    My point stands. You and some others might not like the musical episodes, but a lot of people do like them and regularly post that they like them. That's why your original statement is flawed. You used the phrase "Music episodes asks a lot of the listener and never what people want honestly". That's a very general statement - and empirically not true based on posts in this forum and in this very thread.

    Okay, I was so ready for this album to be terrible - but upon first listen... I like it a lot! Much, much better than the last two records in my opinion. And oddly - they didn't go with a radical shift like I think most people expected. It feels quite like what they were going for on the last two records - but this time it's a fully formed vision, not half-baked. It seems like each song has its own vibe, with unifying thematic and musical elements tying it together in a much more successful way than on How to Dismantle and No Line. I cannot wait to hear Adam Scott Aukerman re-form from the cosmos to break this sucker down track-by-track. (PS - Apple could have thrown in some fucking t-shirts)

    Stand-out track for me so far is 'Sleep Like a Baby Tonight'. Unsettling subject matter, but it's actually kind of powerful without being TOO pretentious.

    It seems pretty obvious to me that it's being done on purpose, to build up excitement for the podcast when it drops out of nowhere. Adam even commented on the Apple Watch - it's definitely the two of them dicking around with us.
