    Thir13en Ghosts (2001)

Oh, and I think the most MYSTERIOUS number-in-title title is "Step Up 2 The Streets". I mean, is it supposed to be "Step Up 2" with "The Streets" as the subtitle, or is it saying "Step Up TO the Streets"? I guess we were never meant to know...

    Thir13en Ghosts (2001)

Even "Seven" didn't originally use it in the title though, as the original poster had it spelled out gimmick-free. I haven't watched it in a while, so I can't remember, but was "Se7en" maybe something they did in the credits?

    Lucy (2014)

The "having access to more of her brain gives her superpowers" thing reminds me of the movie "Doom" and how all these people were turned into monsters because they had an extra chromosome that made them all powerful and stuff. In real life though, an extra chromosome means that you probably have Down Syndrome, which would have made for an infinitely more entertaining movie.

    Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

I like how if you look at the "Mad Max" Blu-Ray box set, it's like "Mad Max" gets a commentary and lots of extras and "Road Warrior" gets a lot of extras, but when it gets to "Beyond Thunderdome", all it really has to say is "Well...hey, it's on Blu-Ray, right?!".

    Episode 89 — Gooby

Is this library like the Canadian equivalent of the Library of Congress or something? That's the only reason I can think of for this even being allowed to happen.

    Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)

I still think that doing "Hellraiser: Bloodline" would be better, as Adam Scott was in it, and it'd be an awesome excuse to have it back. The latest one, "Revelation", would be great too, as it looks like it cost about 28 dollars to make, it's the one that Doug Bradley wouldn't even come back for, and there's plenty of what-the-fuckery going on that isn't related to plot that actually should be.

    HDTGM.....Video Game Edition?

The Angry Video Game Nerd and his friends have had some pretty great videos this year that would would fall into HDTGM territory, particularly a two-parter on the Universal Studios game where you spend 90% of the time running back and forth across the park (with a horrible, horrible camera angle that sometimes makes it impossible to figure out where you really are) picking up trash and standing in line just so you can spend 2 minutes playing a Back to the Future mini-game. There was also a review of a CD-I "game" The Flowers of Robert Maplethorpe, which is exactly as awesome as it sounds, and then a look at possibly the worst racing game ever, Big Rigs, which inspired this... He'd actually be a hell of a guest for a future video game-inspired episode.

Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!

Would it be too much to hope that they keep trying to get bigger guests like this? I would fucking die if they could maybe get Jon Voight for "Baby Geniuses 2" or something. It's too bad (but not really) that they've already done "Anaconda".

    Transformers: Age of Extinction

I think they were struggling with that one, like that episode just didn't fit in anywhere, and then all of a sudden *LIGHTBULB*. It was almost as strong as the episode where Bumblebee got hooked on drugs because he couldn't deal with the pressure of fighting intergalactic baddies during the day and still having to practice complicated dance numbers with his friends at night, all because that big time record exec was going to be passing through town. He was so excited, but also so scared.

    Transformers: Age of Extinction

There was that "very special episode" though where the Transformer that turned into a bicycle shop invited Spike and his friend Dudley over so that he could take pictures of them with their shirts off. It was...ill-advised, to say the least.

    Entrapment (1999)

I remember it becoming a running gag on some late night show or another, like they'd re-cut the trailer so that EVERY shot of Connery was him saying doing the "You're the man now, dog!" line, and then they'd run it into the ground. I still use it to this day...

Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!

Indeed. If discussions about finding porn in the woods do nothing for you, you've certainly never found porn in the woods! I remember that topic coming up on like three different podcasts that I listened to that week, which was weird. They talked about it here of course, it came up on "Go Bayside", and I'm sure I heard it somewhere else. Has there been some sort of comeback that I'm not aware of on some 80s-themed TV show or movie? Did someone find porn in the forest on an episode of "The Goldbergs"?

    Transformers: Age of Extinction

So I guess that shows just HOW MUCH Michael Bay wanted a subplot about banging underage girls in his movie if it isn't even an issue where the movie takes place, which I'm sure he or the writers never even bothered to research.

    Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

This reminds me, I had worked on the upcoming Russell Crowe film "Fathers and Daughters" back in April, where I was attending a book signing for Crowe's character, who played an author in the film. There were a few dozen of us extras, and he'd chat with us a little between takes and set-ups. At one point, he asked "How many of you have friends or family that are on the film crew?", and a bunch of hands go up, mostly towards the front. "Ah, that's what I thought," he said. "Now, how many of you have seen the film 'Noah'?" he asks. More hands go up, scattered all around the place. "What did you people think of it?", asks the star of the film. Everyone LOVED it, of course. "See, THESE are the people that deserve to be up front!", followed by laughter and applause. I had only caught bits and pieces of the movie, had no real desire to see it, but when RUSSELL FUCKING CROWE asks you to your face what you think of his movie that's playing in theaters right now, of course you love it. It was funny though, because he'd continue to try to sell us on "Noah" for the rest of the morning.

Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!

Listening to where Hulk is in the beginning of the film, with the PTSD and his erratic behavior, I'm kind of imagining this as an alternate universe, PG version of the Chris Benoit story. I'm only 25 minutes in, so I apologize if this actually comes up later...

As much as I love Bill Murray, I'd kill for a fan edit of the "Garfield" movies with Shieky's voice dubbed in. All will be humbled.

    Heaven Is for Real (2014)

We had this movie for quite some time, and while I didn't see it in it's entirety, I caught bits and pieces of it here and there. Any of the stuff that I saw with Kinnear and most of the adults in general seemed pretty well-acted, but holy shit, that KID. He looked uninterested and restless the whole time, and every word out of his mouth seemed so awkward and stilted. It seemed like in every shot I saw him in that he was just repeating words, like they were being fed to him through an earpiece, or maybe his mom was mouthing the words to him from just out of frame. Fucking brutal. As far as the story is concerned, is there any controversy at all regarding the fact that it happens to be a pastor's kid that claims that Heaven is for real? Does it not seem pretty convenient? Hell, kids will tell and make up anything if you get them going. "Did you see a monster, buddy? Oh, you DID? Did he have big teeth and claws? Oh, he DID!". Ask the right questions and you get the answers that you want. This is also how people get wrongly accused of crimes!

    Transformers: Age of Extinction

That's what I've been telling folks too, that Bay's movies in general are just horribly overlong and that he's badly in need of an editor that isn't a) himself or B)/> a total yes man. His movies generally take half the film to get to their second acts, and the storytelling is a mess. For instance, in "The Rock", it takes half the movie to get to Alcatraz because there's like 15 minutes devoted to the subplot with Connery's daughter before that, and then when they DO get there, the entire SEAL team is slaughtered right away. "Armageddon" was similar, and while the training sequences were the best part of the film, we're getting to know quite a few folks that will ALSO be dead or completely unimportant when they get to space. The whole Russian space station scene is the sequence that could have been cut in this one. Oh, and I also caught the scene in Age of Extinction where Prime basically says "I know I said I'd never kill a human, but y'all, when I find out who did this, I'm gonna get fuckin' murderous". Again, something I don't really remember from growing up on Transformers as a kid...
