To my knowledge, Harris Wittels is the only person who has attempted this feat on-air (Farts and Procreation 2). He failed.

  2. Dear Mr. Aukerman,

Please bring back plane breaks. That is all.

    Sincerely,

    The Undersigned

P.S. Also, think about bringing back Lil' Gary. But the plane breaks are more important.

  4. In a way my character was one of Dewey's biggest straightmen. Really the whole band was. Parody is a unique animal, because the thing that is being parodied is the straight man. That's why you can't really parody a comedy.

Mr. Besser, if you made a podcast where all you do is say things like the thing you just said, that podcast would thereafter supersede all audio in my life. I love learning about the science of comedy, and I feel like you're one of the most qualified people alive to delve into the subject.

  5. The difference between Chris Gore's "fucking with people" and Matt Besser's thing with the sketch artist is Besser's is funny, nice-spirited, and clearly a complete joke that is intended to be laughed at by the receiver (I'm very surprised the guy didn't immediately get it); Chris Gore's stuff is mean-spirited, simple, and unfunny. Between the end of this episode and this week's Who Charted, this guy went from being off my radar to being one of my least favorite people in the world.

Other than Chris Gore, this episode was stellar. Chris, follow your namesake and go make an acclaimed documentary. Or get gored. Either one.
