Now that there has been an official Wikipedia page created for the show, I thought that there should at least be a section for the use of "literally" on the page since it is a big part of the show's history. I added a little blurb about it on the page but was wanting to create a table detailing the usage and by who for each full episode, sort of building off that great chart shown at the Superman 3 show, http://blog.earwolf.com/post/18455299797. Anyone up for the challenge of assisting me in building the table since now the show is near 100 episodes and that is a lot of literallys?

I thought at first the second character was under a secret identity, maybe trying to come back to the town to get back at the people who tried to send him to jail for killing Wild Bill, but then he was speaking with a refined voice and didn't have the scarring the other character had so I just realized that it was a weird casting choice.

Why do Cage and Murray both look surprised to be in the poster? Also I wonder if this somehow manages to be a success do they begin to whitewash the later entries in the series, which are known for being batshit crazy and over-the-top violent even by horror or action novel standards. Hell even the video game based on the books was cause for controversy when it basically came across as your character, who mind you is trying to be good and get into Heaven, murdering people by the boatloads because they didn't believe in Jesus. It was so bad that even the reviled Jack Thompson who wore his religious craziness on his sleeve went "okay maybe you should pull it back a bit."

HDTGM Special Edition: Gotham pilot
RyanSz replied to rootbeercomics.com's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
What I found funny reading comments on other sites about the show were from people who really only knew Batman from the movies, especially when it came to Montoya's character. Since casual fans or those who haven't read Gotham Central don't know that she is a lesbian, there were already complaints that the show was going to "throw in a gay character just because" or that the comedian from the club was "too obvious at being the Joker" even though his jokes were taken from the comic. I'm waiting to see how the show develops before deciding if im gonna continue to watch. -

Those were all basically pulled from Batman stories in one way or another as to give them a more procedural feel to the cop drama of the stories. The only thing I found unsettling was that they shoehorned in six comic villains and altered the timeline of characters incredibly. Other than that the show was okay but not worthy of HDTGM. -
And Yoakam was named Raul.

Yeah but that was funny because it was an ironic thing and Connery was jokingly saying it, Diaz is going full-sista with her accent and as we have learned from movies, you never go full ANYTHING.
-
Yeah, I don't think anyone was asking for Cameron Diaz talking ghetto.

How is he being a troll by just posting a clip saying no, when you're the one calling names? I loved the Game but I can understand how someone can find issue with how it played out. I just went under the assumption that because Douglas' character was such a type-A personality with a set schedule of things in his life it was easy for this massive company to plot out how he would do things once things started going against the grain for him. And they did have alternatives for if he didn't do something, like in the end when James Rebhorn told him that if he didn't shoot Sean Penn he was supposed to fight him and throw him over the side. Plus Sean Penn was there the whole time to give suggestions to the company on how to handle his brother and what possible choices he might make. And if you're looking for as you say "pretentious hipsters" go to IMDB's boards for that shit.

halloween suggestions
RyanSz replied to firsttimecallerlongtimelistenr's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Since we will probably never get The Happening on the show here are my top 5 choices for the next Halloween episode. 1. Maximum Overdrive 2. Dreamcatcher 3. Return to Sleepaway Camp 4. Jason X 5. Chopping Mall -
This is what has made me enjoy these forums so much, in that they are a basic oasis within the vast desert of internet shit. Places like Youtube and IMDB are just vile shitstorms of douchebags, while this place outside of a couple trolls in the past has been a true rarity on the internet.

This episode was comedic gold, but Jason without a beard is just not right.

The only thing I found being a nod to the movie being set in the 80s would be Lionel Richie winning a crapton of awards, since that was the last time he was truly relevant.

That may be the other Stallone music movie.

Yeah from casting Donny Wahlberg, John Leguizamo, 50 Cent, and Brian Dennehey, it almost seems they mad-libbed the rest of the cast after casting Pacino and De Niro. I imagine it going like this: Producer 1: Hey producer 2 who should we cast as the tough Boston-y detective to rival the leads? Producer 2: Well there is the Wahlbergs Chris Evans, or maybe James Spader. Producer 1: Okay how about that cop's minority partner who's a smartass? Producer 2: Well there's Leguizamo, Chris Rock, or even Chris Tucker. Producer 1: Alright, and lastly we need a rapper to play a gangster/club owner. Producer 2: Well that's easy, it's either 50 Cent or P Diddy. And if I remember right, Pacino started the killings because De Niro had planted evidence on a guy, giving him a life sentence, because they couldn't get him any other way. Because Pacino looked up to De Niro as a truly by-the-book cop who always wanted to do the right thing, this crushed him and caused him to take the law into his own hands.

I didn't think it was too bad, but far from his best or worst, just kinda eh. I thought Justin Long and Michael Parks worked off each other well. Unfortunately the Walrus looked ridiculous, which I wasn't surprised since I'm sure this was shot on a shoestring budget, but I felt it may have been better left to the imagination of the viewer than to show it completely.

That seems to be the case with all of these recent Christian based movies. Critics loathe the movies outside of those that work for faith-based outlets, and the same goes for the audience where those that are deep in the faith love the movie while anyone else either hates it or are indifferent to it.

I liked the movie in that in was hacking written by people who didn't know what the fuck they were talking about. I did like that they were inventive with the action, the opening scene especially, and Travolta's knowing-that-I'm-winking-but-still-talking opening monologue perfectly showed that what you were going to see was a whole lot of WTF. I also found it humorous that they did a spin on the Julianne Moore/Boogie Nights custody battle where she loses the right to her child because her religious husband claims she does drugs and porn in an actually normal house wherein this movie Hugh Jackman loses his kid because he was a hacker to Drea de Mateo who is actively shooting porn next to her daughter's bedroom. Also how much of a coincidence must there be for Travolta to look like not one, not two, but MANY known terrorist wherein he only has to change his hair color and style?

What I like is that the way the starting moment occurred for the whole film relied on what is basically a trophy weapon that hasn't been used in nearly two decades is both A) loaded and B maintained well enough that it would fire without blowing up the user's hand. I also like that the Irish mobster is played by a Russian actor known for his at times hammy roles as Russian mobsters in Peter Stormare. Was Mark Wahlburg not available for the head of the Russian Mob?

No I'm talking about his whole manner of speaking on the three topics of the inverview. Using divine womanhood and nobility among the other stuff was like listening to a guy who took woman studies and philosophy for a semester at junior college.

Wow Garfield has his head way up his own ass.

Yeah looking at Box Office Mojo both of those made an amount of money that they shouldn't have otherwise (91 and 60 million, respectively). It's similar to how Tyler Perry always releases movies during or around Black History Month and they make a huge profit even though they are udder dreck (Temptation).

Almost all of these nu-Christian movies do the same thing box office-wise. Movies like Heaven is For Real does okay because it was released around Easter while God Is Not Dead does is a rare anomaly that catches on by word of mouth through the church and is in theaters for a long run for an independent movie (4 months) so that it can get a boost in ticket sales around Easter. What's funny is that the distributor for this film and God Is Not Dead is also the distributor for such classics as I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, Kickin' It Old Skool, Postal, and Delgo, along with critically enjoyed movies like the Illusionist and Green Street Hooligans.

I have no problem with Green getting top billing since he is a competent actor, but I just wish it was in a movie that I don't know, where he was the actual main actor in the movie. What I find funny about this after reading that article is that this movie is basically a semi-biographical story of the actor playing the main character, Blake Rayne, and how he became a singer for this promotion, yet even then he still can't be the top billed actor in what is essentially his own story.

Holy shit now this movie has to be done. Also they should do a double live show of it with I'm in Love With a Church Girl starring Ja Rule with executive producer God, seriously.
