    Oh god, I can't remember who -- but someone on I think the HDTGM forum said they wanted Monster Mash played at their funeral and that idea cracked me up for days. Still does.

     

    "Daft Punk Played At My House" is great but his vocals have always mildly annoyed me because it sounds like he recorded it while he had a head cold. Great album.

     

    Is it me or are the intros/themes new stereo mixes this episode? I felt like the opening was a totally different mix, listening on headphones. I need to listen to some other eps but it definitely sounded like some pans were being moved.

     

     

    Could be this mysterious beans character?

    I made it stereo and higher quality than usual so that the Halloween song at the end didn't have to suffer too much. Wish I could do that to every ep, but I can't so enjoy while you can.

    I trust digital gas gauges, car GPS, cell phones, etc. I'm sure as hell not giving up driving to be taken on a theme park ride by a computerized car. I'd rather white knuckle and hydroplane all day than renounce my earned right to drive.

    To me this is just being a luddite. Self driving cars are going to save millions of lives and make cities so much better in so many ways. Driving ourselves will someday be viewed as an archaic, absurdly dangerous practice we did, like the era of cars without seatbelts and permitted drunk driving. Almost everything that goes into being a good driver is something that can be automated thousands of times better than us. After living in LA for a while, I can't wait to never drive again.

    i LOVE when it's just Howard and Brett. Don't get me wrong, I love Kulap and she's a big reason this is one of my top 5 podcasts, but Howard and Brett have a great chemistry and Howard talks about more stuff when Brett is around, it seems to me.

     

    I also appreciate that Howard understands that E-cigs haven't had long-term testing yet and probably aren't as okay for you as some may think. To call them "healthy" as Brett did is probably quite an overstatement.

     

    A+ episode.

    Is that what I said? Definitely an overstatement haha. Although I don't think they're anywhere near the same universe as how bad cigarettes are.
