    No. Dude it is not a bad movie.

     

    It is a live action version of an Archie comic that never fails to understand exactly what it is. The plot is clever and funny and the cast is excellent.

     

    Alan Cumming takes great offense to people saying this is a bad movie, BECAUSE IT'S NOT A BAD MOVIE.

    I listened to the bonus material before the actual episode, so when they got to the improv about the baby genes I realized that "that's why we had a girl was to avoid this!" "Yes, I remember we were given the choice going into the second trimester" was a callback and I laughed extra hard to myself.

     

    Matt, please feel free to post any and all deleted sketches... we clearly can't get enough.

    Listening to people talk about mushrooms just makes me want mushrooms... only twice a year though.

     

    I loved all of Aaron's Mormon talk too, my high school was about 50% mormons 50% southern baptists so there was a lot of crossover. It made me miss my Mormon friends and the grace with which they took criticism and spoke about their religion. I always found it way more interesting than mine.

     

    I also really miss Tig, but was glad you guys put something out for us anyway. It means a lot to the Blastronauts :)

     

    Can't wait to hear the episode about Synesthesia! I totally have a form of it...

    I'm starting to think that Howard has had a lot of mean girlfriends, he told me about one who made fun of his hands. I believe she said they were womanly or something... I don't remember exactly. Maybe it was the same one.

     

    Happy that the Hunger Games talk is heading into a more positive direction. Howard needs to go see it already!! But I need to disagree with Kulap for a moment, while there are lots of things missing from the HG movie, Gale is not one of them. He was in the movie 5x more than he was in that book. She only thinks about him like once during the games and decides there isn't enough space in her brain for that. He's also really only in the first few chapters of Catching Fire too. Mockingjay is the only Gale heavy book. But I get that the movies are going to try and make him a huge deal because Liam is handsome or whatever.

     

    ...Gale is the worst. rant>

    I had an absolutely terrible day, and this is making me laugh so hard I'm in pain.

     

    I needed this today. I was trying to get out of my funk and I heard Brody in my head saying, "Positive Energy, Yes!" and went to listen to this one again. It's starting to cheer me. Thank you Brody Stevens.

    But that's the thing Mark, there is NO time travel involved in this movie!

     

    The people are just...clocks.

     

    The first minute of the movie JT does a voiceover that says, "I don't know how or why things got this way... they just...are."

    I am absolutely devastated by Kulap's turn on the Hunger Games... After two weeks of trying not to cry while everyone on every podcast shits on their new favorite thing to shit on for no reason, I thought that I had someone on my side...

     

    But... she didn't like Catching Fire? I am so dumbfounded by this. The fandom basically agrees that Catching Fire is the best book.... If she didn't like it she shouldn't read Mockingjay, because a ton of people (who are wrong btw) think it's the worst book.

     

    I have so many feels bro

    I usually read the wiki on movies I don't have access to/can't bear to see, so that I have some understanding going in. The wiki on this movie was so boring and confusing I couldn't get through more than two paragraphs.

     

     

    This caused an intense emotional investment in all of the confusion, it made for a tense listen. I was really feeling Jessica and felt myself getting completely overwhelmed at one point.

     

    But oh god I laughed so hard.
