With all apologies to Elizabeth Laime, it's better than the Oprah game.

First off, succeed or fail, I'm always glad to hear Earwolf trying new things. However, I'm going to reserve judgment on this one until I hear a few more episodes. Sean Tillman/Har Mar Superstar clearly seems to have a friendship with Macauley Culkin, and it shows. They riff off of each other well and it's very conversational. This episode kind of seems like it loses track of the fact that it's a podcast a bit because it seems a little inside and Tillman and Culkin talk over each other. A lot. Also, Culkin's rapid fire stream of consciousness is, for lack of a better word, exhausting. I'd like to see how this works with another guest. As for the title of the show, nocturnal emotions? Eesh. I get that it sort of fits with the double entendres of the Har Mar Superstar songs, but it's one of those instances of word play that just made me roll my eyes.

What Horror Movies Should The Gang Do In October?
MotorboatJones replied to Doombot8336684's topic in How Did This Get Made?
How about Halloween III: Season of the Witch? In this installment of the franchise, the producers abandoned the Michael Myers killer plot from the first two films and decided to do something completely unrelated. Instead, this movie centers around an evil toy company that makes masks that turns kids' heads into bugs and snakes or something when a visual clue is played. Bad plot, lame characters, and worst of all it's just more gross than scary. -
I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to new episodes. I was surprised that GLP sounds so much like a professional, broadcast school-trained, interviewer.

Episode 42 — Quadruple Mix-in
MotorboatJones replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I was listening on the subway, and using every bit of restraint not to laugh out loud. -
Haven't had a chance to listen yet, but I really hope the Trish silliness stuck.

I think this is my favorite episode of the year so far.

Don't forget Jennifer Coolidge.

Wop on the Geep! I never knew the real words to that part on the song when I was a kid.

I paid to see this in the theater when it came out. Sad.

Dipped in Eros seems kinda gross.

Very enjoyable episode -- much more enjoyable than the joyless movie. I wish Smith hadn't stopped before talking about being in Southland Tales with Bai Ling.

Just watched this. The general concept might have worked if there was an overarching sense of fun, so you could just roll with the bad science and ridiculous plot points. Buddy chemistry between Will Smith and Kevin Kline would have helped as well. The problem is that, despite how hard they seemed to try, the movie is completely devoid of fun. This isn't an unintentionally fun bad movie like the Room or Birdemic. It's just a bad movie. I suppose it gets points for the odd use of Bai Ling.

As a side note, there was a pilot for an American version of the IT Crowd. Like the American Office pilot, they used the script from the British pilot. It starred Joel McHale, Jessica St. Clair and Richard Ayoade reprising his role from the British version. The pilot is floating around online. As much as l like the people involved, it all came off kind of strange.

Who? I'm not familiar.

I love the Kulap and Howard chemistry, and for me, that's what makes Charted work. Many weeks, I prefer the two charted to the who charted ep. This week is not one of those weeks. Kroll was great and totally fit into the show's vibe. I guess I could be wrong, but only if this week's two charted ends up being insanely epic.

I was impressed that Peter had no problem getting cell phone reception in the sewer.

Removed. Durn.

Howard, if you don't put your phone in airplane mode while flying, you'll run down the battery faster because the phone will constantly be in roaming mode looking for a signal. I think.

Harris, when you get up to leave it isn't "standup, slam, creak"

I thought it was a really good one. Amy Phillips was great as Gwyneth. Andy Kindler was a great co-host. I even liked his attempts at jokes that didn't make any sense (e.g. Eye of the Needle is the next Sylvester Stallone movie)

It's probably a little late to be posting this, but for anyone who is in NYC, James Adomian will be performing tonight in Conspiracy Theory Live with Jesse Ventura at the UCB Theatre East. http://east.ucbtheatre.com/performances/view/23498

How did this get made fanart!
MotorboatJones replied to whysoawesome's topic in How Did This Get Made?
It's a cool piece, but how is it a tribute to How Did This Get Made? None of the movies featured have ever been covered by the show and many are actually really good movies. -
The First Annual HDTGM Awards
MotorboatJones replied to JacobCrites's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Most Mis-Cast Actor (for instance, Gary Oldman in Tiptoes) Biggest WTF? moment Biggest Plot Hole (Speed 2 seemed to have a ton of them) Worst Superhero movie (Catwoman, Green Lantern) Worst Slumming Actor - Worst case of a great actor taking a shitty role in a shitty movie for $$, vanity, etc. -
I'm surprised it's taken this long to get to Sylvester Stallone. They're just scratching the surface (Rhinestone, Over the Top, Oscar, Stop or My Mom Will Shoot).
