I think this movie's been mentioned a couple times in other threads, but it deserves a thread of it's own. An evil Colonel recruits mercenaries teams for hire, and trains them by making them kidnap random dudes, let them loose in the forest, and hunt them down and kill them. During one of their routine kidnappings they randomly pick out Mike Danton. They take Mike's shirt and shoes (and apparently oil him up by the looks of it) before setting him free, but much to their chagrin they find out that Mike Danton is an unstoppable killing machine! I don't know if HDTGM would every do this obscure 80's movie, but I recommend checking it out if you terrible 80's action movies.

Does anybody else remember The Barbarian Brothers? Two muscle-bound mullet sporting twin brothers who made a handful of films in the late 80's/early 90's? Any one of their films would be ripe for HDTGM, I just happened to watch Double Trouble recently after the memory of it randomly popped into my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INlEtRPwWCU The cop brother is running around in a bare midriff Raider's sweater for the majority of the movie. Favorite scene: Cop twin is strenuously benchpressing and loudly grunting with each rep as his sexy lady neighbor listens through the wall as if it's the sexiest things she's ever heard.

The thing about this movie is that it's self-aware though. It's an action comedy, not an action movie taking itself seriously. I don't know if they could rip this apart for succeeding in being intentionally ridiculous.

I showed this movie to my 10yr old brother this past Halloween and he enjoyed it and I still enjoyed it too. It's great, I have a soft spot in my heart for anything with those oldschool creature effects.

Oh man, Home Movies is one of my favorite shows of all time, and to hear Brendon Small on my favorite podcast basically doing the Ken Adelberg voice from that show made me SO happy, haha. That was amazing. Brendon Small has to become a regular.

Haven't watched Olympus Has Fallen yet (if I ever will), but I watched White House Down last night, and for what it was it was fine, I liked that the bad guys were mostly racist American white guys, haha, instead of scary foreigners. Annnnd I also like that Garcelle Beauvais was the 1st lady, allowing me to fantasize that the movie was a continuation of The Jamie Foxx Show. There was a lot of illogical shit going on, but like... kinda the type of stuff you'd expect out of these types of movies.

That reminds me, I'm sure it's already been mentioned in this or any of the other Miami Connection threads that have popped up, but in case it hasn't, the picture of the dad that Jim shows before his speech, and the guy who shows up at the end are NOT THE SAME PERSON. How hard would it have been to take a picture of the actual actor playing the dad to use for that scene?
