Holy shit, I just looked at the wikipedia to get a refresher of what this movie was as I remember bits and pieces from when I was a kid, and I saw this thing was a HUGE FUCKING HIT at the box office, I mean this puts the financial success that Cobra was to shame. And reading up on this, I really don't know what could have garnered that kind of audience response, I mean were the leads really that hot in '93? Yeah Harrelson was coming off of White Men Can't Jump, but this movie was a completely different beast from what that was. Demi Moore was in A Few Good Men so it seems natural she would do well in another drama, but she wasn't the big pull for Men, and Redford was just in Sneakers, but his role in this was completely different than what people were used to seeing him as. I mean it is really mind-boggling how this movie did so well, but was almost completely panned by critics.

Well to be fair Last House was basically torture porn and I felt Rob Zombie did a good job of keeping Halloween close to its slasher roots.

I just wonder how the hell they are going to approach the ending, especially with the original twist being so well known.

I'm interested in hearing what the guys have to say about this movie because it's weird in that there isn't really any plot to this movie from what I can remember. I mean even Batman & Robin had some plot, though it was insane, Daredevil didn't really have no giant plan that he was trying to foil. The only real thing he tried to stop was Elektra's dad being killed and that was over 30 minutes into the movie. I did enjoy Colin Farrell and Michael Clark Duncan in their roles as they seemed to understand the movie that they were in and played it up a bit campy. Unfortunately the two leads were taking an intended campy film about a blind superhero too seriously where it seemed like the first couple Batman films.

Yeah I'm looking forward to this one. I'll be interested to see if Stallone can still write a decent action flick, especially one he's not starring in. As for his undercover files being in his basement the only thing I can think of is the sweet fucking memories bro and Statham wants to cherish that shit.

This won't get done as it's not really crazy except for the sex scene with a car and the bolo. I had high hopes for this one as I loved No Country For Old Men and this was a similar background involving the drug underworld, but it just fell flat for the most part. There were so many blank spots left to were you didn't know the motivations of some characters. What's great is I just looked at the Wiki page for this trying to understand some of those holes and here is what's written: While it's not the worst movie ever made, it surely isn't very good.

Episode 74 — Halloween III: Season of the Witch

If there ever was a book released that detailed the mindset/here's what we're gonna do plan from famous horror movies or actions movies, I would buy that book in a second. -
This reminds me in the latest season of Robot Chicken, they did a parody of The Terminator where this vegan chick wished everyone would see it her way and go vegan. Someone comes from the future and says it happened but animals got super aware and started killing humans. He keeps telling her that in order to prevent that she needs to eat meat, but she refuses even as cows are shooting at her. So the guy calls a time out for the cows to stop shooting so he can break down why she's a vegan, and it's not because it's healthy or whatever, but rather she gets to be a part of a niche group and feel superior/special compared against others. She finally admits it and eats the burger but complains that she doesn't feel special anymore to which the guy tells her she'll find something soon, and cut to a title card saying that she binged watched all five seasons of "The Wire." Unfortunately, every time something makes it huge there are those neo-hipsters who claim that it's ruined now because it's popular. It happens a lot with the recent blast of Marvel movies, and even with director's like Joss Whedon, who was mainly a cult guy before Avengers raked in a billion dollars. You can expect more of the same next year if Guardians of the Galaxy makes it huge.

This would make for a fantastic episode as it is truly a WTF movie, which is saying something as the original is pretty insane as well. Starring a crapton of character actors and Robert Patrick who himself was one at that time, the story involves a gang of guys hoping to rob a Mexican bank after one of them breaks out of jail. Unfortunately that guy ends up at the Titty Twister, the strip club from the first film that is somehow rebuilt after being destroyed by George Clooney, and ends up being bitten and turning into a vampire. Soon more members of the gang are turned and their is a standoff at the bank. What's weird about this movie is that for some reason the vampires feel the need to still rob the bank and the reason that director felt to have numerous oddball shots, including a bite shot where we see inside the vampire's mouth as he bites into a neck. This would also be perfect just to hear Jason flip out trying to figure out why the robbery was still happening.

Episode 74 — Halloween III: Season of the Witch

I'm actually surprised that the studio went back to the well with Michael Myers even though this was financially successful. I would have been interested to see how each iteration would change to keep with the anthology theme. This is sort of how like in Toys, Zevo Toy co. was the biggest toy company in the world and everyone loved their shit even though they only made some novelty toys and toys that may have been popular in the 1950s. Also, one of my pet peeves is when adults use words like daddy or poppa to describe a parent, it just makes them sound spoiled/needy. I remember hearing Vincent Cassel in Eastern Promises calling the actor playing his father poppa all the time and it just irked the shit outta me. Though there are times when it works to make you really hate the character, like in the Carrie remake where the main bitchy girl whines to her dad about wanting to go to prom and keeps calling him daddy, showing her to be a spoiled whore and making you really want see her die. -
Yeah they got pretty campy in the last couple of films. Also remember the childless carnival in that movie that had Roseanne and Tom Arnold as crazy parents? What's even creepier is in the sequel comic series to Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, that daughter has developed an incestuous relationship with Freddy.

I'm watching a Chucky movie for violence and a killer doll, they could be farting from their mouths for all I care.

This movie was okay, but it's not as crazy as recent Stallone movies. Unfortunately, in a movie like this which has more of a plot than all out action, Sly and Arnold are not the best guys to be giving the audience the plot/story in dialogue. I did like that the Islamic gang leader in the prison wasn't the usual stereotype as with most characters in Stallone movies, and he was actually a likeable character and held his own with the top stars, and Jim Caviezel was pretty good as the menacing warden. I felt it was tricky marketing for this movie as the trailers showed this as an all out action movie starring two of the biggest action stars ever, but the real movie was more of a slower pace with bits of action scattered throughout.

This one wasn't as bad as Seed of Chucky, which just went for pure slapstick. I did like the post credit scene that tied it all up, though with horror franchises being the way that they are, they could find a way for another installment.

What was weird about this movie was how much it copied from Nightmare on Elm Street, especially as Craven was hoping this could become a franchise, to how certain movies copied from it. I mean the Denzel Washington movie Fallen is basically a non-tech ripoff of this movie. Also, I think it's safe to say that Peter Berg is better suited to directing rather than acting, when he talks he just sounds like he got hit in the head one too many times as a kid so he can't be taken seriously as a leading man.

If we are talking about director pet projects, the only one that really needs to be talked about is Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. That movie has been talked up so much in both articles and even Lost in La Mancha, that there is no way it could realistically compare if it ever gets made.

I remember hearing about that third remake, but Rob Zombie wasn't going to be a part of it since he felt there was absolutely zero places they could go from after how they ended the second movie.
-
Weren't they showing it on almost every TV as much as they were showing that bonkers mask commercial?
-
I think that may be to keep it a surprise.

Unfortunately I think it is Hollow Man as last I checked it had a decent lead over Troll and Friday the 13th, both of which are way better choices in my opinion.

The Legend of Hercules AKA Hercules: The Legend Begins (2014)

Yeah I think with whatever upgrade they did is still having some bugs. Also, have they permanently changed to Wednesday for new episodes or is it scheduling problems again like how it took almost a month for the Tiptoes episode to come out? -

Those 3-4 movies were it. Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2, and Long Kiss Goodnight were his peaks if you will, but everything in between and since Long Kiss have been valleys and all out landslides. Hell there could be 3-4 good HDTGM episodes based on his movies (Cutthroat Island, Deep Blue Sea, Driven, and Mindhunters). -

Honestly, with how it's been reported how this movie has been rushed through production, it seems they are going "The Asylum" route by having a movie with a similar character or story come out before a major blockbuster. In this case, this movie is trying to make money off the hype for the Rock's Hercules movie.
