Was it when Jay asked about the mafia?

Episode 37.5 — Bonus Cut: Bucket of Sand
Lukas Holmes replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I may not be explaining this right, but does anyone else think that I4H is doing something very special with the internet of late? First you had Besser asking those on the forums that had differing opinions to come on the show and defend themselves. Now you have them asking the fans to find clips on YouTube that aren't meant to be funny and have them do improv off of them. It just feels very special to see how this show in particular is making the internet a more interactive, and in some ways, accountable, place. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but I just thought it was interesting. -
Tommy is strong in a crazy homeless guy way. Wonderful! I have to disagree about Batman Forever. I love Batman Forever.

Help me out guys, at one point Cake Boss just lost it laughing and I can't remember what it was now. What moment was that? I don't think it was the Mark MAR-ON thing, but something else that seemed to go on forever. Can someone remind me?

AWESOME!!!!!
-
One of the best WYR's ever. MARC MA-RON! was one of the best moments in CBB history.
-
Where was Seth? Is that Brett in all the GO ON commercials?
-
I would love to see a match-up video of The Ultimate Warrior and Nancy Grace.
-
Yeahhhhh....not sure WTF that was. The part about the couple meeting, and thanking the inventor of the internet was bonkers. I literally had no idea what was happening. I think round about the time they spend thirty minutes building smoke stacks, I knew we were in trouble. Then the army of the Poppinses arrived.

Holy crap! Did I just see Matt Besser in a commercial during the Olympics?

Found the Webster thing. I don't remember the Punky Brewster one, good God, why was there a homeless person on the roof? Better question, why were 80's sitcoms better at tackling tough conversations than anything on TV now?

By the way, in talking about the weirdly dark 'very special episodes' of 80's sitcoms. Does anyone else remember the Webster where he finds the hidden room with what he thinks is a dead girl in a rocking chair? It turned out the parents had lost a baby or something and had just bricked over the room and left it the way it was. I remember being so terrified for weeks afterwards. Actually, sort of scared now thinking about it.

“Aaron, that maybe happened once.” Priceless. I have a horrible story about ‘I know you’! Five years ago I took my nephews up to a park in outer Denver. An older African American man came up to me and just smiled. I knew his face, I couldn’t place it…then I could! “Cookie! Coach cookie! I haven’t seen you since middle school football! How are you?” He just stared at me. I sighed deeply, “You aren’t Cookie are you?” “I bid on the vending machine contracts at your company last week. You met with me for about two hours. We toured all the buildings you own. Good to see you again.” My older nephew just stared at me and said, “Nice.”

I really enjoy how Howard was so touched that they played his song on Rome, that he gave them football cards. There is something so directly sweet and loyal about that. Great episode.

I think there is a difference between offering real 'this could have been better if' dialog and the various 'this sucks' messages that have started appearing. And you know what, here is an idea. If you have something actually negative to say, why don't you email the hosts, or Jeff, or Scott? I did that once with Jeff, and we had a great dialog about it and I realized I was wrong. I just don't see the point of pointing out something you don't like on a FREE podcast. If you paid for it, go nuts. But here, after thousands of hours of free entertainment during one of the worst times in American history, can't you just let your $hitty negative opinion slide? Plenty of stuff upsets me on the internet, but I just don't talk about it because who cares what people hate? I just want to know what people get joy out of so I can see if I will get joy from it too. Yay.

Finally. Tuesday is here.

The Pope asking '...will she be doing it all in the one-ringy-dingy voice' finally broke me. Also, I have to call for a rules judgement on WYR. Bob clearly voted early and yet was not penalized. I realize no one wants to reward a Nazi/child molester apologist...but still...I think the Pope won.

I'm going to need a Wesley-a-day-calendar to keep me from losing my $hit on the negative people on the forums. You are a refreshing voice of reason. On a side note, Besser was great as always. What is upsetting about what he did was that...did he ever REALLY blow things out of proportion that much or flat out lie? Hitler Youth, Penn State, Catholic Church. It's upsetting because the basis of everything was real. Can you believe that? God how I wish he was just working off suggestions of nonsense like 'what if Joe Pat harbored and hid a child rapist?', 'What if the new Pope was a HITLER YOUTH?', 'What if the Catholic Church knowingly moved around child predators to new churches to molest new kids?'. Wouldn't it be f*cking great if it was all just made up fun? But God help us...it isn't. =(

Well put.

Sorry to hear SDCC wasn't so great for Ku. I hope we get to see her, Scott and some of the Earwolf guys next year at DCC. We had a great first year this year and it was super fun. Thought I would share. Cheers! http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_21106794/denver-comic-con-breaks-first-year-record-welcomes

And PS, Dan is a genius and a great addition to the show.

All due respect, shove that opinion right up your ass. So tired of these people showing up on these forums with their first post being something very negative. You can feel free to be negative after you are positive for a time. Don't just show up and the first thing out of your mouth is 'this sucks' you pompous POS.
-
Man. We need you guys to get to Denver and lift us up quick guys.
-
HA! So the entire point was, it was an embarrassing story? God that makes me happy.

I was just thinking about something today. I have totally forgotten what the point of Kyle's farting story was. Can anyone remind me? Also, am I the only one that has now tried to cut one with one cheek raised now?
