Only got maybe 20 minutes in but this feels like a Hall-of-famer, definitely wouldn't have been bummed if my morning commute was slower

Episode 401 - LOVE Is Thicker Than Water
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
That sounds like fun, how was it? I dont tune in all the time, but I find that when I cherrypick for guests that I like @midnight is usually pretty good -

Episode 66 - Mary Holland, Erin Whitehead, Stephanie Allynne: The Room Podcast LIVE from RIOT LA
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
I hope this was presented as a reference to It's Always Sunny, because I think it's a direct quote -
I'm hoping for more singing of awful/great 80s songs than showtunes next time side note: Can I still call them 'showtunes' if they're Hamilton nerd-rap? technically still a tune from a show...

Episode 1802 - Richard Kind
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
So weird, I was just listening to the Craig Bierko episode from a couple of years ago, where he mentions being close friends with Richard Kind and that Jimmy should have him on the show. I have high hopes for this, Kind has always been one of those people that even when he's in something that I'm rolling my eyes at, he makes me laugh with his absurdity and bickering -
Episode 401 - LOVE Is Thicker Than Water

This felt like a twilight zone episode to me when no one in the room knew what Paul was talking about. I had a friend in the era right after this song was big who was in love with it, a fobby asian kid who loved to sing lovey songs like that and Maroon 5 in broken English. He was so obsessed with this song that his AIM name, (yes I will date myself that much) was his initials with 'SheLikeMeForMe' afterwards. Our circle of friends still get laughs out of that a solid decade later -

I was watching Bill Maher over the weekend and the New No-nos came into my head and made me literally LOL. I didn't even expect a new bit of new nonos on Monday morning when I saw the lineup, so when it happened, I looked myself in the mirror, flipped down my sunglasses and said, "I could get used to this" -
Might just want to keep your eyes on stubhub then, I can't see anyone spending more than face value for this let alone THAT much more, unless they're obscenely rich and really lazy

well Suze Orman wouldn't approve your buying of tickets but she wouldn't for me either, we're in that second row of tables. I hope they keep the reverb in check If I understand that ticket info right, I'm at table 8
-
Me too, will be my first time sitting at the tables near the front of the Wilbur, can't wait!

So it's double down, every time

Boston show at the Wilbur update CBB-heads, I've gotten their email and the code is CC10 http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0100504421247667?brand=thewilbur&camefrom=cfc_boswilbr_website

I would say yes, as Andy Daly who plays Hot Dog is one of the best improvisers and his characters almost always bring me laughs whether its from prepared bits in character or just how he rolls with what scott and the other guest give him. I can recall dying laughing on a previous hot dog ep that I want to say had Ben Schwartz, and they were doing the "Dip diddip dip BOOOWWWWWWWW" over and over again
-
Just going off of experience buying presale tickets to the Wilbur, you'll want to get on their email list, they send an email and in the header it will usually say something like "All Pre-sale codes: UC", and you just enter that as you try to buy. Other than that email that goes out daily or every few days, I have no idea where you would get it. I can try to come back tomorrow and update with the actual code if you're still struggling

It took me awhile to get to the bernie and Trump material and oh man that was amazing. James was just fine but this Anthony guy blew him out of the water in my eyes. I hadn't heard his Trump before, and I guess I wasn't expecting much because everyone does a Trump, but good god that was dead on and hilarious. I think what makes his Trump so good is that he speaks like Trump, but he isn't relying on the same 5 phrases over and over again like the average Trump impression does. I have probably listened to the bernie and trump sections 5 times already this past weekend, excellent episode and definitely in my top 10. It managed to fit in so much of what I find hilarious about CBB, had insane charac guests and an old comedy name trolling the show with his old TV references

I randomly listened to some of this one the other day and caught that part, I enjoy when Scott makes his little mysterious references to previous/future episodes that are already in the can

Episode 14 — Staind Glass
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Ok that is an amazing idea, really it should be an episode they record at the party I have been wondering why in the hell Scott hasn't had Todd and Adam in for an episode of CBB -

Why am I listening to this again!? I'm going to see Oh Hello in Boston tonight, so I should be listening to George and Gil, but here I am on probably my 15th listening of the first half of this podcast -

Episode 14 — Staind Glass
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I keep on having this thought that somehow someway, there were VPN cameras in the studio that day, and someday we will get a video version of Staind Glass. This is likely the funniest earwolf podcast ever recorded, so I'm glad they're front page featuring it, but they need to have some sort of attention getting writing on the banner that says "IF YOU HAVENT LISTENED TO THIS PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR" I recently watched "Sleeping With Other People" which had Adam Scott in a strange serious/creepy role, in one of his first scenes he says "It's Been Awhile" and in my head I thought he must have gotten a chuckle or two out of that line or just did one take where he gave it that trademark flourish -
Episode 1724 - David Steinberg
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Did anyone else go to join the player's club and find that it was charging them $0.99 instead of $50 or $100 if you're a multitool? I can't do it until I know for sure that the price will stick, but obviously I'm going to donate them the rest of cash if it does. Those $1 bets aren't going to pay for themselves -
Well Tom Green, all I can say is... "that IS wild!"

Why would Nate give any respect to Ninja Warrior? they don't even make millions of dollars or let the competitors smash each other's brains, its like yaaaawn, can I see some "real" competition please??

I agree with Kulap's talk of "why dont the earwolf hosts get more face time?". I'm assuming schedules are just very different but it would be a lot of fun if there was more crossover, maybe some pop-ins or something like that. I've thought that they could possible try to pitch a TV pilot of basically "Earwolf: The Show", where the pod-hosts are characters, featuring Curb-esque plots. They've got a few actual names they could maybe throw around with the HDTGM crew
