I was actually kind of shocked that everyone seemed to forget that the follow-up to Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em was Too Legit to Quit (pretty damn big), not the Funky Headhunter. And PHDH was his second album. I forget the name of the first one but it had a moderate hit with "Let's Get It Started" (the original!)

Don't really care about this topic, but yet another classic example of Andrew Ti's ... interesting ... views on music. 1) Rock is only for white people. 2) The blues is wack. 3) "That album's gotta be 30 years old, so why listen to it any way?" Because, of course, you should only listen to something within a few years of its release.

Episode 108 β Running Through Marriages In Thailand
DanielSwinney replied to admin's topic in Yo, Is This Racist?
I don't think it's necessarily about fetishizing the race as much as it is, "I have a bunch of money, am white and older and have no game and there is a part of the world where I don't need game and by being white and having money I can be with attractive, younger women." That's not fetishizing a race, that's just sizing up an opportunity. edit: In other words, it's not necessarily that they are fetishizers in this scenario, but taking advantage of a part of the world in which they are the fetishizees. -
For what it's worth, it's Soddy Daisy.

When I see a thread with this number of responses, I usually figure it starts with some negativity, then some "yeah really" agreement negativity, then one or two people being like "Whoa hold on" and then more people being like, "Yeah come on!"

Nah, I mean, the guy's at least talking to Howard and Kulap so there's plenty of them if you don't end up liking the guy. Oh and Kulap looks great in the group photo, so whatever that X-fit is doing is pretty good.

Episode 202 β Philip Traumatic Seymour Disorder
DanielSwinney replied to admin's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Haha I think my girlfriend really hates this one. -
Hopefully serious.
-
Isn't it also open-minded to be open to the possibility of not liking an episode of a show that one almost always likes?
-
So what Kulap is into is Zom-Rom-Com-bos.

I haven't seen it, but the description you just gave does not necessarily scream "bad movie" to me.

Maybe there should be like an Earwolf Farm Club podcast. Kind of like the Challenge minus the competition aspect. Or like this show without the tie to a movie.
-
Hey, it just hit me... Everyone's making Catfish references in this post-Manti-Teo world, so... Analyze Catfish.
-
Is it "end scene" or "and scene"?

A Fish Called Wanda Also, Shelby must have slept through Empire Strikes Back if she thinks Darth Vader never said "I am your father."

Probably the two worst guests I've heard on any earwolf show. It's like they came in with this idea to do an over-the-top shtick that is already the de facto shtick of the show, just done really loudly for no reason.

His seagulls story is an artful humblebrag epic.

I like how Nocando is the least everything-is-racist guest there's been, and maybe the only black guest I can recall.

Koko B. Ware's inspiration was Morris Day.

That movie has the #1 most anti-climactic protagonist death in history.

That's pretty much what I assume it is. Although I guess there's another form that you find in lower-income working class areas where tribal mentality takes over and people band together to eliminate any sort of financial competition to keep themselves from starving. (E.g. "They took our jerbs.")

I'm a little late to the party but this was the best Ween song in years. Also, try to get Fiona Apple as a guest. She's a friend of comedy, or at least of Paul F. Tompkins.

Fucking awesome. That was my call, and as a Shots Fired superfan, an ideal set of guests to comment on it, and the discussion was really interesting. PS I don't always talk like that, just figured I'd illustrate. Thanks!
