This is the most fun I've had at the theater in a long, long time. It was crazy and awesome. I love that Paul, Jason, and Doug loved the insanity too.
Â
Also in the book they all just talk and go home, no fake battle, so this was 4000x better.

I want to know how the rumor that Adam Scott sings the theme song got started haha

Was that Big Bob Pataki?

This episode was so great.
Â
And I totally agree with June. Being calling "babe" by a random guy is worse than being called "bitch". "Babe" is so dismissive. Having someone say "My favorite song is I Got You Babe" to me, however. Truly the greatest offense of all.

Mes amis, mes ennemis:
Â
Pensez-vous that your terrible slurs could pass unnoticed by Depardieu? Do you not know that Depardieu has his fingers in les tartes transatlantiques? Did you not know that word of your perfidy would reach Depardieu in his castle on the cliffs d’Avignon, as sure as the vibration of the struggling fly attracts the attention of the terrible spider?
Â
I am filled with rage, and brie, and une drôle du p'tit bouteille du Chateauneuf LaFitte ’78. Votre challenge est accepté, mes grands: I now consider the gants des enfants to be cast to the ground. When next you see Depardieu, I shall not be the figure of jollity and comical bemusement you know from your Green Card, but the Depardieu of cold, calculating fury of Un Pur Formalité!
Â
Do you feel it, Monsieur le Aukermain? Do you feel a cold chill down your spine? Do you feel the clammy hand of Le Mort falling upon your épaule? Do you feel your own fate winging its way across the Atlantic, slurring its words and groping at flight attendants?
Â
The eye of Depardieu has fallen upon you, Monsieur le Achemont! Pistols at dawn, sir! Choose your second, and I shall you see you upon the fields of glory!
Â
Au revoir, M. le Okkerham! Au revoir pour maintenant, et bientôt... pour toujours!
Â
Eh putain, M. Depardieu. Allez uriner dans un autre avion.

Surprised Dame Sir ALW didn't suggest a musical version of Angels in America, maybe a catchy, emotional romp about how AIDS affects the lives of a group of New Yorkers, maybe taking place over 525,600 minutes.

love this podcast, love this trainwreck of a movie (but mostly the weird emo disco peter parker scenes). i wish kulap could be on every podcast ever, because her laugh is so infectious.

I'm in a city in France where it rains constantly, which is definitely a summah obstacle.
Â
Thank goodness for Who Charted and Howard, who constantly remind me I need to have a summah anyway.

Very likely. As newcomers enter into the world of CBB and begin to figure out the show, I'm reminded of the first few episodes I listened to and why I love this podcast so much. Veteran listeners sometimes forget what it's like to spend a significant part of each show getting a feel for the pace and format of CBB, or learning the nuances of unfamiliar characters. After a few listens, you begin to feel more a part of the club.
Â
The first one I listened to was the Amy Poehler/Adam Pally as David Fein one, and I could not understand for the life of me why this random comedian was being interviewed together with Amy. I felt so stupid once I realized what was happening, but yeah. It takes a little while depending on which episode you start with.
