I would love for this movie to be covered as it is one of the most insane later Arnold movies. I loved that Byrne's first act as the devil was to go up to his buddies wife, pull her tit out, and make out with her. And also that if you work for the devil, you are super resilient to taking damage from bullets or Arnold punches.

I too loved it as a kid and tried to get all the McDonald's toys for the movie, back when McDonald's toys were awesome. But having just bought it and rewatched it, it really is an insane movie.

From what I've read they were both set for the same day, whether or not the studio for Magic Mike tried to split the box office with GI Joe and moved it to that day could be possible, but Paramount moved Joe because they were coming out the same day. And after just seeing it in 3D (only because it was the only available showing at the time I wanted to go) I can say it added nothing to the film. All they did was basically add depth to shots to make it seem 3D which sucked out loud. Overall the movie isn't that great outside of the few halfway decent fight scenes that are shown in the trailer and Jonathan Pryce as the President/Zartan was the best performance in the movie because he realized what type of film he was in. This movie could be done on the podcast for the simple behind the scenes that went on with changing its release date. There are other plot holes that were never explained in the movie that I would love to hear discussed like how in the previous movie the Joes are made up of specific soldiers with their own unique capabilities. You had a Wayans, Dennis Quad, Scarlett, the Tech Guy, Brendan Fraser, and a few others. Now it is just Channing Tatum, the Rock, Lady Jaye, a parkour doing Flint, and Snake Eyes, among a bunch of generic soldiers. It is never explained what happened to all of those other people and whether or not they are dead. The other thing I would think Jason would freak out about is the Rock's kids in the movie. In the beginning of the movie it is established that he has two little girls, no older than 7 years old. Yet when he is claimed to have been KIA, we don't see them until the end of the movie which in the movie's time about a week and a half from the initial attack. There was no mention of a mom or any neighbors who could look after the kids so are we to assume they were left alone to their own devices for almost two weeks while they thought their dad was dead?

I remember seeing this when it came out on DVD and thought it was pure shit. I was surprised at how many big names they were able to get into it.

But it's really a Cobra operative acting as the president in disguise so that would make sense.

And they also had a huge Super Bowl ad for it, but they didn't realize that at first that it was coming out the SAME DAY as Magic Mike, or that it was coming out in the middle of the biggest summer movie season ever with a bunch of heavy hitter movies.

You lost me when you had that sea donkey Sarah Jessica Parker labeled as the hot chick.

If they are to do a White House attack movie, it should be White House Down. I just saw the trailer and it looks HORRIBLE. It's from Roland Emmerich so of course the White House has to be destroyed. There is a boatload of shitty CGI and Jamie Foxx doing an Obama style performance.

I loved this movie. It worked because it was Die Hard in the White House and it knew that, so it didn't need to be super factual. If this movie got done it would definitely be in the vein of Crank 2 and Punisher War Zone since it is pretty over the top with the action. As far as Morgan Freeman goes, if he's willing to do narration for the Conan remake, he's willing to do anything.

I think he's lined up to play Joe Paterno next.

Since HDTGM has done a TV movie with Liz and Dick, why not do another with the always popular Al Pacino? Jokes have been made about Pacino and his use of wigs before, but this movie looks like it will take the cake. It comes out next month and if the trailer is any indication, this will be insane. This really needs to be done just for that fact that it bombed in the TV ratings even with a high caliber cast and that it has an opening disclaimer that says it is not based on a true story even though it's depicting the life and trial of Phil Spector.

Shall we remember that the big selling point in the trailer was a Royale With Cheese joke.

I remember he did his first movie after getting loans, and since it was so cheap it made some money. Then add to that the money he made from hocking Shamwow and Slap Chop, which sold pretty well. Oh and he also won a 4 million dollar lawsuit against Anna Nicole Smith because she backed out of being in the Underground Comedy Movie, so that probably paid off most of this movies budget.

Holy shit, why was it so high?! There wasn't much CGI and I doubt Cuba's salary was more than 10 million.

There has been talk of a Predators sequel which I would love to see what kind of characters they get. But like everything with Robert Rodriguez, he talks about sequels coming out immediately (Sin City, anyone?) but then they get pushed back to proposed remakes (Red Sonja) or sequels no one asked for (Spy Kids 4). The only sequel that he seems to be getting out in a reasonable time frame is Machete Kills.

Brody had at least one decent chance at coming back with Predators. I thought the movie was great and he did okay, but he's just not an action star and now reduced to doing movies directed by the Shamwow guy.

And like I said, he did all of those basically back to back to back over the course of a couple years. Either he was wanting to kill his career or he has the worst agent known to man.

And do remember that this was a Skeet Ulrich vehicle, the guy whose biggest role up to that point was the killer in the first Scream movie had top billing over a recent OSCAR WINNER in Cuba Gooding Jr. This is the movie that officially killed the Cuba hype train I think. He did Men of Honor right after which was his last big lead role, but then he went on to make Pearl Harbor in a bit role, Rat Race, Snow Dogs, and Boat Trip, a truly perfect formula for failure that almost seems like Cuba was cherry picking roles that he knew would kill his career. Then of course he tried to do a serious movie in hopes of getting awards, but failed when he went full tard in Radio. After that it was all bit parts and straight to DVD for him.

It's a version of Speed that even Jan de Bont would think is shitty.

Yeah the change in character tone really affected the Robocop comics as well. In the first movie, The Old Man was a kindly old guy who built a small business into a giant corporation while in the second he was a vicious businessman who sends a giant robot to kill the mayor, which made it hard for Marvel to make comic adaptations of the films. Miller can create a great sense of noir or epic stories, but in recent years he has really gone crazy with his ideology. And remember that Holy Terror was originally going to be a Batman story before DC made him change it.

Let's not forget that Miller tried to turn the movie into a Sin City knockoff and gave the Spirit a healing factor when he never had one in the comics.

Nothing says cheap movie like the movie poster featuring Kevin "Hercules" Sorbo holding a photoshopped minigun/nerfgun. And watch the trailer where Sorbo finds his wife and kid and basically gropes the womans tits as a way to make it look like CPR before getting up and beginning to undo his belt, seemingly to have sex with her dead body next to their dead son, HOLY SHIT! Yeah, to be fair, after reading his comic that combined both stories it made sense to break it up into two movies. Even at just over 200 pages, there is a lot crammed into the comic. Miller is probably in the top 3 of legit insane people in the world of comics, along with Grant Morrison and Alan Moore.
