The most crazy pants part is the idea that three race cars, with very distinct colours, can zoom through heavy traffic and somehow no one was able to see that there were three cars, rather than two, which is the central point of the film, since the so-called protagonist has to prove the existence of the third car. This, of course, has no bearing on his guilt in causing his friend's death, since by participating in the race, he's just as guilty as the other guy. For some reason he gets a slap on the wrist compared to what the other guy is facing. As to Dakota, is she playing a Brit? I don't recall that. Imogen Poots, who is British (she's from London), plays a British character with her real accent. Dakota played the girlfriend who reveals where the car is hidden, but I don't think she's supposed to be British.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Well, sure, and that one time Arcee gave Daniel and handjob (ironically during the Headmasters series) -- But that's it. -

What I think he was going for was if they started having sex with she was 16 and he was 19 (underage, but close in age exemption) and he turned 20 before she turned 17. That would be covered in the pre-existing sexual relationship thing he's talking about, whereas if they just started boning when he was 20 and she was 16, he'd be in trouble. But what any of this has to do with cars that turn into robots is beyond me. There was almost no statutory rape in the original cartoons. -
Transformers: Age of Extinction

The age of consent in Texas is 17. The character is 17. She's not underage. So any discussion of Romeo&Juliet clauses (if they exist) are moot, laminated or otherwise. There's also a close in age exemption (3 years), if she's underage, but over 14, which isn't relevant since she's 17. So, they could have cut that entire subplot, since it's inaccurate. -
Oh, well sure -- Dog throw: Perfectly normal.

This film is completely bonkers. What's really weird is the number of name actors that were in it. If they even had a script, it's doubtful any of them read it before agreeing to be in this film. It's like they just filmed a bunch of nonsense and just hoped to edit it together into something later. Selena Gomez, Elisabeth Shue, Heather Graham, Mary-Louise Parker, Cary Elwes, Ashley Rickards, Patrick Warburton, Jason Lee, Dylan McDermott and Gary Busey were all in this film. There's a running gag where latin teachers keep dying just so they can make the gag that it's a dead language.

"You know what? I'll be in your crappy movie. Heck, I'll do the scene where I'm washing a huge dildo with the rest of the dishes. Just as long as I don't have to try to kill the president, I'm fine with it." - Dylan McDermott, probably. #citationneeded

More like, "Lucas just wanted to make Flash Gordon movies, but we wouldn't sell him the property, so he made Star Wars. Well, if that was a success, then the stuff he wanted to make originally probably would've been even more successful. If we make them now, we'll be printing money."

The idea of butter sculpture seems odd, even though it's apparently a real thing, but the movie is quite good. It's a well crafted story about a number of eccentric characters doing a number of interesting, if odd sometimes, things.

Episode 87 — Easy Rider 2: The Ride Back
wyldride replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
How did they resist having a Doctor named "Holiday" in this? I do wonder if the entire process for deciding to do this was, "Hey, Easy Rider had a character named Wyatt -- Just like Wyatt Earp. What if we made a sequel and made it about his brothers, Virgil and Morgan, who are also named after Earp brothers. Maybe they have a sister. I don't recall an Earp sister. Well, we'll just name her after some other western, like Shane or something." -
Of course, if you do accidentally let a lion into your home, there's a product to deal with that:

This is a good, funny film.

Can't think of a single reason why this would be appropriate for this podcast.
-
Oh, is that why? I thought it was because it was crap.

It's crazy the amount of stuff the cops let him and his buddies get away with. I'm not sure it's up to Cage's normal good bad standard, though. But it is hyper-violent, so it has that going for it.

Yeah, you know you're in for something when a film posits that it's easier to teach drillers to be astronauts than teach astronauts to drill, mostly based on the principal of, "Fuck you -- No it isn't!" But it's one of the most fun-stupid movies out there.

The Transformers: The Movie (1986)
wyldride replied to GiveMeYourBaby's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
"Hang on -- We're dying when we get shot now? When did that become a thing. Seriously, we've been shooting each other for years and we fall down and then pretty much get back up again. What's the point of being machines if we can't just be repaired?" - Hot Rod in a deleted scene, probably. -
Ken is probably still mad about the curse of Ham.

Tap pants: I'm pretty sure Joan is wearing tap pants in that scene. That's tap as in dancing, not tap as in that, if you're wondering where that name comes from. Depending on the outfit, she could be wearing them as shorts, underwear or PJs. -

Zeus is more like the villain's "dragon" than the primary villain. Basically he gets as much dialogue as Darth Maul in the Star Wars prequels does. and basically has the same role. -
