Been awhile since Hamm's been on. He's always a solid guest. Kroll is one of the go-to character comedians who can be relied on to make the show hilarious. He's up there with Adomian, PFT, Andy Daly. Can't wait to hear this one.

I know, but it brings a new level to acting in a shit movie when you have to say your lines to a tennis ball on a stick and prentend that it is a sentient being.

Before Paulie Shore's Son-in-Law, there was Rhinestone. Stallone at his Stalloniest and Dolly Parton at her Dolly Partonist. Stallone is a cab driver who hates country music "worse than liver."

Just seen pieces of this, but even on that alone I think this is ripe material for the HDTGM panel.

Yeah, IMDB is chock full of James Wood's over-the-top tough guy talk in this movie.

I feel so bad for Gabriel Byrne when I watch this movie.

Did we ever get to figure out what the color of night is? Is it black? It's black, right?

Such a horrible plot, I don;t even remember why they were being chased.

A few years ago, John Mayer tried his hand at stand-up. Maybe he and Adrien Brody could tour together as The Douche-Bags of Comedy.

Doesn't surprise me that Brody would do this movie. He was banned from SNL for doing unapproved improv wearing fake dreadlocks to introduce reggae artist Sean Paul.

Loved this episode. My favorite throwaway line was, after Wengert's character lost WYR, he said, "It's like grape-gina all over again."

and that older dude was the director himself, John Carpenter, who scored all his movies. And yes, it was all bad synthesizer stuff. The score to Halloween worked, but besides that ...

I heard a some point that the old ghostbusters will be serving in (lesser) mentor roles to a new generation of ghostbusters. Either way, it's a hot mess that has been in Development Hell for a long time.

I answer your question with another: Did he make another Blues Brother movie without John Belushi?

Episode 28 — Nameless Protagonist
CPiz replied to admin's topic in Nocturnal Emotions with Har Mar Superstar
Great choice of guest and great episode. Plus, I loved Har Mar's dead-on Crispin Glover impression. The River's Edge is one of my favorite movies. -
Found out this tidbit: The film's animators were never given a screenplay. Makes a lot of sense actually.

"`Color of Night' approaches badness from so many directions that one really must admire its imagination. ... By the end ... I was, frankly, stupefied. To call it absurd would be missing the point, since any shred of credibility was obviously the first thing thrown overboard. ... It's so lurid in its melodrama and so goofy in its plotting that with just a bit more trouble it could have been a comedy." --Roger Ebert

I agree that Coneheads wasn't great, but there's not enough craziness for a HDTGM ep. Plus, the image of Chris Farley sweating with those conehead sex rings on his head still makes me laugh to this day.

True, but it's a moot point because Ghostbusters 2 already happened. That was horrible enought. A third movie would just be a denoument of shittiness.

(paraphased) "Wow, Howard, You're really kissing the ring" "Yeah, Sphincter ring."

CDR/CBB ep39 and ep51 (list of ailments) are essential Ducca listening.

Can't wait to listen to this one. It looks like they had a great time. I skip the video and wait for the audio to listen to these on my way to work. Then if it sounds like there's something I might like to see, I go back and watch the archived video. Like when Andy Daly, Scott & Jason were cracking up at the end of Halfway to China. THAT, I had to see.

You hit the nail on the had with that pic, Seanatron, as far as one of the many reasons this movie is next-level bonkers. Plus all the sexy sexiness that goes on, a murder attempt involving a poisonous snake, and selective color blindness. I tried to find the script to pull some choice quotes to post here, but to no avail. I really think the guys would have fun with this one, though.
