  2. JEFFREYPARTIES hasn't been banned. The only reason he is unable to log in is because he's forgotten how. It's very sad. Nevertheless, he contacted me via Twitter and we'll hopefully have him back with his caregivers soon.

P.S. Fatty2Dicks isn't JEFFREYPARTIES. Fatty2Dicks is Kevin O'Brien. And both of them can kick rocks.

  3. Hi Paul! (Or maybe not)

My fiancé is a loooooong time fan and I was wondering if, should you happen to feel like coming to Boston in September 2018 (hotel and airfare included oooh), you would consider being the officiant at our wedding. It's at a curling club, so clearly we have only the finest taste.

Sorry for the off topic question, please continue being amazing.

Mr. Tompkins hasn't visited the forums in a while but, when he was previously asked about officiating a wedding for fans, he replied:

I'm flattered that you would ask, but this is not the sort of thing that I do for strangers. I wish you and your bride-to-be all the best!

  4. Everyone's talking about if 9's gonna be in space, and I'm personally just holding out for a time travel movie to shake things up

    EXT. TROPICAL JUNGLE - NIGHT

The camera pans across a lush mountainous landscape, dotted with palm trees and lit only by a full moon. Without warning, a cataclysmic fireball erupts in the distance, shaking the trees and sending what appear to be giant birds scattering from their nests.

The sound of the explosion fades into the roar of an overpowered engine as the camera swings around to a sports car tearing its way down a dirt path through the jungle. It screeches to a halt and DOMINIC "DOM" TORRETO throws open the passenger door.

    DOM

    Get in!

    Title card: THIS SUMMER

The tires on Dom's car spin momentarily before finding traction and the car peels off. Half a beat later, a pair of enormous scaly legs crash into the frame. The camera pulls out to reveal a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which emits a bellowing roar and then continues its pursuit through the iconic gates of the Jurassic World theme park.

    Title card: JURASSIC AND FURIOUS

  5. MapleLakelander - do you know where this is? I thought it was interesting that they seemed to be eating NY-style pizza instead of Chicago deep dish. It might be across the street from Luigi's?

First off, fuck deep dish pizza. Bert>

I'm originally from the Chicagoland area and I don't know anyone who eats it. I've had it exactly once in my life. Much more popular is the Chicago thin/cracker crust, which has a sweeter, spicier sauce and is cut into squares. I grew up on Palermo's (when in the city) and Aurelio's (with branches both in the Chicago suburbs and southwest Florida, where we eventually relocated.)

  6. ATTN shannon, dengler, brent morris, jeff ulrich, any of the earwofl people: thanks for moving shows to a different network, but it seems like they all come after hollywood handbook alphabetically. so if you could move beautiful storys, black list table, the cannon, crack podcast, denzel washigton etc, earwolf present (probably have to rename this one), face the nation, get upon this, hard nation, and hello magic tavern to the not-comedy network too that would be good so i dont have to scroll so much in the forums. tyvm

Look, I'm not authorized to share this information, but turmoil in the podcast community has forced my hand.

You know as well as I do that Hayes and Sean have a history of lining up their next project before abruptly ending a show. The Mikal Cronin episode was supposed to be the last Hollywood Handbook, but

have been dragging their feet on finalizing contracts, so your beloved hosts have been forced to delay their plans for another few weeks.

All I can tell you about the successor to Hollywood Handbook is that it will steamroll every other "cult hit" podcast, and I think you'll be pretty happy about its alphabetical placement…

  7. Episode was ok, Madeline Walter was pretty funny, I'm not familiar with her otherwise.

She co-hosts a podcast called Definitely Dying about illness and hypochondria that's worth checking out. They've had lots of CBB favorites (Will Hines, Betsy Sodaro, Pam Murphy, Mike Hanford, Nick Wiger, Paul Rust, etc.) as guests.

  8. Saisons are so good though! Can't go wrong with a Belgian beer, imo.

I was big into Belgians a decade ago but now their banana-y undertones make me gag for some reason.

512 Pecan Porter, on the other hand, has been on my list for a long time and I haven't found a local source (although I admittedly haven't tried very hard.)

  9. We'll see how carefully Dan and Shannon are reading these threads to see whether my brand is worth saving...

I cannot in good conscience strip a username from someone who joined in 2012. Even if they only posted once and haven't been back since.

  10. Just read about this.

    http://www.foodandwi...rl-scout-cookie

    Seems relevant to everyone's interest.

One of my favorite beers in the world (produced at a brewpub near my home) is called "The Big Lebrewski", a Russian Imperial Stout aged in Kahlua-soaked barrels. One year, as a Valentine's Day special, they added a bunch of Junior Mints to a cask. The combination of beer+mint was vile, and that cask sat untouched on the bar for months until they probably dumped it down a storm drain under cover of darkness.

Anyway, both Thin Mints and Samoas are great.

  11. Yeeeah, I spoiler-tagged your GIF of a dude getting his head blown off because it's graphic and could be disturbing to some.

As long as I'm here, Paul recently appeared on a new-ish podcast called Good One (iTunes, RSS), where comedians talk about the creation of a single joke. He covers the history of Human Giant and NTSF:SD:SUV, ranks the Fast & Furious movies, and talks about why live HDTGM shows are the most fun. (Deal with it, live episode haters! B) )

There are good episodes from Tig Notaro, Kristen Schaal, and Neal Brennan too.
