Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991)

And we still have "Last Boy Scout" that would also be great.

EPISODE 122 - Death Spa: LIVE!

I just looked up his IMDB page, and I didn't realize that he was dead before this movie even came out. Also, I remember seeing one of those "Top Child Stars of the 80's" or "Before They Were Stars" shows where they talked about Sarah Jessica Parker being on "Square Pegs" like it was a cultural phenomenon. You'd swear it was the "Friends" of its day or something, but then they're like "But no one actually watched it when it was on, and it was canceled after one season".

EPISODE 122 - Death Spa: LIVE!

I'm guessing that the VHS/Beta line was a holdover from when the script was originally written in '83, because that war had been over for a long, long time, at least as far as which format was dominant and would be sticking around is concerned. Comparing yourself to Beta after that is just calling yourSELF a loser.

    ***LEXI ALEXANDER SIGHTING***

I think I saw on her Twitter that she said Rachel Talalay is doing an episode of Flash, and SHE is a name that I haven't heard about in forever. She was a part of the Nightmare on Elm Street series for a long time, having directed Freddy's Dead, and then she went on to direct Tank Girl. I guess she's worked steadily in TV though, having even done a bunch of recent Dr. Who episodes. I remember that she was even at one time attached to direct Preacher quite a while ago, and maybe she'll STILL get a stab at directing some episodes of that when it starts up.

***LEXI ALEXANDER SIGHTING*** She directed last night's episode of "Arrow"! I saw her name pop up onscreen and instantly went to her IMDB page to see what she's been up to, and it doesn't look like there's been anything else lately. Hopefully, we'll see more of her soon, as "Arrow" is a pretty good fit for someone with action chops, and most of DC's superhero TV stuff is really entertaining as well.

EPISODE 122 - Death Spa: LIVE!

I'm sure the He-Man/Skeletor/Gwildor fan fic exists somewhere...

I checked her page out, but like most of Twitter, it looked like the same 4 things being Tweeted or Retweeted over and over and over and over, so I'll probably just stick to occasionally checking in. Twitter is such a nightmarish hellscape of bullshit. Jason is right to stay far, far away from there!

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

Here's one of the songs that sounds like it's about hitchhiker murder that really isn't (I think...). It's about a guy that's being driven crazy by someone he picked up on the way to Graceland that won't stop talking about the Beatles and the Stones.

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

I was the Punisher for Halloween like three years in a row, but unfortunately, I'm blond-haired and blue-eyed, which doesn't leave a lot of options for unmasked superhero costumes, because I'm not big enough to be Captain America. Hmmmm, maybe I can pull off Hawkeye though. Let's see, who else could I be from the HDTGM universe? Maybe I'd do another repeat and be Taylor Lautner's dad in "Abduction", because I already know that the costume fits (see Episode 33).

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

Speaking of Sarah Jaffe... The Toadies are one of my favorite bands, and they did a PJ Harvey cover with her a couple years back. Even their more upbeat tunes (of which this isn't one of them) sound like perfect music to bury hitchhikers to, whether the songs are about burying hitchhikers or not. There are surprisingly few in their catalog!

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, but was only there until I was about 6 months old. A decade or so later, it became the birthplace of the Dave Matthews Band, and while I have no hometown pride or anything, I DO feel the need to reclaim my city and bring it back to wait it was before it was so inappropriately reappropriated. Over the years, the DMB has claimed the lifestyles of a lot of my friends that grew up loving rap and metal, turning them into unrecognizable husks of their former selves. I wage this war in their memory. For serious, you guys. For total realsies.

    EPISODE 121.5 - Minisode 121.5

That close to Christmas, they may as well do the holiday special! Pantom Menace is the deadest, most uninteresting horse there is.

    Jem and The Holograms (2015)

I think I read that it was something like 4th worst opening ever for a film with 2000+ screens. Right behind it was the new Bill Murray flick, also out this week. It was a (sort of) record breaking weekend at the box office! Pretty much every new release this week shit the bed.

    EPISODE 121 - Perfect: LIVE!

My JCVD HDTGM pick would be "TimeCop", because I think it's fun to talk about futuristic movies that take place in the near enough future that end up missing the mark. This movie is only about 20 years old, yet we're already more than 10 years past NOT having time travel in 2004. At least as far as we know. Hmmmm... For movies that won't make brains explode though (at least not those of our hosts), I'd go "Hard Target" or "Sudden Death".

    EPISODE 121 - Perfect: LIVE!

I think I'm going to binge watch the "Universal Soldier" trilogy tonight. That would of course be parts 1, 3, and 4.

    Aloha

No movie will ever beat "Wolf of Wall Street" when it comes to scenes involving telepathic combat. Not this, not "X-Men". NOTHING.

    Hackers

Have you played any of the video games from the time on anything bigger than what we had back then? Technology has not been kind. A couple years back, I E-Bayed off a bunch of old PS1 games, which I tested first on my 42" TV, and even THAT looked pretty bad. As far as more recent stuff (well, PS2 and above), we've played video games on movie screens at my work Christmas parties, which actually look better in the smaller auditoriums where the projector isn't as far from the screen.

    Only the Strong (1993)

Also, at the very end, when all the students are basically demonstrating everything they've learned, there's one guy that JUST does a fucking cartwheel, and that's it. Everyone else does some crazy flippy shit, this guy does a cartwheel, and that's the end of the movie for him.

Electric Boogaloo - The Wild Story Of Cannon Films

He was also Captain America in the two TV movies, one of which featured Christopher Lee dying of old age nearly FORTY YEARS ago! He really hung in there!
