  1. Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know that the Howl Annual Plans have officially launched!

The current introductory price is $35 per year! That shakes out to about $2.91 per month. So if you already know you'll want Howl for a year, it's a great discount and you won't have to worry about billing or auto-renew or any junk like that for 13 whole months (you get a free month just for starting the plan)!

This annual plan will eventually increase in price, so if you think it's something you wanna do, go for it now and save some moneeey!

(Please note: Any 'free month trial' coupon codes from Earwolf ads will not apply to these annual memberships, but they are still valid for the monthly plan.)

  2. Adidas shelltoes are one of the most iconic brands of sneakers ever made. But how did they get there? Thanks to an iconic Harlem drug dealer who was also a street ball legend and thanks to Run-DMC. We’ll talk to DMC, Russell Simmons, Jam-Master Jay’s older brother and more and you’ll hear all about the night at Madison Square Garden where Run-DMC single-handedly launched the revival of the Adidas brand.

  3. Why did everyone fall in love with Prince in 1984? Purple Rain was the #1 album and the #1 movie. Before that year Prince had never sold more than 2 million albums. In 1984 he sold 16 million. What made the difference? We’ll talk to a slew of his friends and bandmates—including his guitarist Dez Dickerson, his saxophonist Eric Leeds, his engineer Susan Rogers, and singer Susannah Melvoin, the first woman he got engaged to. She tells the story of how he proposed. Also, an amazing story about Prince, Elizabeth Taylor, and a courageous audio technician from Quincy, Massachusetts.

  4. I feel like I need to use this forum to bring attention to the fact that CRAZY EX GIRLFRIEND IS PERFECT TELEVISION AND IT'S ON NETFLIX NOW AND YOU NEED TO WATCH IT OKAY?

No one told me that there was a hilarious musical on tv and I was so angry when I started watching that no one told me, like legit furious. So I've decided to become an evangelist for this show and to tell anyone who will listen to me about it. I promise you won't regret it. Okay thanks.

Hey Shannon (or anyone else) I'm dumb and can't find the NNF archives on my app. I see them on the website on my computer, but just a few eps on the app itself. Am I a moron?

Hey Luke, you're not dumb. I promise.

All you need to do is go into the NNF page in the Earwolf section of the app, and pull down to refresh. Maybe go out to the "all shows" page and pull to refresh there too for good measure. The app just needs to ping the API once to pull in all those new archives, and then they should stick around after that. Pull to refresh is the answer in a lot of cases, so just for future reference, always try that first! :)

If you do have any issues with eps disappearing or anything please email support (address in my signature) so that I can get the team on it.

  6. I'm surprised everyone was so aghast at the idea of eating dry ramen noodles. I feel like when I was a child, they were eaten raw more often than cooked, and they're no rougher on the teeth than chips or pretzels.

My favorite Kpop group are the spokespeople for Ppushu Ppushu which is dry ramen noodles intentionally sold as snacks, lolz

  7. North Carolina has had a bit of a bathroom problem lately, and the good people of Charlotte have been looking for someone, anyone to take shots at the transphobic laws and discriminating rhetoric that have cast a pallor over their city and state. Enter the Sklar Brothers. On this episode of Finding the Funny, Randy and Jason get political, religious, and philosophical. They get to throw out a first pitch at the Charlotte Knights minor league baseball game, ride along in a NASCAR at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and visit the now defunct Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker amusement park. No sacred cow is safe in the most controversial episode of this podcast to date. This is Finding The Funny: Charlotte!
