    Interstellar (2014)

Maybe they CAN make anything funny, but do they want to? There isn't much to go on with "Interstellar", aside from what was basically the "Fuck science, the secret ingredient was LOVE all along!" kind of stuff and the fact that our hero doesn't really give a shit about the other kid that ISN'T a total brainiac. If they're going to tackle sci-fi that absolutely misses the mark, I'd much rather see them tackle "Southland Tales".

    Interstellar (2014)

They can be crazy, and crazy doesn't necessarily mean bad.

EPISODE 108 — Con Air LIVE!

Because words simply cannot describe it, it's literally THAT incredible.

    Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

The first one made a boatload of cash and the Happy Madison crew is ALL about paid vacations, that's about the only "How" to it.

    Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991)

I'd still like to know what fucking "Metallica breath" means. It's like the writer thought "What's a thing these metal slacker kids would like? BAM. Gold." NOT what the writer thought: "Does that make any sense at all?"

    Zandalee (1991)

He looks like he's on the set of "Growing Pains" or something.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009)

"2012" ultimately proved to be GROSSLY inaccurate as well.

What Makes A Good HDTGM Movie?

I don't think anyone's going to lose work over trashing "Piranha 3DD" though. Paul wasn't in much of it, but it'd be interesting to hear the differences between working on the first one, which was a fairly big production, and the second, which was more or less straight-to-VOD trash.

    Monsters (2010)

I get the low budget thing, and this does fine and looks great considering what they had to work with, but this didn't have compelling characters that I cared about, and that's more the fault of the writing, because it doesn't cost a thing to have those in your movie.

    Monsters (2010)

I thought the creature stuff was good, but holy shit was it boring when we were just left with the two leads (although I like Scoot McNairy in a lot of things), and what became a love story because there's a guy in the movie, there's a girl in the movie, and what the fuck else are they going to do...

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

D'oh! You beat me to it! I know I've used it before, maybe on the God's Not Dead (NOW on Netflix) thread.

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

They need to face/off against Sebastian "Hollow Man" Caine (already pictured , look closely...) and his group of villainous science guys in the sequel!

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

"WHO'S THERE?!?!" - Common Blind Person Question That reminds me, at my theater we have glasses and headsets for the hearing and/or vision impaired (I'm fairly certain that no one has been both...) that provide captions and descriptions. I understand that most people that are going to the movies haven't had vision or hearing problems their entire lives, but some probably have, and these things aren't made with those people in mind. I know I've seen captions that read something like "Benny Hill music plays" or descriptions that say "They enter a cylinder-like spacecraft", which has to be frustrating for people that have never had the CHANCE to hear music or see a fucking spaceship, much less a cylinder, in their lives. Also, Werner Herzog did a fantastic Paul F. Tompkins on this show.

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

The cow would NOT have lost to Roberto Benigni, as "Life Is Beautiful" came out the year BEFORE. He would have lost to Kevin Spacey, who was fucking wonderful in "American Beauty". Still, it's a shame that the crocodile was so discouraged that it gave up on showbiz, apparently to help raise Bridgett Fonda's kids.

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

Also, like in "To Kill a Mockingbird", Robert Duvall plays the crocodile.

EPISODE 107 — Lake Placid: LIVE!

If NextIssue.com is like Netflix for magazines, does that mean that all of the magazines are all at least a few months old? In that case, it's like Netflix for my dentist's office.

    The Heartbreak Kid (2007)

I think I remember that being the selling point for "Heartbreak Kid", like "Hey, the Farrellys are re-teaming with Ben Stiller, and you guys liked that before, remember?". It didn't really help either party. For some reason, I always liked "Stuck On You", which seems to appeal to no one else.

    Furious 7

It's amazing how far he's come from what may be one of the worst (and I'm being generous with this term) "car chases" ever put on film in the original "Saw". It's hilarious if you haven't seen it.

    The Heartbreak Kid (2007)

It really doesn't lend itself well to this show. You said it, it's just bad and not really funny. It fails, but not in a "can you believe this?" Kind of way.

    Furious 7

It actually starts showing at 7 pm. I manage a theater, and it seems that midnight shows have pretty much been eliminated by the studios in favor of running regular nighttime shows on Thursdays. In fact, we have to do them for everything now, whether it's THAT kind of movie or not. It's bullshit, because we now have to shuffle things around for Thursdays only to have to do it again for Friday. It works out better for us though payroll-wise, and it's nice to not have to be there until 3 am.

    Samurai Cop (1991)

Due to the recent passing of Robert Z'Dar, I wanted to give this one a little bump.
  22. PlanBFromOuterSpace

    Southland Tales (2006)

If you get an erection that lasts longer than this movie, you may want to call your doctor.
  23. Or maybe "Hobo With A Shotgun Presents...".

    EPISODE 106.5 — Minisode 106.5

Could you imagine the amazing eye acting that we'd get from Cage as he's sitting there splattered across the giant window just waiting to die?!

    Daddy Day Camp

I misread that as "Cuba Gooding and Jeff Garland look alike".
