Episode 10 — Matthew Weiner
Foltaire replied to admin's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
I can't wait to hear Weiner Wiener talk about one of my favourite shows, Harry's World: Mad Men. -
"Crazy shit that happened in old adventures" segment name

TOO MUCH AQUATIC ACTION: NO TIME FOR MEMORIES! -
Funny, I was just thinking that Will was probably due a CBB appearance (given the link with Funny or Die). I wonder if Scott'll put together an Anchorman II episode - with Ferrell, Carell, Koechner and Rudd. Also, I'd kill for an On Cinema episode with Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington (six bags of popcorn).

Wicked admiring those narrative arcs of yours, fella. So I'm seconding that suggestion. Maybe you could do a fantasy equivalent of Mike Detective. I love Nerd Poker, but it could be equally fun to hear you spin a yarn without those pesky dice.

'And it's only when she gets fairly close to you that you notice the horse she's riding is levitating slightly above the ground... And is being ridden by a bear.'

An idea. An idea that I think is great.

Get Merrill Shindler involved! A buttery, juicy, creamy new direction for Analyse Phish! -
For some reason, I imagine MM as the comedy-podcast equivalent of a warped painting in Scott's attic. But, instead of accreted Wildean ugliness and immorality, it's just all of Aukerman's suppressed grumpiness and sobriety which accumulates on my mental picture of Mark. In that sense, I really value him: as a kind of exhaust, preserving the Choctaw's funpurity. I'm pretty sure my characterisation is completely unfair. Perhaps this b-b-b-bonus episode will make that clear.

'She's a bird,' she said!

I abso lutely agree - it's the best thing since Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
-
Chris Kuroda is totally the fifth member of Phish! Those fucking lights, man.
-
Man, you guys are crazy talented. I hope some of this art ends up on the NP merch, if we ever get any.
-
Shows like these are normally ruined for me by a single participant I can't stand, but I can honestly say I think all the players on NP are hilarious and likeable. It's an anomaly.

I would buy an Earwolf video game. What do you think some of the levels would be?

I spent several hours conceptualising, and several days producing, this picture. -
So now I say "mah wife!" as a goddamn Pavlovian response.

MMMMMMMMMMHHAAAAAI WHHHAAAAAIIFFFEEEE! -
The image of Walter Waterman creeping (leaking?) up behind the guys in the armoury and helpfully whispering 'it cumulates' absolutely slaughtered me. I can't wait for soom Nerd Poker loot to surface on the Earwolf store (here's hoping).

Going to sit tight until the video drops. I jash gotta see it.

After this episode, I can safely say Nerd Poker is among my favourite podcasts, even though you've only released fourteen so far. You just ascended from 'improves my week' tier to the rarefied heights of the 'I'll cry and shit furiously if you stop' echelon. RIP, Karn. A martyr to quality audio entertainment.

Episode 202 — Philip Traumatic Seymour Disorder
Foltaire replied to admin's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Stinkers! I didn't realise that someone had already voiced this sentiment, nor did I notice Scott's comment. Now I look like an idea thief and a suck-up! -
Episode 202 — Philip Traumatic Seymour Disorder

This episode would've been great anyway, but Scott made it hecking transcendent by playing that warped version of himself. Aukerman does such a great job of accommodating other comedians, I sometimes forget how hilarious he is. It's unlikely, but I'd love to see him feign sickness (PFT could fulfil 'guest host' duties) and do an episode fully in character. -
I can't believe how good the guests have been this year. Absolutely killing it in 2013, CBB.
-
It really was. Seeing him corpse after 'Let me tell you, I'm so old even the dinosaurs remember my name, HA HA!' absolutely killed me.
-
I wanted Heidecker on video, you delivered before I even asked. That's service.

Episode 1 - Larry David
Foltaire replied to Julia's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
I'm so glad this is happening. Jeff's been a permanent fixture on my 'celebrities I'd like to hang out with' list for some time now. Excited to see who appears on future episodes. -
Smart move, IFC!
