  1. I do enjoy criticizing people etc, but I think the thing to keep in mind here is that these people are often Scott's personal friends, they all come on the show for free and most of them are not rich or even upper middle class, so they're doing us all a favour by schlepping out to the studio to entertain us for free, meanwhile the show is probably a lot of work for Scott to organize (especially twice a week) and he probably doesn't make a ton of money off of it either, so these criticisms are probably really frustrating to him,
  2. Speaking of commercial readin - about that midroll survey (which I did fill out) - in general I loathe commercials, but I don't mind them in CBB for two reasons - 1, they tend to be actually useful things, like stamps.com and legalzoom - and also Scott's readings are always hilarious. So even when it's for just a consumer product that I don't think has any particular social value or whatever, I still don't mind listening to them. I've been listening to old episodes where they used to have pre-recorded (i.e. not read by Scott Aukerman) soft drink commercials, and they were completely obnoxious, so glad the dropped those. Also I was remarking before that Marissa Wompler acts too much like a 35 year old - I'm listening to episode 154 right now, and it's way better in that respect, she just seems like aprecocious eternal 15 year old. Maybe because the other guest (Lennon Parham) is playing her teacher so there are no 80s references! Haha, I just saw scott put his foot down on the medical thing!
  3. Hahaha, when I was listening I was thinking the opposite "holy shit, I'm so glad I don't have to see the video of this!"
  4. haha - I agree that this wasn't the best James Adomian character - I think he's a genius, and it's rare that one of his characters doesn't shine, but this is one of those rare times. I'd like to see Todd in another show with scott and maybe Bob Ducca, family mess! About Nick Thune's doctor - holy shit, I forgot about that part. I think it's fine to be skeptical of western doctors, but you should also be skeptical of naturopaths or "natural doctors" which is a term I've never even heard before. Thune seemed so completely credulous about the parasites diagnosis, which does really smack of being a scam - everyone's got them, in the brain too? Somehow this has eluded western medicine? Maybe, but you'd think he'd have interrogated the doctor a bit as to how he knows it's parasites, how the treatment works, why MD docs wouldn't notice it etc, and my impression is that he seemed reaaaaly credulous about all of it!
  5. I agree that she's really funny, and I'm probably the only one who feels this way (whiich is why I feel OK making this criticism, cause she's super popular) but she knows every 80s reference, she knows too much about the work world, politics, sex, etc. so she has the right attitude, and is a quick funny thinker, but there's no effort at being a teenager, and that drives me nuts, especially because the character is otherwise really funny. Or, she could make jokes about knowing all these things, which would make it funny in a diffrent way. But anyways, I'm the only person who feels that way, but I think the character would be ten times better with a teeny bit of research. Just find what teen girls watch and read or say Every word that came out of Lapkus' mouth could have come out of a real teenage boy's mouth, she obviosuly must have been hanging oit with one, and to me that's why Todd was a good character To whoever said he was annoying - I think that was the point! She nailed the teen boy thing
  6. Holy crap, just heard the last part, and you're right, it is disturbing - I think this episode is technically illegal, you may need to move your servers to the ship where pirate bay is... But yeah, thumbs up for Lapkus, she killed it this time. Speaking of Wompler, she should do what Lapkus obviously did and hang out with a 16 year old for a couple of hours to really sharpen her character - wompler is funny, but obviously 30 something!
  7. Haha, Lapkus' character is right on!

    Cracked Out CD/mp3s?

Hey wait - there must be another Cracked Out CD - listen to Episode 43 of CBB where scott only plays cracked out songs because his hard drive with all his music had crashed - that's the stuff I was looking for - anyone know what it's called? The Fleetwood Crack one has better production, but the other songs are funnier from what I can tell so far - in particular I'm looking for the song about ninjas - I think it's "ninjas on crack" it's at about 16m on episdoe 43

    Cracked Out CD/mp3s?

Does anyone know where I can find the Cracked Out CD that Brett Gelman and Jon Daly put out a couple of years ago? I think it was called Fleetwood Crack. Scott mentioned having a CD on episode 43 (great episode btw) but I can't find it anywhere, including iTunes, Earwolf store, as well as more nefarious website. Apparently it used to be available on something called MySpace, but not longer. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks

    Cracked Out CD/mp3s?

Awesome, thanks!! I weirdly didn't get notified of your response - glad I checked! Gotta thank you again so much Colin! btw - do you know why they took it down? And is it the only think they released? I hear a Kool Keith influence going on...

    Episode 201 — End Scene

There you go, introduced to another show thanks to CBB - never heard of Delocated before - and not only does it have Glaser but also Jerry Minor, Eugene Mirman and Jeanane Garofalo, can't wait to check it out. Actually it's thanks to CBB that I gave Parks and Recreation another go - I saw the first few episodes and thought "why is this garbage so popular??" and then after hearing Wittels' foam corner, and then those farts and procreation episodes, I knew I must be missing something, and now it's one of my favourite ever shows (it becomes awesome starting with season 2 episode 12 fyi)...

    Episode 43 — Good One!

Hey - does anyone know where one can find the Cracked Out CD scott is playing on this episode? Definitely Brett Gelman in there. Ah according to google Jon Daly is the other guy! Can't find it on iTunes or the rest of the internets... The bass playing is awful, but it's otherwise hilarious... Scott's stalker x is hilarious btw
  13. Ha thanks, I'm hoping for mustard myself - but I don't think they've done Jukebox Jury for more than a year, so I think it's done... New Brunswick? J'aime le Chiac, me!
  14. https://soundcloud.c...our-window-doog A heartfelt homage to Dougie Howser MD, by none other than Vincenzo del Pino, as written and performed by my pal Tony Ezzy. Do they even do Jukebox Jury anymore? I posted this a long time ago, but after listening to more episodes, realized I should cut off the long intro.

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Here here - I was just thinking the same thing. I'm listening to the episode with him as the American Apparel dude - amazing as always. It's crazy that most people don't know who all these people are - and neither did I a few months ago!

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Holy shit - I've listened to 3/4 of the CBB episodes by now, and like 1/4 of those have Ducca, and not only did I not know that, but I don't even remember the name Seth Morris! Time to look up Seth Morris! Thanks ** OK just looked him up - OK that makes sense, I know him from a bunch of TV shows - well, he's brilliant too! Can't believe I heard like 100 episodes with him without realizing he was Ducca... This is what I love about CBB - before I discovered the podcast this past summer, I had never heard of most of the geniuses that regularly appear on the show, minus nick kroll who I knew from the league. My life is seriously enriched!

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

He already has one! http://www.earwolf.com/show/affirmation-nation/ Nice to see people kicking the fan art on this btw!
  18. Hey - what was the Earwolf video this week? The only thing I don't like about the videos is catching them on time...

Episode 193 — What Else? What Else?

btw, just heard the episode with wompler and andy richter, and she was pretty hilarious there... bonerjamz.com...so she's growing on me - but she'd be even funnier with a little reserach

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

is Dalton Wilcox the vampire cowboy guy? I felt like he was struggling with an aussie accent and then gave up

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Hey, is it just me, or was Andy Daly trying to be australian for the first two minutes?

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Wow, thanks for that interview link. That's really sad that it turned out that way, I really wish that the parties would have worked that out. It would have been to everyone's advantage to keep that podcast going, those guys are really amazing, it's a real waste for it just to be over like that. I bet it would have attracted a lot of people to Earwolf, and would also have introduced a lot of people to the CYberthug crew, I guess after that Jerry Minor and Miles didn't have the same enthusiasm to be guests on the show either. Jerry did an episode as himself and it was great too.

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Haha, that's funny, I don't remember that about previous episodes, but even in this episode it felt like Scott and Mantzoukas were pushing Daly right off the bat with ridiculous questions and suggestions before he even had a chance to breathe - I remember feeling a bit bad for him, like "how the fuck is he supposed to deal with all this nonsense when he hasn't even established his character yet" but it really worked, he came out on top! Even before Daly got on, just Scott and Mantzoukas just being dorks talking about nothing was already really really funny, I could have listened to a whole episode of just that Daly is one of my very favourites - I think I've listened to every episode with him by now, and he's always amazing. Speaking of favourites, what happened to Jerry Minor and Cyberthug? That guy is fucking hilarious. I've seen him in various TV roles, but they never give him a role where he can really show his stuff, on CBB he's amazing either as him self of cyberthug. How come he hasn't been on the show since like 2010?

Episode 200 — Halfway To China

Holy shit that was one of the funniest episodes ever. Andy Daly is a fucking genius
  25. Ahaha, just got around to watching the Amy Phillips/Ron Sexsmith et al episode, and Amy is dressed like Sarah! Extra entertainment points *** finished watching - something I noticed in the video that I didn't notice in the audio - Ron Sexmith looks miserable! He was a great guest, and surprisingly funny - but he looked sad! Does he always look like that, or was it because he only got to play one song? I had the impression he was going to play a couple, and my mind put that together with his apparent misery, but maybe he's just like that! Anyone know the hot CBB gossip on this?
