  1. welcome back to season ten of wheelchair girl, and despite widespread criticism which is just a natural

part of the show's enormous success, we just keep chugging along with the same indomitable spirit that made everyone fall in love with the show in the first place. There is some concern that the characters do not actually care about the people they are dating, and are callous towards their break ups, and give off a general sense of

loose moral beliefs. Kramer is still everyone's favouououououourite character on the show who seems to be able to turn any word into america's favourite catchphrase and in this scenario the n-word is transformed into a meaningless gesture of absurdity and Kramer is widely regarded as the father of new conventional oral traditions in a new global community.

Have I had a stroke, or am I actually reading this?

  2. Lately however, I've been having to skip through or just not listen to more and more episodes, as Scott's really getting annoying. Stuff like the singing and lame wordplay is self-indulgent and and as Marc Maron put it so well, "precious." It's like hanging with a bunch of theater kids who can do nothing but reiterate the same tired inside jokes over and over again. I can't even listen to the ads anymore as they've gotten so drawn-out and grating that I'd rather miss a few minutes of content than suffer through having Scott do stuff like repeatedly and annoyingly yell "TING!" in my ear for 90 seconds. I wish more guests would tone Scott down a bit. Like in this episode, when Scott kept trying to force the bit about verbalizing every "period" and Ben responded with "This is so stupid." I practically cheered.

That's odd, I was just coming here to mention how great Scott's been recently. He's always been a good host, but now almost every episode guarantees as much hilarity as a top-tier guest (PFT, Heidecker, Daly, etc.) spot used to. I'd be gutted if Aukerman decided to take a dry, shrunken (poison ivy) leaf out of Maron's book.

I just wish he'd do more in-character appearances on other shows. His Ben Franklin on The Dead Author's Podcast had me in tears.

  4. Unfortunately, I was on a long bus journey home (from the hospital) today and my iPhone died.

Fortunately, I searched my backpack and found the iPod Shuffle I used to listen to while running - with some battery life left!

Unfortunately, I've since given up running and ballooned horrendously.

Fortunately, this episode was on that iPod Shuffle!

Unfortunately, I'd forgotten that Dave Foley doesn't turn up, which was pretty disappointing.

Fortunately, the episode is still enjoyable and I watched a load of Kids in the Hall when I got home.

  5. Just about to start listening. My perfectly reasonable expectations for this episode -

    1) Vin Diesel is going to turn up, assuming the role of 'pussy-face gas-planet inhabitant #6' (no lines)

    2) Stargoyle will be shoved into a small, inescapable box by Amarth. Contained, it'll then be thrown down into the hellish bowels of the gas planet. Brian will immediately level-up for doing the universe a great service.

    3) Tras, having unexpectedly made it out of the collector base alive, will return to the adventure, pulling himself - commando style - arm over arm onto one of the floating habitations. Brief awkwardness ensues, but he asserts himself as undisputed leader of the group shortly thereafter. They spend the rest of the episode building a monument to Carn.

I can't wait to hear how much I got right!
