  1. Oh! And one more thing...

I laughed a lot at all of your "old people be hatin'" concerns that "kids these days" are getting pregnant too much and being too wild. Followed closely by a discussion about being wild hippy teenagers. I love it.

But actually, according to this recently released study, teen pregnancy in the US is at its lowest since the '40s. So hey! Good news!

  2. Hey Bounty!

Your Hobo With a Shotgun thread still exists! I just combined it with the already existing one. I don't like multiples of movies clogging up that board, it's unnecessary.

As for pictures, don't use that crazy attachment thing. It doesn't really work. What you need to do is go upload the photo somewhere, (facebook, tinypic, photobucket) so that your photo now has a url... click on the little polaroid of a tree icon in the toolbar, paste your image url and voila! It should post just fine :)

  3. I was so on board with everything right until the serious defense of KStew at the end...

Okay I get it, she seems like she'd be fun to smoke a bowl with... but girl is a turrrible actress. I'm really upset that I can't go see Snow White and The Huntsman because everything about it looks awesome but I CANNOT watch her make her bitchface for 2 hours. No thank you.

Awesome episode. Loved super giggly Andy, he was making me giggle too :D

  4. That really was a stellar Brett Gelman impression. I wonder how long Seth Morris could appear as him before we realized we were being hoodwinked.

OH OHH can we please have an episode where Seth plays Brett, James Adomian can do Andy Kindler or Todd Glass, and Pete Holmes could do his TJ Miller.

I love when comedians do impressions of each other so much.

  5. When I lost it: "did you write Purkl?"

Matt- I noticed the cuts during Stephanie's story at the beginning and during the boss/pick up artist sketch. Honestly it didn't really phase me, I figured the cuts were just removing slow bits for time. I don't think you needed to cut any of them. Especially because The Game references in the inbreeding sketch wouldn't have worked and that would be sad.

    Great episode!!

Oh, and ps... If any of you dudes have ever read The Game I sincerely hope you don't follow anything in that horrid book. I'd like you to know what women aren't all stupid and we don't just love being tricked and condescended. Also, "if she says no, she means yes. If she says stop, don't" is a really great way to get arrested on rape charges. This has been a public service announcement from me.

With that said, I do like to see varying opinions on these boards- as long as it's civil and thoughtful. I listen to Earwolf podcasts to escape my day-today annoyances, so I'm not looking for any intense discussions, but I sort of like when someone has a variant opinion, so let's not jump all over them.

Thank you for this... I kind of want to take an opportunity to expand on this really quickly...

This is by far, the greatest moderating job I've ever had. Everyone who posts here is really passionate about our podcasts and you guys make me laugh every day. 95% of the time, if someone leaves a negative comment in a thread, it's ignored. Everyone else goes on and posts what they wanted to in the first place. I really like when this happens. It makes my job so super easy.

So, my point is mainly that it works nicely when people decide to let negativity fade into the background instead of drawing it out and spreading the negative energy and making it the main focus.

I don't want to have to give out warnings for name calling to someone who is trying to defend their favorite show. I'd really rather save that stuff for spammers.

I love you my babies. Keep it classy.

  7. Every mini-episode I say the same thing... "There is no way I'm watching that one." And yet, I inevitably do.

This time, I think it might be easier than most to keep myself from watching Pluto Nash. I hurt just thinking about it.

You're much stronger than most of us.

  8. This poor movie... :(

It would be really interesting especially if they found someone who was involved with the movie, (I vote Chris Pratt!!) because from what I gathered, it was originally a completely different movie but it tested badly and had to be redone. I think I heard there was a lot of cocaine in the orignal script.

It's so obvious when watching it that there is a lot missing from the movie. And the plot line is so similar to "Can't Hardly Wait" except they're all adults so it's actually just sad.

  9. I've been so busy lately I finally got through my podcast queue to this episode today! it was amazing.

I totally agree about the character guests. These two are so good at improv that every single chart led to an incredible story or discussion, there wasn't a pause anywhere. Just non-stop hilarious.

    Really excellent guys

This movie is pretty ridiculous as RomComs go. But I absolutely adore it and have seen it upwards of 20 times.

Everything I love always comes up on this board. I clearly really love movies that are insane.

  11. Alright, alright we got it. Some people don't like plugs, some people don't like that people don't like plugs. Can we just talk about how much we don't want to watch Pluto Nash?

... just be nice to each other, please? I really don't like having to do any actual moderating around here.

  12. I really wanted the conversation to go into Boy Meets World territory.

But Fred was only on one episode of BMW. He played Topanga's super rapey professor, Stuart in the season 6 episode "Everybody Loves Stuart." Cory punched him and almost got kicked out of school! It was one of the more serious episodes.

  13.

Can we please hear more about the cranky plumber story? That sounds amazing.

    Haha sure...

Well, this story begins when I moved into that particular house, we discovered the oven was broken on the 2nd night there. My landlord sent over his maintenance guy, Fox, to fix it. He found two watch batteries in the oven and said that's what broke the coil. (wtf) He insisted to my landlord that he just knew that we had put the watch batteries in the oven. Even though the previous tenants had been kicked out when one person threw the other through a glass door. So, maybe they were crazy people who put batteries in ovens. He told my landlord we owed him $500 for the oven damages. We obviously refused because frankly it was total bs and we didn't put any god damn batteries in any oven because that's ridiculous.

Fast forward to 10 months later. My roommates toilet was broken so Fox was supposed to come over and fix it. I was working two jobs and only had the mid afternoon to sleep and I was getting over a respiratory infection. My roommate told Fox over and over on the phone that I would be asleep upstairs and to just come in with his key, go fix the toilet and leave and not to bother me. Well lo and behold I'm woken up by the doorbell ringing 50 times, I didn't want to get up because I felt terrible and I thought if I ignored it he would just come in. Well he did come in, but then he stood in the landing and just screamed "Hello?!" over and over until I dragged my ass downstairs and I was SO mad. I was like, "I'm here, I see you, go fix the toilet I'm going back to bed." He CHASED me up the stairs and was like, "Hey so did you pay for that oven yet?" and I explained that I was never going to pay for the oven because I didn't break it. This dude seriously just went on and on and never shut up about this oven and watch batteries, he was just talking in circles never letting me get a word in. At some point I was starting to see spots, I knew I needed to get back to bed immediately and I was trying so hard to just tell this guy I didn't care and we were done talking but like I said, never a pause to let me say anything. Finally I was like okay I don't care if it's rude, I'm walking away...

But then I woke up on the floor. Fainting really is the strangest feeling and it's hard to describe. You really have no recollection of losing consciousness and when you come to it's very slow and disorienting. You can't tell how much time has passed, if any. It's extremely different from waking up from being asleep. Everything feels warm and it takes a bit for your vision to come back and then you're suddenly freezing cold.

I scrambled to my bedroom and it took me about 15 minutes of pulling my shit together to notice that my head hurt and that I was bleeding. I had to call my roommate to take me to the ER.

Oh, cause the maintenance man ignored the entire thing. For reals. This dude wouldn't leave me alone but the second I go down on my way out the door he's really busy fixing the toilet. I hated that guy. My roommate went crazy on my landlord about it and we never saw him again... but nothing in our house ever got fixed again. I think it was for the best.

...that story is bonkers and this was longer than I thought it would be. cheers if you read it all ^_^
