    The Lost World: Jurassic Park

I did like though that they were at least different games, as I had both systems, and if an identical game came out for both, I'd usually go with the SNES, because I liked the gameplay better.

    Left Behind (2014)

So, this is on Netflix right now, and I threw it on last night, only to fall asleep about fifteen minutes in. I did manage to see this though, one of the most fantastically bad fake family photos ever seen on film...

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

Well, we all know that Hollywood accounting is a little fuzzy. "Alright, Eddie, make me believe that Forrest Gump lost money."

    Kung Fury

It doesn't seem to ever wink at the camera, which a lot of homages tend to do, but they do play with how badly those films were made, like the actors playing characters that are really just actors trying to keep their shit together while trying not to be noticed noticing that the boom mike is in the frame. I love that fucking movie so much...

    Kung Fury

Have we suggested "Black Dynamite" at all in the forums? To me, that's one of the most well-crafted tributes to a particular genre done in the style of the genre that's ever been done. I'm sure we've brought it up somewhere...

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

As far as films that they can claim one hundred percent ownership of are concerned, they really have just been riding on the goodwill of that first "Matrix", because even though that second one made a lot of money, the performance of the THIRD one, which came out only a few months later and did HALF the business, was a really good indicator of how NOT liked "Reloaded" was. Had it ended with that second one, it would have looked like a huge hit on paper.

    The Lost World: Jurassic Park

I never cared for the original, as while the effects were groundbreaking, it was an early victim of having evvvvvverything shown to you before the movie came out, at least as far as how all the creature effects were pulled off. The second movie was the same thing, but everyone remembered to bring guns this time. I think I was hoping that most of the movie was more along the lines of what the last ten minutes ended up being.

I know this is supposed to be movie recommendations but...

The show has been around in some way, shape, or form since about the 1870s, so that doesn't surprise me at all

I know this is supposed to be movie recommendations but...

And how about when the cops come to question someone, the people NEVER stop what they're doing to just answer questions. They literally can't stop working for two minutes. If they're an artist, they're painting. If they're a construction foreman, they're walking around a site and barking out orders. If they're a surgeon and they're doing a heart transplant, they're doing it WHILE being a snarky asshole to Chris Meloni or whoever.

You just know that if they bring that computer in in the first twenty minutes though, there's no way that the computer did it!

Episode 109 - FACE OFF: LIVE!

Good catch! I hadn't thought of that, but I may have pointed out (or maybe not) that like a lot of John Woo movies, there is a CRAZY amount of carnage, other people killed, and an unreal amount of collateral damage, but it basically comes down to a knife fight or something, a one-on-one confrontation where the bad guy doesn't die in one of the millions of explosions.

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

I think Netflix's DVD plan is good for the odd TV show here and there that I don't necessarily need to catch up on RIGHT this moment that isn't streaming. Right now, I'm knee-deep in "The Mindy Project" and "Banshee". I just worked on a couple of episodes for the upcoming fourth season of "Banshee", so I figured I should see what it's all about, and I really dig it.

*ahem* "NOT THE BEES!" Thank you...

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

Oh, believe me, I was the first to say that Nic Cage would not be an improvement!

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

I think Nic Cage being Pretzie makes "Leaving Las Vegas" the unofficial sequel, because that ending was darrrrrrrrrk.

    EPISODE 111.5 — Minisode 111.5

RedBox is used by people who complain that "there's NOTHING to watch on Netflix", meaning they can't watch whatever Happy Madison piece of shit that hit DVD that particular week.

I know this is supposed to be movie recommendations but...

If we were to dive into TV territory, I could really go for some of the crazier ripped-from-the-headlines mash-up episodes of SVU. The show's dumber than shit to begin with, but when they combine two unrelated scandals into one big mess, it's usually gold. Also, I'm always amused when Ice-T or whoever has to explain some internet porn thing every three episodes or so, like these top cops never retain any knowledge they gained from previous episodes.

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

I think it was awesome that he just seemed to have that rap ready to go, having never even encountered a ninja, much less a ninja TURTLE, until like ten seconds before.

    Kickboxer (1989)

Don't you EVER think it's wrong to enjoy JCVD. It's not your fault that he made so many enjoyable films. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault...

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

We need a giant map of the world for Adam Scott sightings to put pins in. So far, we've got one pin in Cleveland, OH, and another in Los Angeles. Everyone else, feel free to help out!

    Eagle Eye (2008)

Of course! I mean, if one dies, the other just inherits the power of the other and becomes some sort of being that's greater than either twin would have ever been on its own, even if the surviving twin was always the fuck-up. I imagine that it HAS to happen exactly like this...

    The Haunting (1999)

Jan de Bont made this, and he was a cinematographer first, so it doesn't surprise me that it looks great overall, but it's almost like someone made a bet with him that he couldn't top himself and make a movie more boring than "Speed 2"...
  23. PlanBFromOuterSpace

EPISODE 110 — The Island of Dr. Moreau

That also puts him in "Barb Wire".
  24. PlanBFromOuterSpace

    The Haunting (1999)

Unlike 2 out of 3 of those though, I have zero desire to revisit this, because I think I've only seen it once and remember it being one the most boring movies that I've EVER seen in a theater. Not the worst, but just unmemorable and a complete drag.

EPISODE 111 — Hercules in New York: LIVE!

Filming a movie in Ohio called "My Blind Brother", co-starring Nick Kroll and Jenny Slate! I worked on it about three weeks ago, and it's wrapping up shortly if it hasn't already.
