I saw this theaters, there must have only been 5 theaters total playing this NC-17 movie. I never really felt like i undestood the story or theme of the movie unlike most Cronenberg movies like Videodrome or ExistenZ. But i do have a lot of respect for Cronenberg regardless. Did anyone see the movie his son directed, Antiviral? Definitely felt like he is following his dad's footsteps.

Wait till you see the movie. Just like Sleepaway camp this spawned 3 sequels that i never knew existed until I checked the wikipedia last week. -
I think this movie satiates the audience it was made for, children.

I will buy a shirt if Paul will model all the sizes, specially extra small. Cool design, i will have to pick one up.

The search function does not work, it requires at least four words and most movie titles are less than that. Can the search criteria be adjusted? -

Now that I know this cartoon movie exists all I can say is, "WTF!" -
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

You know why Sean Connery agreed to be in this movie, a movie he did not understand? It was because he was offered a part in The Matrix but turned it down because he did not understand it. Then he was offered a part in Lord of the Rings and again because he did not understand it he declined. Seeing how successful both of those were he agreed to this movie he again did not understand. Bad move Connery. -
It has been a long time but i do not remember any similarities between Dead Ringers and The Prestige.

Not bad enough for HDTGM.

I loved this comic book and i think that is the only reason i did not hate this movie. Don't forget it also has Donald Sutherland in it. Isn't their also a baldwin in it? I love how silly the ending is with the one guy who escapes, it felt like a cartoon.

That is how is should be, remake bad movies that can easily be made better. Instead of remaking good movies that are very hard to improve upon.

How did anyone see this movie, was it actually released theatrically. I collected the GPK cards as a kid and remember seeing one poster saying a movie was coming and then nothing. Somehow i saw it a few years later on VHS so it was either direct to video or released very limited after a long delay. I bet this movie is a steaming pile that would be perfect for HDTGM.

While George Wendt was in House 1, Cliff Clavin was in House 2. But the first also has Bull from Night court. The first definitely has an entertainment value the second was missing.

I enjoyed this movie and Guy Pearce is perfect as the bravado fueled good guy. Will this movie stand the test of time, no way, but it was not a bad movie to watch, it was downright entertaining. Yes it had plot holes and could be ripped apart but still enjoyable to watch.

I am the same age as paul Scheer and I too saw this in theaters. Should be an entertaining episode that I cannot wait for!

This movie has a score of 1 on Metacritic with 4 reviews, http://www.metacritic.com/movie/inappropriate-comedy But the funny thing is all the reviews so far are a 0.

Videodrome and eXistenZ are my favorite Cronenberg movies. eXistenZ is definitely a B grade movie with its budget but the concept is so good and made Inception feel like a clone.

I also liked this movie, but i don't remember any of the stuff you wrote about. I have not seen it in 20 years or more.
-
Totally agreed. In fact i wrote it off until The Film Vault reviewers both liked it enough. I watched it and was surprised that it was indeed better than it looked.
-
Wow, i wanted to see this movie before but your take on it makes me more eager to see it.

The HDTGM review would not beat the Red Letter Media video review so why do it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x1YuvUQFJ0 "why did those two broads run in a straight line when the circle ship was rolling towards them?" I laugh everytime i listen to this review. BTW it is NSFW due to cuss words.

Check out the "Yeah Its That Bad" review of Number 23. I love it when movies like this are reviewed. I still get to appease my small interest in a story i never should see and the podcast is entertaining.

The soundtrack in this movie is great. "remember when I said I would kill you last?" "I lied!"
