I stood and clapped in the theatre after this one. Final Destination is one of my favorite horror franchises (I own them all and marathon them along with my other favorite, Saw, every October) and 4 was such a mess I was ecstatic that the 5th one finally went back to the original feel of the first two and then the TWIST!! I was such a happy nerd that day. ...but yeah, the 3D. It worked. Staying on topic.

ohhhhhhh goddddd. that was literally an exact replica of the conversation that happened in the car when I left this movie at 2:30am on a thursday still. so. sad.

I still can't even talk about this movie without getting teary eyed. It was the biggest disappointment of my whole movie going life. I waited all summer, and would squeal with delight every time the trailer came on tv. We went to a midnight screening and I thought I was going to see the greatest thing I'd ever seen in my whole life. ...Then the movie ended and the whole crowd shuffled out in stunned silence. It didn't make sense. It didn't even try. I just... I just... why?

All of the Romania jokes were super funny, but the movie was actually filmed entirely in Canada. Still makes the Cirque stuff make sense though.

I laughed out loud several times which to me means I'm having fun. The shot of Ray Liotta floating to the ground like Gene Simmons towards the end made the entire thing worth it for me. I also paused it to take a smoke break twice and I think breaking it up like that kept it fun.

IN THE NAME OF THE KING has given us a few more All-Stars in Ron Perlman and Jason Statham, also Leelee gets to hop a category! You go Leelee! I also want some opinions about whether or not "Bad Ass" should count as a third appearance for Danny Trejo. I don't really count it as an episode, since it was really just an interview... but what do you guys think?

I've been trying to figure out for a while now what you would call the genre of 80's music that is similar to the Glen Frey song in this episode. Lately I've been resorting to calling it "Macgruber music" It's that kind of pop rock-y stuff where a guy sings a love song in a gravely voice and saxophones and a guitar solo are always present. There's a lot of it in 80s action movies and it seems to represent ultimate badassness but the song itself is actually hella campy. I feel like there must be a specific name for this...

I know that, but the show has caused me to associate genuine and heartwarming moments with a shocking death that immediately follows. So I can't enjoy the nice moments anymore because I don't trust them!

I am SO nervous/expecting basically everyone to die to the point that it's causing me to ruin the show for myself. Last week in the scene before the sex scene I was covering my eyes because I was SO convinced that someone was about to die. I'm too worked up. I need the show to be over for the season just for the sake of my blood pressure.
