Episode 33 — Anders Holm, Our Close Friend
kneisage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Hi Mr. Wain have you ever noticed that your first initial and last name almost make the name "Dwain" like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Could you please speak your thoughts on The Rock Johnson please. Thank you! -

Loyal fans might remember that back in the day I did a Popcorn Gallery theme that was praised by Hayes and Sean for being very long (they said they wished it was longer) and by Grace Helbig for being "anxiety inducing." So you have some big shoes to fill https://soundcloud.c...andbook-popcorn Not a bad idea -

If any of us ever meet each other in real life, is it going to be weird because we wrote about fucking each other on the forums? -

Sort of along those lines, they actually did an episode that was really great where Matt gave some notes to up and coming UCB Harold teams. But it would be really great to see more! It really gave me even more respect for improvisers to see just how much thought and training goes into creating a great scene. http://www.earwolf.c...-ask-the-ucb-2/

This week's opening segment is the funniest thing I have ever heard in podcasting. The End. End of post. -
Hey cool! I took a class at Mary Immaculate College but it was this weird program where a teacher from my college came with us on the trip and taught the class, just in a different setting? Who knows. We may have stopped for a bit in Kilkenny to look at a castle but I don't think we spent much time there. It looks like a really cool city though from what I see here on google. When I go back someday I'll have to make it a point to stop there also the bartender was ok I think he was just teasing AKA being cheeky as I like to say
-
ACTUALLY I spent most of the time in Limerick but we also stayed a few days in Galway and then a bit in Dublin too plus a few visits all around like Cork and places like that too. All of them very nice places. I did do touristy stuff like the Blarney Stone and Guinness factory and one time I tried to buy a beer with a credit card and the bartender went "ugh Americans" so sorry about that fellow Americans I am a shitty ambassador

Dang I wish my family got to hang out with DMX!!! Once Johnny Knoxville came into my brothers' work though so that's pretty neat but not as cool. No pictures of that as far as I know though, sorry scoop troop Honlads I have been to Ireland!! I went there for a few weeks for college. Andrew I also was in England (Manchester) for about an hour because the Irish airports had too much snow. Do you go to the Manchester airport a lot? It seemed pretty cool from the window of my plane. You should check it out if you've never been. Cheers mate

/!\ Long post below BEWARE /!\ One time when I was also a little boy I was walking through some ivy in a friend's backyard and I stepped on some kind beehive (wasp nest?) buried underground, and I was a dumb child so I figured if I didn't move, the bees would leave me alone, but turns out I just made myself an easy target and they stung me a whole bunch. Finally I started running and my friend's mom was standing there with a hose and she sprayed me with the hose to get the bees off. Then my mom drove me to the hospital but I was ok. The End. Thanks! I really appreciate it. I haven't had a chance to look at all of these yet but your Comedy Bang! Bang! script is hilarious, nice job. I hadn't even considered that for a spec but it seems like a good show for a writer to show off sketches and jokes since it's crammed so full of bits. You take full advantage of that which is awesome. Also I love Workaholics and Girls so I'm psyched to see your take on them. As for me, writing Podcast: The Musical took a loooong time and now trying to find people I know who can sing/act who might want to be in it has been taking up a lot of time but also it's been fun since it's always sort of been my dream to write a musical. Maybe some day it'll happen! I've also been working on some sketches that some friends might help me shoot, but other than that, I'm still trying to figure out what my next big project is going to be. I've considered writing another spec, but I'm not sure what to do with it once it's done. Do you send it to talent agencies or like, hand it off to a friend in the biz? Corner M. Night Shyamalan at the dry cleaners? I've considered trying to pitch more articles to members of the Earwolf family: Cracked.com (I did a few for them http://www.cracked.c...mbers/kneisage/) because they always get a ton of hits, but Cracked is very particular about the kinds of articles they accept and it requires a good amount of research and effort to get an article accepted so I have to make sure I've got the energy to hop back into that process. VB, if you or anyone else is interested in pitching to them let me know. I can give a few pointers. So yeah who knows! If anyone has ideas of what I should do with my life I will probably do what you tell me to do! thx ;\ Oh also don't ask me why but one time I also wrote a full-length script for Rush Hour 4 where they go back in time and fight in the Civil War. I have no idea what I was thinking but here it is http://andything.fil...ush-hour-41.pdf The End

Howard Dean's name almost sounds like the phrase "how're ya doin" which--from the sound of Freja's story--would make his name the most polite thing about him!!! also if you're wondering... no I did not spend several minutes trying to make this joke comprehensible
-
haha yeah I was going for a Subway's Jared sort of feel for it. He's a big influence on my shitty jokes. And thanks! I appreciate the compliment. This is making me want to go back and update this and fix all the mistakes and weird parts I somehow overlooked back then.
-
Oh yeah sure check it out if ya want! This is from a while ago when the characters were all different and shit. Also it might be terrible, I haven't read it in a while but here it is online http://andything.fil.../fat-pants1.pdf edit: please ignore the weird font and typos I didn't know what the heck I was doing back then
-
All of this is really great. Do you have specs and stuff? I wrote a spec a while ago for Park n' Rec but I didn't ever do much with it Edit: Michael Bay of Pigs I am a bit of a computer geek and in my professional opinion, get the heck off Bing
-
don't ever stop, Greggy.
-
Sorry about your relationship and your cat. BUT yeah this is funny stuff. I think you nailed the reality show asshole vibe. I especially liked the bit about your band being on TV.
-
I am you. We were the same person all along hahaha
-
All of the cats my family has ever owned have all started with B's (Baby, Bonnie, Becky, Belle, Button, and Bo) but sadly all but Bo have passed. We are now discussing sad cat stories, right?
-
Cats don't understand English so it doesn't really matter
-
Or maybe he had his eyes on... well... how to put this? A certain part of the male anatomy... an area where Hayes and Sean are particularly umm... endowed? PS Freja what is your cat's name? big fan of cats over here
-
