The Jet Li movie co-starring Bridget Fonda would be good for the show in the "so-crazy it's great" category of movies. Jet Li gets set up for a crime in Paris by a cop whom he is introduced to while said cop is beating a man to death. The movie is notable in that the story was created by Li, but the movie was so violent that it was outright banned in his native China. It's also notable in that CGI and wire work were only used in three scenes and they were used only because Li and another actor were moving too fast for cameras to catch. The fight scenes in this movie are insane, from a 2-on-1 fight between Li and two giant twin kickboxers, to Li killing a man by kicking a pool ball at his head to the fact that Li fights people and kills the main antagonist using ACUPUNCTURE, this movie is perfect for the show.

I have a question about the movie, when they are playing the scene of hip hop music set to Snipes beating up the cops, at the end the last cop he beats up is moving very stiff and you can hear "zeet zeet" sounds when he moves. My question is, was that guy a robot and if he was where are the other ones?

Yeah the ending of this movie is a big WTF. I'm surprised this movie wasn't co-written by Kirk Cameron and considering that Perry thinks that this is his most powerful film proves that he has lost it.

The sharks look more realistic than her. And my potential sequel title is Snakequake.

SHHHH, don't say that because he would do that movie in a heartbeat. Also, does this mean that the lineup of the show is pushed back a week? Or will they have the Over The Top episode next week and keep the usual schedule like they did with the Badass episode leading into Godzilla the following week? And can we still have Scott come back to do Alex Cross, because that movie needs to be eviscerated along with Temptation which has a BATSHIT INSANE morality message. As far as The Asylum goes, from what I've seen and heard about that company is that their mockbusters are usually shit, but when they do an original movie, they are surprisingly good and get decent reviews.

Little Women meets Sharknado.

The only other crazy movie I would recommend for Ice-T outside of Tank Girl is a movie he did called Mean Guns. It stars him and Christopher Lambert where gangsters are locked in a prison and forced to kill each other, sort of like an adult Battle Royale, with the killings being done to a mambo soundtrack.

Radio (2003) - Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Ed Harris

Wasn't there video of the real Radio in the credits? I feel that was the studio trying to say "see, he's sort of like this in real life." -
For me it made sense to have the final twist be what it was if there had been more to it like the killer's mom was a hooker who abused him or something like that. The initial twist was great I felt as there was a bit of a set up if you paid attention and the kills were pretty interesting, especially Jake Busey's. What I'm wondering is if John Cusack's character was the version of the killer that wanted to reform himself from his previous misdeeds. Cusack even tells the doctor and lawyers when the twist is revealed that he used to be a cop in the LA Rampart division, which may be the most corrupt police squad in history, so maybe his actions at the hotel are the killer trying to make ammends, but Cusack didn't realize that enough to make sure that Amanda Peet was the last person standing.

This movie needs to be done on principle alone. -
Well apparently the "Bullock being Stallone's daughter" theory is a no go as after listening to the episode again and hearing where Snipes does his ching-chong bit, a second before that the PA in the museum goes on about how the great earthquake was in 2010, so Stallones daughter would have been at least 15 by the time his wife was killed in the quake. So if that's the case then it is one of a few possible options: 1. Bullock is not his daughter and Stallone just decides to live his life while his daughter lives her life not realizing her dad is walking around a free man ignoring her existence. 2. Bullock is his daughter and has a daddy fetish and wants to reverse Oldboy him. 3. Bullock spent time in cryo-prison for an unknown crime, hence her young appearance, and is Stallone's daughter but doesn't realize it. 4. Bullock has amnesia after the earthquake and doesn't know, and casting screwed up in making her look older. And amazingly, any of these options seem possible.

Like Stallone wasn't think this exact same thing when he made Judge Dredd.

This movie was weird as Carter stated he wanted to make a movie like the old standalone episodes of The X-Files that didn't involve a conspiracy or the larger arcs of the show, but then he makes this movie which is dull and not too supernatural. The creepiest thing about this movie is the pedo commune where the priest lives.

Holy shit I just thought of something that would be a crazier theory than Bullock being Sly's daughter. Now that the leader of San Angeles is dead and Spartan is basically the de facto leader of the city, people don't know how to handle their new society with the underground community joining them. Things seem to get stabilized at first with both groups finding a middle ground, but something like that doesn't last for long. Eventually war breaks out leading to a new nuclear arms race which culminates in most life on Earth being decimated and the remaining survivors creating giant Mega Cities to live in under the watchful eyes of Judges. The Chief Justices, needing the perfect Judges, create test tube clones using DNA of the best Judges they ever had, the original survivors, including John Spartan and Edgar Friendly. Judge Dredd gets the bulk of his identity from the law abiding, but deadly Spartan while Rico gets most of his from the revolutionary Friendly. The eventual happens where Rico goes crazy fighting against the law and is sent to Aspen, where because of a deal set up with corrupt Chief Judge Griffin, he gets a specialized cell rather than what is used for criminals of his caliber, the cryo-tubes which are kept cold using the natural environment of Aspen. Rico escapes and Judge Dredd the film plays out even including Rob Schnieder's distant offspring who took to a life of crime after his ancestor's didn't know how to handle a not so "joy-joy" life. So in the end, Dredd is a clone/relative of John Spartan, which explains why both movies are eerily similar to one another.

And can Rocky IV or V replace Above the Rim? Having neither of those as choices is a war crime. I've seen Demolition Man dozens of time, and never once considered that Bullock would have been his daughter, that shit is insane but so possible when you think about it. And the similarities between this and Judge Dredd are uncanny to where I begin to think Stallone just mad libbed Dredd's script.

Likewise, and I saw Movie 43 in theaters.

That's not surprising, a crapton of movies in the 90s got novelizations, it's still done a bit today with bigger movies.
-
It's been a while since I've seen this but doesn't Ray Liotta kill Lauren Holly's buddy by sucking the air out of her during a kiss/strangle?
-
Yeah the reason for that is apparently, William Fichtner's character is a Wendigo, or demon, according to Tonto. And Tonto is portraying a mannequin at the beginning of the movie i.e. Cigar Store Indian, so I am really wondering what Native American representative they had on set to help make the movie be non-offensive, so that person can lose their license like the psychiatrist who helped Charlize Theron train to be crazy for her role in Devil's Advocate.

But for most of the movie Ethan Hawke was very actively going after the homeless man in order to save his family. It wasn't until every single member of his family decided to be stupid and basically give the finger to the group outside that he stops and decides to defend himself. And this is also after he tortures the man into submitting.

Disney will be able to balance this out with how well Iron Man 3 did, just like how they balanced out after John Carter using The Avengers.
-
Yes she is, from what I've read she's a one legged brothel owner who has a gun in her fake leg.
-
That's basically all it was, which I can respect a movie like that.
-
Oh I know, I own them all as I'm a horror fan, but PA has become like Jaws where the families just need to stay away from cameras as shit gets messed up when they use them, just like how the Brody family should stay away from water. What my main gripe about The Purge outside of the asshole kids was Ethan Hawke's choice of weapon. It was I guess a shotgun but it looked like the long machine guns from Aliens that were attached to the marine's bodies. This gun was so cumbersome as it had to be pumped a couple times before each shot making it the LEAST effective weapon for defense.

It couldn't even make 10 million its opening day while DM2 tripled its take, many analysts are already saying it will be a miracle if it makes 45 million. And with all of the bad word of mouth coupled with Depp's last couple not being great to movie goers even though they paid to see them, I don't think it will make it. With all of the marketing they did for this movie, which was leaps and bounds better than John Carter, this movie should be raking in the dough. But if Disney is hoping to make an additional 500-600 million overseas, I think they will be upset about what happens. Dark Shadows made money overseas as it was a large cult show and cult items in America can be national treasures overseas and The Tourist did well overseas as that movie was marketed overseas better than it was in the States. Pirates did well as the series got worldwide attention. The Lone Ranger is a very American niche character, larger than John Carter, but still niche to overseas markets. Add to that the movie is more Tonto than anything, and you can see that Disney is really hoping Depp's name sells this overseas despite being blasted by everyone. I'm sticking to my prediction that it will be the biggest summer bust though I think it should bring in more than John Carter which even with overseas sales, was still a bust.
