Merry Christmas everyone! For me, today's a fun day to look back on my fondest memories of the show. Like the time I convinced Paul F. Tompkins to record a personal voicemail message for Valerie Bryant on the air! I knew she was a fan of his and thought she'd think it was a fun surprise. Haven't listened to her songs yet but I'm sure they'll be a treat too. Anyway, hoping you're having as great a Christmas as I am, where everyone likes you and thinks you're good! -

Greetings, listeners (fake alien voice)! Important news: Bryant Husskey of TV and movies has asked us to do a dramatic reading with him of one of the many scripts he has in the pipeline right now. He didn't want to choose which one, though, because his scripts are like his kids except they make more money and they're funnier. So you guys get to decide. Give us a name for a script of Bryant's you would like us to do the dramatic reading of, and we will perform whichever suggestion is, as they say in the Twitterverse, our "fave." -

Narnold. Jesus. Who hurt you, buddy? We love everyone. "Best fans on the interwebz," Sean says all the time (he calls the internet the "interwebz" ever since he saw it like that on Vulture). Only one we don't love is Chanson, just cuz he's a fake account we set up so we could comment on our own show. -

Hey Holly Dollys! We're recording an interview seg with Donny Glover, star of The Mystery Boys, Community Chest, and recently revealed as the hip hop star Childish Branzino. Any questions for him should go here in this thread. Also someone is terrorizing our iTunes page with fraudulent "1" ratings when they actually really liked the show so go fix that. -

Hey HandbookHeads -- tomorrow (Thursday) we are recording our third episode with Aaron Pally from The Happyenders. Do you guys have any questions for him? Not sure what else he has been in but I think he does a lot of that weird adult's swim stuff. Not for us, but I guess they're not trying to be, right? Anyway, it's okay if you just don't have any questions. We will try to ask him why there's no sports on tv but he may not know. -
Hey guys. Wanted to clarify my comment about it being the second-to-last episode of the reality SHOW show. I said that because: it was! But we're going to do a new show instead. Here's the story: a couple weeks ago, we got a (conference) call from Jeff Ulrich and Scott Anchorman. It turns out they had been listening to the raw feeds from our records, where before the show Sean and I dish on Hollywood from an insider's perspective and offer whichever engineer is working that day tips on how to survive this crazy business. Jeff and Scott found themselves using our insights in their own struggles with the entertainment industry, so they called to ask us if they could release those conversations as a separate podcast. We went back and forth a few times but once we settled on the numbers, we agreed to do a new podcast focusing on Sean's and my success in the Hollywood business sphere, and reaching down to help others get to where we and our famous guests have gotten. We think it will be a great show, but also a GOOD show, you know? And hopefully it will help us avoid the issue of everyone hating reality television. After this Tuesday's final episode of RSS, we'll debut the new one very soon, and we would really appreciate if you guys brought your listening and forum-posting business there. Sorry if you only listened to us because of the reality show discussions. Can't say what the money was or the number of figu7es but I don't think you'd have turned it down. We will still talk about reality shows on the forums if you want. And thank you! We really appreciate everything.

Thanks for helping us reach Hot status, everyone. We just got a call from Jeff Ulrich to congratulate us and to let us know about another forum topic status nobody knows about. He calls it En Fuego status, and he wouldn't say what it involves, just that it would mean "big changes" if it happened. All I know is En Fuego status is activated if a post gets 32 comments, the most ever. You guys have always been straight with us so I thought you should know. Thanks again.

A lot of you were probably expecting a show this Tuesday, because we said we'd take seven weeks off and it's only been eight weeks. But we're sorry to report that Earwolf brass cancelled the record this weekend, so we had to push it to next Saturday. Apparently Jeff Ulrich "saw how it went down in Egypt" and was worried Americans would revolt on Independence Day against "one-percenters like me and my friends," so he locked himself in the studio with his wife and his favorite kid. Far as we know he's still there, taking calls for a show he calls "Jeff Ulrich's American Dreamcast." But hey: it looks like there are some cool Earwolf up-and-comers to hold you over until the alpha dogs get back, right? That thing about Marc Maron's cats, that looks good! And I guess the guy with the weird eye from Wayne's World 2 has a show now? I'd check that out! Anyway, we'll be back next week with a fun guest for sure.

brett how's your other thing going? "project escape pod" or whatever you call it.

I'm checking with a source, but I think it's one percent. I know Wikipedia says five. Also I got some Copa di Vino as a wedding party favor this weekend. Okay, bye!

Sean and I have been sitting together trying to come to grips with this comment for...wow, almost two days now. Time moves a little faster when you haven't slept. I guess we should have known we'd get criticism like this when we signed up for a podcast. The Internet is a cold place, they told us. People put things on a message board they'd never say to a human face. Maybe we just didn't want to believe anybody could be so cruel. But as much as we considered giving everything up in the face of this comment, we've decided to go ahead with another live show this Saturday. It's at 11 Pacific/2 Eastern again. Listen at earwolf.com/radio, call in at 347-514-WOLF. Call about reality shows or whatever else. To be honest, we could use a little cheering up. And to Erika Thompson...we're sorry you feel that way.

We are doing our first live show this Saturday. 11 AM Pacific, 2 PM Eastern. You can listen on Earwolf Radio through this website and call in at 347-514-WOLF. WHO will call us? Will it be Valerie Bryant? Andy Kneis? BroccoliRob? Hunter? Lukas Holmes? OliverG? Chalkdust? The Narnoid? Once a guy named Laserbuns posted on here. He seemed all right. Maybe he'll call. Anyway, just call the number and listen to eight ads for Earwolf calendars and then you're on the show. Would be awesome to finally find out if the impressions Sean and I do of you when we read the comments out loud are accurate!

Hey guys. Just checking in from Sean's room at the hospital. He realized that Jason Bateman actually was in Couples Retreat after he corrected me on it and tried to commit ritual hara-kiri with a baseball bat. The bat actually did get partially into his stomach but right now it seems like he's out of the woods. Thanks for your concern everyone!

This isn't my idea but I believe it deserves to be seen/considered/MADE!

Chalkdust: thanks for this. We consider your pitch on tomorrow's show. Just please remember that if we like it, we will use our private discretionary fund to produce it, but you will not receive credit.- 1 reply
