Marvel still has that problem, just not as bad. It's especially bad with their release for paperbacks and graphic novels, especially centering around their big crossover stories. They released Original Sin a year or so back, but they were still releasing tie-ins for their other series' almost a year past its release. Now with Secret Wars a bunch of the tie-in books are coming out in the next month or so but the actual main Secret Wars book isn't coming out until March I believe. This is also getting mixed in with the new reboot of reboot series that they are constantly doing to where it is a colossal clusterfuck of trying to know when shit is coming out and what order it's supposed to be read in. The other problem Marvel still has is that it creates so many different iterations of teams. There are the Avengers, the New Avengers, A-Force, Uncanny Avengers Secret Avengers and then there's X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Force, etc. Garth Ennis made fun of it in The Boys with there being a team of superheroes who are constantly adding newer and newer teams much to the chagrin of every other superhero in the country.

In the recent Duggan/Posehn run of Deadpool there was a bit where he had a flashback in the 90s about his final test for Weapon X and it perfectly encapsulated the X-Tremeness of 90s comics.

With those ankle pouches I would have thought Rob Liefeld created him but I was pleasantly surprised that he had no part in that characters creation.

God, what a shitty, shitty story-line and character. I'm actually amazed that Funko Pop hasn't tried making a figurine for that character as they sometimes get some pretty deep pulls for who they select.

Is that a Ben Reilly Spider-Man shirt?!
-
Wait, it's not?

I'm just going to bring this up again because it needs to be, spinning phone booths.

THE 90S FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In times like these it's warranted.

First I was like: Then I was like: This movies is amazing and not for this show.

Top 5 movies for you personnally that they have not done yet

Day After Tomorrow is shit and would be perfect for the show, as would Dreamcatcher. How have you only just witnessed the awesome badness of Johnny Mnemonic and are you amazed that the human brain can only reasonably hold 80GB of memory? My iPod holds more than that. I remember Cool World being crazy but I can't remember too many specifics since it's been awhile since I've seen it. I remember hating Baby Geniuses even as a kid. -

Tig Nitaro = the only person I've seen consistently win on Doug Loves Movies despite never seeing a movie in the last 25 years. -
Yeah but even with Violet shooting actual bullets, she was shooting twice as much using two guns and switching out clips like there was no tomorrow. She shot the guy a good twenty times and then STILL had to bash his head in with a fire extinguisher. The only person in film history who got it worse was Sonny Corleone.

I almost wonder if they had Cameron in mind when they created some of the Christian characters.
-
After seeing this I'm honestly amazed that they put 25 million into it.

A Z-movie with the acting level of The Room concerning a gay couple trying to get married. What makes this so insane is that one of the guys' brother is a radical Christian who in an attempt to get back into the church after they excommunicate him due to his gay brother, hatches a plan with his priest to kill the gay couple. This is followed by a Scarface level revenge plot after the attempted assassination goes awry. The entire movie is on Youtube and is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4f7bPBzUm0

I love Galaxy Quest and cannot wait for the show that they are making at Amazon, now I only wish that they will release the original R rated version just to see what that would have been like.

Yeah I've just re-read Starlight and it still holds up and could definitely see it as a movie starring De Niro in the lead role. I myself love Millar's work, though I haven't read American Jesus yet. His Jupiter series is really good too and Frank Quitely's art in Jupiter's Legacy is amazing as always. I loved Scalped as it was basically a couple seasons of The Wire set on an Indian reservation, even the final issue follows the same premise of Wire's finale. Another great one off I read was Sexcastle by Kyle Starks which is basically every 80s action movie rolled up into one and sprinkled with crack. Two other series I am really digging right now are Nailbiter by Joshua Williamson which is a great serial killer thriller concerning a town that has birthed 16 serial killers and The Humans by Keenan Marshall Keller which is basically Planet of the Apes meets Sons of Anarchy in a dystopian wasteland.

Jason Aaron is an amazing writer and his Punisher Max run was a great and fitting end to that character, some of his other great work includes the amazing Scalped, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Southern Bastards. Some other great comics I've read recently include Chrononauts by Mark Millar which is batshit crazy, Deadly Class by Rick Remender which is a great mix of violence, 80s culture and humor, Taskmaster by Fred Van Lente which is a series that I wish was expanded upon because Taskmaster is great untapped character in the Marvel Universe, and Curse by Michael Moreci which might be one of the best werewolf stories (graphic or otherwise) that I've ever read.

I got through about 7 parts on Youtube and called it quits, god this movie is horrible.

Just started watching this and have to conclude that these girls are either the worst shots of all time or the guy in the first scene was able to move and fire while being shot nearly 30 times at point blank range.

Jem and The Holograms (2015)

I'm sure there would be a nice bump but, how much I don't know and with as small of a budget as this, it might make a dent in its losses but I don't think it would put it in the black. As for actors not wanting this on their resume, I'm of the mindset that EVERY actor has one or two movies like this on their resume. I feel it's better to get them out of the way early in a career so that you can push forward. George Clooney was in Return of the Killer Tomatoes, Leonardo Dicaprio was in Critters 3, Jennifer Lawrence was in the Bill Engvall Show, etc. If they do it later in their career it comes off as worse I think, just look at Nic Cages career for the last 15 years or Zac Efron's We Are Your Friends. -

See I don't know if a character can hold up for an entire episode like they do with CBB or Doug Loves Movies, especially Herzog who PFT makes incredibly weird. Also, if PFT should do a character I would think it would be Ice-T who has a bevy of bad movies to his name. -

Yeah but doesn't Speed Racer fall into that niche category of cartoons that a select group really follow and enjoy? To me that would be like trying to make a live action Robotech or Star Blazers movie today and expecting it to bring in huge box office returns. I know that Speed Racer is a bit more well known in the US than Robotech, but not so much that it would be like TMNT or Transformers in regards to popularity. I do find it odd that they are saying that this is such a huge flop when it only cost $5 million to make and only made just under $3 million, which isn't too bad considering there really wasn't any marketing for this movie and I believe both Fast 7 and Jurassic World were making $5 million per minute on each of their opening weekends. This isn't like John Carter or The Lone Ranger where hundreds of millions were spent and they only made a fraction of the cost back. Though I admit it is embarassing that the movie made less than $8,000 outside of the US. -
