    Episode 75 — Daredevil

Why did he pull out his own tooth? Because he liked to feel it when it came out: #crashtestdummies
  3. I guess they used a spinning table ala What Are Little Girls Made Of to create a duplicate Fembot ala Bionic Woman, but it was more like the type from Austin Powers that doesn't turn against you until you think you're safely out of danger. Also, Number Six from Battlestar Galactica, something, something.

    Episode 73.5 — Minisode 73.5

Apparently there were plans for a Hallowe'en III as part of the remake series, although probably not a remake of this movie. http://telly.com/1BEC66U

    Episode 73.5 — Minisode 73.5

Season of the Witch wouldn't have seemed so weird if they'd stuck by their original plan to make an anthology series of movies. But once they changed their mind and brought Michael back for a second movie, they should've just stuck with that new plan. If they'd just released it separately, at least this movie would be judged on its content alone, and not the disappointment of it not featuring Michael.

    Electric Dreams (1984)

Awesome movie with an amazing soundtrack. Jeff Lynne, Phillip Oakey, Culture Club, Heaven 17 and ... The Duet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in_ZVmckrmU A preposterous premise, sure, but worth the end result.
  9. It might be amusing to, instead of focusing on a single movie, do a special episode on a franchise: Specifically any franchise which has more sequels than can be reasonably justified by the initial outing. For example, Bring It On could reasonably justify maybe one sequel, not four, especially since they are all just retellings of the same story with new casts. American Pie might have been justified doing a couple of sequels, but seven is too many. There are far too many Police Academy movies. In the Name of the King got sequels. Scorpion King has sequels. It's that sort of thing.

    Red Sonja (1985)

Sonja probably wouldn't have been up for it, since she seemed pretty prudish most of the time, but maybe while you're destroying her village and killing her family isn't necessarily the best time to put the moves on a girl -- As a rule.

The "radiation zones" were a lie. That's why he was fine when he flew into it. It was a trick to keep the clones from meeting each other.

    R.I.P.D. (2013)

Yet another Save the Cat inspired trojan horse story where the villain gets captured on purpose. Of course it's all predicated on the idea that somehow they knew that both halves of that sphere would be placed together so they could get together and activate. Also, wouldn't they save a lot of people time and effort if they just handcuffed suspect before chatting to them about Indian food (none of that makes any sense and they make no effort to explain it). The whole mythology seems made up on the fly and changes to suit the various scenes. Dumb with a capital Duh.
  19. I mean it in the good way, if that helps. Can you imagine actually pitching that idea to someone? "No, no, he's playing himself--A fictional version of himself--Getting caught up in a bank robbery. Oh, and near the end he breaks the fourth wall for a soliloquy. Right, and he keeps subverting their random demands for his own purpose." But, yeah, crazy awesome, not crazy bad.

    Oblivion

OK, so what is the point of having the clones think they are working on behalf of an Earth colony on Titan in the first place? What does that get the alien invaders, other than potentially disloyal clones when they find out the truth? Keep in mind, they apparently sent down a whole bunch of them originally to attack the Earth. So it's not like tricking them is the only way to make them work. The state of the world at the beginning of the movie makes no sense.
  23. OK, so maybe there are no skunks in Australia, but didn't he live in New York for awhile? It just seems like, at some point, skunks are gonna come up. I haven't seen this particular movie, so maybe the son had never seen a skunk, and that's why he thought it was a dog, and Mick was just holding the skunk while looking for the dog? No idea.
  24. I see you've played sequelly-spoony before!
