A Lovecraft story is perfect for someone like Stanley, especially after seeing Dust Devil and Hardwire recently which both have a lot of weird and mystical elements to them.

Top 5 movies for you personnally that they have not done yet
RyanSz replied to Snake's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Sorry but I think I deserve a pat as well for the Cage double feature and then No Holds Barred and Daredevil. Here is my updated list: 1. The Happening - I know it will probably never happen, but I can dare to dream. 2. Dreamcatcher - shit weasels 3. Southland Tales - Cars fucking, enough said. 4. Ready to Rumble - still a perfect movie for the show, especially considering the behind the scenes shit involved with that film. 5. Hackers - The most 90s movie ever made. -
I saw those listed on Netflix or Amazon and they looked kinda eh to me, yet ones like A Haunting at Preston Castle, Deadtime Stories, or Dead Dudes in the House, were all deplorable and the latter could be a decent episode of the show in itself.

I think Stephen King listens to the podcast because I just started reading his newest collection of short stories, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, which features some stories he had published elsewhere, though that's common in short story collections. Yet the evidence I got that he listens, at least to this episode, is from his author's note at the beginning of the book which reads exactly as this: "Some of these stories have been previously published, but that doesn't mean they were done then, or even that they're done now. Until a writer either retires or dies, the work is not finished; it can always use a polish and a few more revisions." Holy. Shit.

Okay they really need to do the Paula Deen/Trayvon episode back to back with the upcoming one where they lampoon the Duggar family. They also need to include the one with John Stamos where he got a bunch of chicks pregnant because he believed it was human nature to spawn as much as possible. He was also wealthy and taking care of each kid financially but the detectives still got on a high horse because he was just knocking chicks up, which last time I checked wasn't a crime as long as he wasn't maliciously spreading a disease like AIDS, which he wasn't. This is also similar to the Vince Vaughn movie Delivery Man where the sperm he sold to a bank led to hundreds of kids, and people were INCENSED that someone could donate so much. Mind you, Vaughn's character had absolutely NOTHING to do with the selection process, but somehow he's still an asshole on the level of Hitler.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this but do you think they featured all of the vests/Native American decor as a sort of Shining grab to make viewers think that there might be a supernatural element due to Indian burial grounds? For a second in the beginning I was wondering if all of those decorations would lead to something along those lines, but nope just random shit in order to be random.

Don't forget skin sushi in Crank 2.

To me it was just an even more boring version of the last half of Lucy, which is a shame because the book it's loosely based on is actually pretty well received and the character actually had multiple dimensions to her and reasons why she was doing the things she was. I will admit though the whole toddler scene did make me uncomfortable since it was like the splinter scene in Zombi 2 where it went on for so long.

Guests I'd Love To Hear of HDTGM

Why zero, Bill's always doing takedowns of movies on other shows or sites, I'd think there would be a good chance of him being on eventually. -
Clapping and cheering are a different animal because those are expected for a live event like this. Whistling is an attention seeking action which distracts from the discussion that the hosts are having and he was doing it quite a bit. Jason has called out girls who cheer at inappropriate times in many of the live episodes before, or the ones who go WWWHHOOOO at random intervals because it can distract people. It also didn't help that the guy was kinda swarmy about being the whistler.

Could have sworn this was already on the forum and surprised that it isn't. This movie is all red herrings and uses the same theme of the Kevin Bacon show, The Following, where every single person is secretly a killer/stalker/peeping tom/psychopath.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991)
RyanSz replied to jarrycanada's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
See I remember Sin City being the start of his short resurrection. I remember there were even people saying he should have gotten a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nod for the role.Yet after the Wrestler, he has now fallen back to his old pattern of straight-to-DVD dreck. -
Every October for the past few years I basically do a marathon of nothing but horror movies. As of right now I've watched 115 and I can say this was nowhere near the worst. Amazon Prime really has some shitty horror movies available for free, so bad that they wouldn't even be good for the show (Crazy Murder, Under the Skin, and Stage Fright, come to mind). This was actually crazy good in the same vein as Sleepaway Camp. I believe the lawyer was trying to finagle the gym from David by showing that he couldn't run his system anymore and needed to be replaced, kind of like a vote of confidence. I didn't realize that the majority of extras were porn stars but that makes sense, but does that mean that blind girlfriend was also a porn star since she was going full frontal as well and starting to fingerblast herself in the opening scene?

I don't know if I could choose an ultimate 2000s list as my taste skews all over the place, which my inmates really enjoy because I'll play music low in my library to break the monotony. I'll go from Korn to Frank Sinatra to Jimmy Eat World to The Misfits to Kanye West to George Harrison. It keeps them calm while at the same time not getting too energetic as the tempo is constantly changing. I will admit though that one big guilty pleasure of mine is Aqua, who's first album I still think is the shit.

I get that they made it as a way to push a new angle of "realism" with found footage since probably every possible thing had been done up to that point, the only problem is that pesky little website called IMDB which has the "real" actors' full resumes listed. Before when Blair Witch came out there was the ability to have it come off as real since the internet was in its infancy still so a lot of people didn't know how to really look for the information. Now it's a simple click and boom, you know everything about everyone involved in the movie.

Okay halfway into this movie and I realize that I'm going to have to buy the blu ray of this because it is amazeballs. Half of the equipment serves zero health purpose, the kill scenes are pretty gory and well done, and at one point a woman is given a map to meet in the basement and the map is clearly just a square with an X in it. Also there are numerous flashbacks to a woman in a wheelchair setting herself on fire and that woman's ex-husband, the main character, runs a gym to basically plow any woman who comes in there.
-
I have Prime and I had to still rent this for 2.99, but so worth it. Why is Ken Foree wearing a Steve Harvey blue with rainbow trim jacket and white short shorts? Also why does half the equipment in this gym look like it was made by the people who made the robots in Chopping Mall and can be controlled by the security staff in the surveillance room, which seems so unsafe it should be criminal?

They also need to explain how they made a movie based on bullshit claims of Frank Dux and that the Kumite took place in the same address as Dux's home and that he got the trophy from a local trophy shop.

Jem and The Holograms (2015)
RyanSz replied to Grand Moff Talkin''s topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
That's kinda expected though of a movie released only on 8 screens. Hell Zzyzx Rd. with Tom Sizemore and Kathryn Heigl only made $34 TOTAL for it's week long run in a single theater, which was meant as a way for the director to be able to distribute the movie overseas. -
I remember seeing this piece of shit. What was funny was that with JCVD's accent, the few times he attempted to say Replicant came out as "replicunt" so they tried to make it so he didn't have to say it as much. Also there's this bit of fun:

Jem and The Holograms (2015)
RyanSz replied to Grand Moff Talkin''s topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I thought the Sandler film Men, Women & Children got less when it went into wide release because it earned around $505 per theater. But then I saw it was for a movie in 600+ theaters which I guess still makes Jem the record holder since it was in a lot more theaters. -
Would it be possible to include directors and writers who have had multiple movies covered on the show? Going through the episodes I came up with the following list. Please note I didn't include actors on the list since they were already counted for acting in the movie, otherwise Stallone would have 5-6 more entries to his name. Here is the list up to the most recent episode (Perfect). M. Night Shyamalan two with Last Airbender and After Earth Joel Schumacher directed Trespass and Batman & Robin Akiva Goldsman wrote Batman & Robin, produced Deep Blue Sea, and wrote, produced, and directed Winter's Tale Joel Silver produced Road House, Xanadu, Hudson Hawk, Demolition Man, and Fair Game. Brad Wyman produced Tiptoes and Barb Wire Menahem Golan directed and produced Over the Top and produced Cobra John Frankenheimer directed Reindeer Games and The Island of Dr. Moreau Arnon Milchan produced Daredevil, Deck the Halls, and The Devil's Advocate Kim Fuller wrote From Justin to Kelly and Spice World Steven E. de Souza wrote Hudson Hawk, Judge Dredd, and wrote and directed Street Fighter Ivan Reitman produced and directed Junior and produced Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot Daniel Waters wrote Hudson Hawk and Demolition Man Yoram Globus produced Over the Top and Masters of the Universe Frank Marshall produced Last Airbender and directed Congo Sam Mercer produced Congo and Last Airbender Avi Arad produced Daredevil and Spider-Man 3 Mark Steven Johnson wrote Jack Frost and Daredevil Andrew G. Vajna and Buzz Feitshans both produced Color of Night and Judge Dredd Jon Peters produced Wild, Wild West and Tango & Cash Edward R. Pressman produced Judge Dredd and The Island of Dr. Moreau

I believe the line "Hey this worked for Stephen King" was uttered a few times in that high five session.
