First and foremost, I don't work for Earwolf, so none of my statements should be construed as such, and none of the things you attribute to "me" apply. Second, given the monumental effort involved in migrating their entire audio catalog from LibSyn to SoundCloud, Earwolf no doubt had compelling reasons for doing so (be it cost savings, technological capability, integration with their home-grown ad network, etc.) and did not proceed lightly. Third, given your sample size of (what, three?) people in this thread, compared to the hundreds of thousands of subscribers Earwolf shows boast, I'd wager you are grossly overestimating the percentage of listeners affected by the switchover to SoundCloud. Fourth, even for the tiny fraction of affected users, there are a variety of means available to those who are (again) actively seeking to violate their companies' IT policies. Download a podcast app to your phone. Subscribe via iTunes and sync before heading to work. Stream over your 3G/4G connection. Set up a VPN and tunnel your browser connection through it. Whatever. None of the above warrant showing up in the forums to puke a snide, self-entitled demand for ANSWERS at the people kind enough to provide you with hundreds of hours of free entertainment every year.

Shariq and Gabe may be able to resolve this problem if they know what browser/operating system you are using.

That was a really good transition.

It's now Earwolf's responsibility to figure out a way to circumvent your employer's explicit desire that you not listen to podcasts during the hours they pay you to perform work? Really?

Are you by any chance familiar with the work of Jerry Haleva? -
Teach a man to fish, feed him for a day. Surgically graft fishing poles to his arms, create an arch-enemy for a lifetime!

This would have been better than the actual ending of Unbreakable. A+ -

"One Week" is so awful it makes "Flagpole Sitta" seem like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in comparison.

I would happily listen to a podcast where these gentlemen shot the shit once a week, perhaps over some sort of light meal. Potential titles: Dining with Scott and Maron Marc & Scott Eat Snacks Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Y'know what, nevermind.

Episode 61 — Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot
DanEngler replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE. Had any of you bothered spending even 15 minutes playing the original Stop or My Mom Will Shoot game for the SNES before watching this movie, all of the questions you had about the backstory would have been answered.- 123 replies

Yyyyeah. While I have no insider knowledge of the situation, I could guess at a few reasons why this episode is now entitled "Double Standards In Comedy" rather than "Kroll Show"…

Improv for Humans promoted on bizarre anti-semitic website
DanEngler replied to bummer dude's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
The site in question republishes content from other sites (in this case, an entire Huffington Post article) without permission, in order to attract errant Google searches, with the ultimate goal of inflating their ad views and their Google PageRank. This is only marginally better than the antisemitic garbage they also happen to peddle. Rather than playing into their hands by giving them more traffic, I've removed the link from your post. -
THE WOLF HANGING ON BUT PROGNOSIS NOT GOOD.

No, he is not. I think he does get a little extreme on matters of racial politics, and have disagreed with him many times. But it sucks that we can't have discussions about race without this kind of "reverse racism" bullshit. The kernel of many of Shariq's arguments is "[described behavior] is the product of America's institutionalized marginalization of minority voices." The fact that people keep showing up here week after week to post (in short) "This is stupid/wrong, why is it even being discussed?" simply lends further credence to Shariq's argument. It'd be great if all of the regular participants in the forum could lay off the ad hominem attacks and straight-up trolling but, barring that, at least stop reporting each other to the moderators so often. You goddamned babies.

Jeff Ullrich appeared on the paidContent Podcast a few weeks ago, during which he explained the strict vetting process that companies must undergo before their wares can be advertised on Earwolf. The most important point is that hosts maintain veto power over the sponsors that appear on their shows, explaining why the head shop ads appear on Improv4Humans and Who Charted? — Besser and Howard have been pretty forthcoming about their cannabis usage in the past — but not on Comedy Bang Bang. At the same time, Jeff also noted that Earwolf had never advertised sex toys or other shady products, seemingly as a point of pride. Yet here we are two weeks later with ads for drug paraphernalia across multiple shows. I'm less concerned about the content of the ads than I am curious about the apparent contradiction. But only mildly curious at that.

Scott has transcended "Yes, And" to become the bona fide master of "No, Really, I Insist" improv. If you see a fellow improviser painting themselves into a corner, press them on it and try to stifle your laughter as they squirm. The Choctaw is truly a mad genius.
