Reading that made me feel two different things, First: Then:

Fuck Jack Thompson. That psychopath was everything wrong with how people assigned blame to things that they knew nothing about and had nothing to do with any given incident. I am so glad that asshole got disbarred and am amazed that it didn't happen sooner. The fact that they try to make him, a man who reneged on a bet to donate to charity if a video game was made to his specifications and then sued Penny Arcade when they made the donation in his name, a saint in this series is horrifying, though not surprising given the issues that Rockstar has had with British media and the BBC. EPISODE 126 - The Star Wars Holiday Special
RyanSz replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I now honestly want to see one of those exotic fish tank shows create a bandolier fish tank for Chewbacca. -
I liked this one despite a few plot holes in it. Wasn't this Brando's last live action role before he died? Either way he had long since checked out of his sanity by this point so any story about him is like when I hear a crazy story about Nic Cage, I just nod and say "sounds about right." Norton was good in both parts of his role as he didn't pull a Sean Penn or Cuba Gooding Jr., but I think this was the start of the phone it in version of De Niro that we now know and love.

Yeah it was a few years back where Nebraska or some similar state didn't explicitly state a deadline for dropping off your kids so parents were driving in as far as other states to give up their kids, some as old as 12.

I think there are some states that still don't have an age cap on their Safe Haven laws regarding dropping your kid off at a fire station free and clear.

SHE FELL ASLEEP?!?!?! SHUN THAT CHILD FROM THE COMMUNITY!!!!

I honestly don't know who you're talking about but your breakdown of Finn is spot on, especially after his scenes with Cap. Phasma.

I just got out of the movies after seeing Force Awakens and I really enjoyed it. I'm honestly amazed that the studio was able to keep so much under wraps for such a big project. People have talked shit about Disney buying Lucasfilms and that they would ruin the series, but tend to forget that Lucas was the one completely behind the prequels, and had no one to tell him that something was a bad idea, like this: Yes, that is a mechanical sucker where you actually make out with Jar Jar Binks. This new movie works so well, because Disney paid over 4 billion dollars for this franchise, and they are going to do their damndest to not piss the fans off so that they can earn back that money and then some. Plus you have the fact that the entire crew of this movie growing up on Star Wars or for some, being a part of the original trilogy, and they want to preserve that image while adding their own stamp to it. My only gripe about the movie was Finn, who I really couldn't get a read on. Most of the movie he was great and fit in that universe, while other times he came off as an extra from a Fast & the Furious movie and it just took me out of the movie. I did laugh on the way out of the theater when I heard a guy behind me say to his buddy, "oh yeah, they're definitely going to make another one." Really, you think Disney was just going to be one and done and not complete the trilogy?

The only part if found slightly humorous was Ving Rhames' rendition of "I'm Every Woman," because he realized the crap film he was in and just played it up for the fun of it.

I get the same in the libraries that I work at, both in the prison and public one. Parents will come up PISSED about what their kids checked out contained something that they didn't agree with (which could be anything from violence to a juvenile character backsassing an adult). It's why all libraries have a National Banned Book Week in order to show that ignorance knows no bounds, but that a library will not block people from information or try to steer them one way or another with information. Yet the jackass director of my public library was hesitant for me to order R rated movies because "kids could check them out," to which I had to explain to him that a library is in loco parentis which means we are not the parents of these kids and if they want to check it out it is up to the parents to know what is going on in their kids' lives, you know, actually parent their goddamn kids. I also get it in my prison library where inmates will complain about subject matter of books WITHOUT ACTUALLY READING THE BOOKS. I have a manga series called Assassination Classroom which is a comedic sci-fi story about a class of high schoolers tasked with killing an alien who also is their teacher. It's pretty light hearted and is really good story-wise, yet one of my regulars saw the title and started complaining that it's "shit like this that causes kids to shoot up schools etc." and that "he wouldn't let his daughters or grandkids read this." At which I almost yelled at him and asked if he wouldn't let them read it in between the times he sexually assaulted his kids' friends? So believe me when I say any person can get high and mighty on the subject matter of something, but more often than not they're all the same; stupid, stupid assholes.

No funding needed, it all fell off the back of a truck.

Oh Wee-Bey, you murderous card! Also, does anyone feel that Dick Crazy would make a great Dick Tracy porn parody? With how bonkers some of the characters are in that series, I think it could really work. Sorry, I got parody on the brain after going to the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas this weekend and saw the Landspeeder and some costumes from the Star Wars porn parody. Actually amazed Lucas didn't sue the pants off of Vivid since that towed the line as close as it could concerning parody and straight up infringement.

Am I the only one wishing there was a deleted scene aftre Shaq took Gish from the VA where a doctor runs in saying, "where'd she go, we were about to start the operation to repair her spine so she could walk again?"

Perfect, something to make my flight home that much smoother.

By the Sea After Earth (literally had the Smith family all over the credits) Lady in the Water (because M. Night made himself the inspiration for the next great leader of the free world) And I'm going to count this as a vanity project because the director put his daughter in a major role and decided the mob should fight the Vatican, Godfather part 3.

If I find out Matt Damon is voicing the beeps and boops for BB-88, I will lose my fucking mind, especially if he reads like this version of himself:

...Five Stars.

If they do this they need to make it a double feature with the other Matt LeBlanc monkey film, Ed.

This movie might be too bad for the show, I feel more dead inside for just fast forwarding through it. Sheen is incredibly wooden in his line reads and there are so many product placement puns it's nauseating. The graphics are Playstation 2 level and that's being generous, fuck this movie.

I was able to get this movie in a four pack with Black Mask, War, and The Limey. I remember seeing it on HBO and just being transfixed by how off the wall it was that by the time I realized it, the movie had finished. Such an insane premise that it would almost be more suited as a comic book.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
RyanSz replied to blackacre's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I watched this on Amazon and just found it boring. It wasn't the normal Michael Bay kinda bonkers so there wasn't even that to keep me entertained. Also the trailer for the sequel was released and I feel it could be a much better candidate for the show if only for two phrases: evil Tyler Perry and roller blades! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeaugHGd1Kw -
Yeah after hearing all the news stories about the games being found I wasn't so much watching the doc to see them found but the amount of work that went into trying to find these things and the crowd of people that showed up to see people digging in dirt was pretty astonishing.

Pretty sure this has been recommended before but I agree it would be an amazing movie for the show.
