Don't know if this one has been mentioned but The Bad Batch looks intriguing as hell. Directed by the woman who did A Girl Walks A Home Alone At Night and starring Suki Waterhouse, Jason Mamoa, Keanue Reeves, and Jim Carrey, it comes off as a mix of Mad Max dystopia as if directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY_Yu14juVY

I already know about one actress that's been confirmed but I'm guessing that there are more surprises. Are there mid or end credit scenes?

I'm seeing Fast 8 on Monday as to avoid what I'm expecting to be massive crowds, but after seeing trailers I'm wondering if this series is going on the same track as Sharknado. The first one (or fifth in Fast case) was surprisingly well made and really fun, the next was over the top and stupid fun as well, the third starts to show signs of wear but is still really fun because it embraces its campiness, but the fourth is so over the top in its winking at the camera that it's just not fun. I really hope it's not like that but after seeing the Rock kick away a torpedo and some of the other stunts, it's given me pause.

I loved IM3 though the scene where he MacGuyvers his way through the Mandarin's mansion just showed that he could handle rent a thugs, though still with assistance from near super tech. While some may compare him to Batman like this, Bruce Wayne at least has years of training in numerous forms of combat, whereas Stark is just a condescending alcoholic.

Yeah I'm too lazy to make a nickname and it's easier to abbreviate my last name since it's harder to pronounce than the variety of ways "sz" can sound. Holy shit I can't believe I didn't think about that, which is more insane considering as part of my job at a public library is to order DVDs for public use and I'm pretty sure I did get at least one copy of this on donation. And yes, I am going down the HDTGM episode list and ordering copies for my library, The Room has already circulated a few times since we got it a month or so ago.

Dax Shepard is easily the best part of this movie and sells the shit out of being an annoying overachiever, but otherwise this movie is terrible. I did kind of chuckle at the jabs towards warehouse stores selling everything in bulk as in the scene where an old lady is trying to pull a full coffin off a shelf. Then you have the scene where Simpson shows she's an "ugly duckling" by revealing her giant rubber ears and the fact that there's a secret clubhouse in the store buried among the shelves.

I'm interested to see where Marvel takes one of their marquee characters, though I had to shake my head at the scenes of Tony Stark being "stern dad" to Peter Parker. When he tells him he shouldn't be a superhero if he has to rely on his suit that made me question in my head, "you mean like you completely do? Otherwise you just create robots or programs that completely fuck up the world." I liked the first one okay, though I think it's the next weakest Marvel film next to Iron Man 2, but loved Dark World as it really expanded the Thor universe, which it appears that this one will do even more so.

With this Thor it looks like they are starting to tie all of the aspects of the MCU (superhero, mystic, space) together as they head towards Avengers 3. With Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed for this film it's not a surprise after the mid-credit scene from the last film, I would also not be surprised to see the Guardians of the Galaxy to be at least referenced in this film considering the aesthetic for this trailer had a very Guardians feel to it and it features another Elder God in Jeff Goldbloom's Grandmaster character. Definitely looking forward to this film.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to watch this damn movie because I'm not paying 10 bucks to buy it on Amazon and I can't stand the versions that are on Youtube since they are basically a 6x7 square on my screen, plus I'm distracted by the various public freakout videos that are filling my recommended feed. Also I haven't really listened to the minis in a while and I'm kinda excited I was named the winning commentator for the episode, which to my knowledge is a first. Also Paul, you need to be real specific when stabbing the lobster, from what I remember it needs to be quick, deep and right between the eyes for the lobster to not feel pain and die instantly.

Yeah she called her Didi which I never got as that was what everyone else called her and those two names are so different from one another, I would have understood the bit if it was like Trixie but not Didi. For a second I thought the detention teacher was either Bulk or Skull since the camera kept focusing on him, or at least someone with a history with the series but according to IMDB he's just a character actor. I'm assuming those two will be making a return of some kind in the sequels, because even though they were jerks in the show, they never tried to break a kids wrist in the middle of a crowded hallway like the ginger bully in this film.

The other thing that got to me was the fact that Billy's mom knew all of the other kids by reputation, and announced it to him. I get why she would exclaim that Jason Scott was in the house as he was the star QB of the high school and had recently been arrested, but why is she then going "OH SHIT KIMMY HART AND ZACK TAYLOR!?" It might as well have sounded like "why are these good humans here to meet a dumb-dumb nothing like you?" Also,

I have to assume that this is an extension of the final story from Cat's Eye, but evolving the villain from a small troll to the Sleepwalkers. King has said that he continues to fiddle with his stories and expand upon them so it would make sense to a drug addled King. The only other connection I found was they seem to have to close their eyes to focus their powers like camouflage, but even that's a stretch.

Holy shit I forgot about that scene. That was another bonkers moment because for that act to happen they literally had to traverse what I assume was the length of the town and since none of them had a car, that meant they did that whole thing on foot. Did no one notice this?!

I have to wonder if it was a scenario where her lifeforce is more potent and recharges them more if she is really in love with the son. To me it's like how when cooking a lobster, it is better to put a knife through it's head to kill it instantly rather than putting it into boiling water alive, because by doing the latter, the lobster is pumping with adrenaline, or its form of that chemical, and its meat firms up and loses some of its flavor, which doesn't occur if you kill it in one stab. So by taking Tanya on a date, he is in essence seasoning her for the main course.

See I loved the series as a kid as well and while the movie is watchable, the changes that they make like giving the kids superpowers pushes it more towards bad for me. One review that I read questioned why the Rangers even needed the suits outside of driving the zords, because without the suits they basically had the same abilities and threshold for damage. I will say that the actor playing the Blue Ranger was easily the best part of this movie and carried the other cast members on his back as they moped about with their own after school special problem. Where did you cry at?

Correction: Garth Ennis was the writer of Rover Red Charlie, not Robert Kirkman. For a second I thought it was Michael Beihn.

As a devout lover of horror movies I can easily say that I have never seen a final girl do so much to act against her own safety and the safety of others. After the sheriff has broken into the house and shot the mom, the female lead is literally dragging her feet and grabbing onto everything her hand touches in order for her and the sheriff to be caught more easily. The only thing that she didn't do was grab his sidearm and shoot herself in the leg. Question: I apologize if this is covered in the episodes but I usually do my first comment on an episode before I hear it while I have thoughts on the film fresh in my head. Was the creative writing teacher intimating that he wanted to fuck the son in order to remain silent that he had falsified his transcripts? It seemed like that was what he was about to say after the kid said he had no money, but then his hand was ripped off. Also did you guys realize that the Fugees sampled part of the end credit song by Enya for their version of "Ready or Not?" I thought I was losing my mind when I heard that humming as the cats ran around a burning corpse but when I looked it up there it was. So at least one good thing came from this horrible movie and we have an amazing song with a fantastic backing track.

I just finished watching this and this needs to be a double live show with the original Rangers film. While there are some nice things in the film like how the tropes of the original series characters are changed up like the black character being an on-the-spectrum geek who loves country music or the Asian character avoiding contact with because of survivor's guilt he feels over his mother seemingly fighting a terminal illness. Unfortunately, they really heap on the Breakfast Club tropes of the kids being the jock (Red), cheerleader/hot chick (Pink), rebel (Black), nerd (Blue), and loner/goth/outsider (Yellow). I will say if the entire 2 hr movie was like the first 5 minutes was, this movie would have been AMAZING because it was gritty in the way that short film was that came out a few years back, unlike what the movie was that bounced between grit and over-the-top hamminess. There are points that are never explained like how Jason, who is a Bobo Zac Efron, is introduced trying to play a prank on a rival high school and gets arrested, and when questioned by his dad about why he did it and ruined his chances at a serious college football career, he gives the stereotypical "you wouldn't understand" response, but then never explains it to the audience so we understand his motivations. Then you have various other issues/causes that are introduced but never elaborated on past a couple seconds which make it seem like they were just part of a checklist. Then you have moments where they literally call out to Transformers and other moments that just have you shaking your head in wonder. Speaking of Transformers, the product placement in this movie rivals any Michael Bay film, including a 3 minute span where Krispy Kreme is referenced or said about 25 times, among other instances. Elizabeth Banks chews up scenery on a Pacino-esque level, while there isn't enough Brian Cranston. They try to do a lot of fan service, but it's not hitting you over the head outside of one bit where they play the original theme song as the zords run on screen as they did in the TV show, and a quick cameo from a couple original cast members. Another big issue is outside of the opening segment, the characters don't appear in costume until about 90 minutes into the film which makes it basically a half-assed teen dramedy. This movie really had no identity to itself and was just trying to ape Transformers right down to how the Megazord looks, which is unfortunate. Hell if they made this in the same vein as the original series and had fun with it, it would have been a much better movie, similar to the Batman '66 comic series.

When did Seagal have a role in the biopic about the lead singer of Quiet Riot? Also I gotta say how ticked I am that not once during the season of Iron Fist did someone have "Kung Fu Fighting" jokingly as their ringtone or on Danny's Ipod, it was right there for the taking!

I have to wonder on Iron Fist of how much of the crews involved with the other Marvel shows were involved with the making of this one because there is a stark difference in quality. It also makes me wonder who is involved with the making of the Defenders, which I assume is close to completion for the release later this year. After watching Jones' fighting I have to believe that he just wasn't willing to put the full effort into learning a new form of stage fighting after what he learned for Game of Thrones, because his movements are slow and plodding, as if he was still swinging a broadsword in King's Landing. As for Legion, I watched the first episode and was interested to see where it went, but it got put on the back burner as I continued to binge other shows like GoT, Hand of God, and Outcast. I'm going to get back to it eventually, I just don't know when.

With the Marvel TV series, I am starting to get tired of the heroes spending a couple episodes hemming and hawing about what they should do with the villain, whether kill them or go to the police or some hair brained idea that is seen from a mile away by the villains. With how Gao talks in double speak and riddles, I am really hoping that she is featured in the Punisher series, and rather than listen to a long riddle from her, Frank Castle just gets impatient and shoots her, just to exclaim how different his mindset is from them. One question I had about the Iron Fist show, which I'm about 3/4 through, is why do ninjas, who apparently the shit when it comes to stealth and finesse, always run around in black IN BROAD DAYLIGHT?! I would understand the Hand or Iron Fist doing shit during the day if they spruced up their camouflage to match the situation, but that never happens for all that I've seen so far.

I watched most of these today and they are glorious, especially if you have any memory of the territory days and how bad they got near the end of their runs. The Ric Flair impersonator may be the best part of the whole series.
