    EPISODE 119.5 - MINISODE 119.5

The French call it Come At Me Breaux. Based on what I learned from a documentary series on network newsmen of the 1970s, Axe was at one time also marketed as something called "Sex Panther".

    EPISODE 119.5 - MINISODE 119.5

To the best of my knowledge, Axe body spray smells like someone that hasn't bathed in about 48 hours that then worked two full days and just rolled out of bed about two minutes ago. Apparently, I met those exact conditions one day when my roommate woke me up after her car wouldn't start and she needed a ride to work. As she was walking behind me as I stumbled down the stairs of our building, she asked "Are you wearing Axe body spray?

What film got you into the FORUM?

As I mentioned in the other thread, "Punisher: War Zone" introduced me to the podcast, but I don't think it was until I was all caught up and had been with it for a little bit that I started commenting, and that MIGHT have been around the time of "Abduction". I had a lot to say about that one, because I actually worked on it several times when it was filming in Pittsburgh.

What film got you into the FORUM?

"LOL" is still like the longest thread for the most obscure movie. If it wasn't for the timing of things, I still probably wouldn't even know what it was, and I'd be better for it...in some ways. #ShitDicks4Ever

What film got you into the FORUM?

If the whole gang was talking about it, it would almost certainly have to be a regular ep.

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

I would gladly trade in most of my "Likes" (except the one I got from PFT, because fuck y'all) to get the gang to finally face what I'm sure is their greatest fear: "Southland Tales". That might make for a fine final episode, as not all of them are guaranteed to survive the experience.

What film got you into the FORUM?

I think it may have been "Hudson Hawk"?

    Cursed (2005)

Fortunately for Craven, he didn't have to wear the stink of this one for too long, as "Red Eye" came out later in the year and was pretty well-received, as well as something a bit different from what he'd been doing.

Road House 2: Last Call (2006)

I remember him as the killer in the "Prom Night" remake, and I know MUST have seen him in other stuff, but he was never really a thing.

Or that King was coked out of his mind!

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

I was waiting for Green Goblin truck's previously unseen servant Bernard to pop in sometime in the third act to reveal to the Green Goblin truck that Emilio DID NOT kill the Green Goblin truck's father, that he did that horrible stuff to himself, and that Emilio isn't the menace that he believed him to be. Green Goblin truck would then totally go to town on a piece of pie...

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

I live in Evans City, PA, ground zero of the zombie universe, and I've heard alllllllllll the stories about that movie between every horror documentary, zombie documentary, and DVD commentary. Even if THIS guy was sitting right next to me telling me about the making of that film as I watched it, I just might scream in his face. On this particular evening though, he may have been talking about "Creepshow"...

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

"Cars" is far more terrifying. Those fuckin' eyes, man...

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

It doesn't surprise me at all that possibly the most memorable visual associated with the film was a complete accident.

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

Ironically, no. They're like the guys that got killed before even getting off the boat in "Private Ryan".

They survived and they're still survivors.

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

From what I understand though, Japanese Netflix has some slight differences from the U.S. version. For example, you've got your usual categories, like "Recently Watched", Drama", and "Romance", but then it also has twenty-seven categories devoted to tentacle porn, and that's in addition to the standards, like "Top Tentacle Porn Picks For You", "Watch This Tentacle Porn Again", "Tentacle Porn Documentaries", and "Children & Family Tentacle Porn".

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

Over the years, I think there have been MANY Stephen King adaptations that can be accurately described as "Rivers of Shit", so even if his characters aren't LITERALLY swimming through a sewer, it can still be applied metaphorically.

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

I really didn't understand all the stuff about intergalactic trade federations in the opening crawl...

EPISODE 119 - Maximum Overdrive: LIVE!

Jason's version of "Best Around" needs dubbed into "Karate Kid" NOW, jerks!

    EPISODE 118.5 - MINISODE 118.5

Poochie died on the way back to his home planet and was never mentioned again...

    EPISODE 118.5 - MINISODE 118.5

There's a movie review podcast that I listen to called "Now Playing" that's about two years into their on-and-off Stephen King retrospective series, where they're covering all of the films/series in the order that the source material was published or filmed, if it originated as a film. Anyway, they covered "Trucks" when they did "Maximum Overdrive", and it turns out that it originally aired on USA as a TV movie/potential pilot for a TV series, and if there were any particularly gory shots or anything, they were added to the home video cut. I can't remember if this came before or after their "Children of the Corn" series, but they reviewed like all 9 of those in a row, and it damn near broke them.

    The Boy Next Door (2015)

She had a good couple of years in there between "Selena", "U-Turn", and "Out of Sight", and then it sort of went to shit around time that she decided to concentrate on music more. Ugh.
