I died in my car on this too, I got into deep thought about how exactly that came about. Did someone physically make that sound effect, did the engineer cody cody make that sound effect? How was it decided that scotty got his finger right in there?

I literally get excited when I wake up on a Monday and see the names Kroll & Mulaney on a CBB pidcast, because George and Gil LOOOOOVE pidcasting and shitform comedy Granted I am a Jew by birth, and some of my affinity for George and Gil may be due to that, but my friends who are podcast heads are not so Jewy and the Oh Hello love seems to be universal among that group I'm partial to both Kroll and Mulaney anyways, but these two are some of my favorite characs to ever appear on the show

EPISODE 56 - Wayne Federman: Sister Oh, Brother!
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Wow I guess there WERE a few podcasts that Wayne didn't do a month ago He's hosting this new season of Serial right? -
Episode 1718 - Dave Holmes
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
So are we not going to throw around guesses at to who likes to throw a sport coat over their lap at Saving Private Ryan and slap some cups? I was sitting in my car thinking it sounded very Kevin Spacey-ish. He definitely has gay rumors circling him all the time, he's funny, and he seems like the type of celebrity that might do something like that just to get off on the fact that he knows the assistant wont object Dave Holmes definitely gave me a wtf moment when they were discussing Kojak. I don't pay for cable but I have an HD antenna so I get a dozen weird channels, and the other night Kojak was on so I let it play, and it was on MeTV which I thought was Boston local, so Dave asking "What do you watch this on just like MeTV?" freaked me out -
Haha I just finally voted officially and after reading a few comments near the top I had to do a quick Ctrl+F to study that master's course in psychosis I admit that early on in the be my guest episode I was a little annoyed at the guy, mostly over jealousy, but he wasnt much of a detraction and the episode was great. The guy even goes into how he feels that CBB has too many white people, but beyond that he hates them because he feels he knows that they grew up priveleged, and acts as though Abelson was gifted a path to being a stock broker... even people with a silver spoon have to put in the work, not get addicted to drugs, and not grow up an asshole. anyways, I agree that people should go read that stuff, my votes were: Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth Too Much Tuna Tour A Silicon Valley P-Cast Solo Bolo: Dos Lo Heynong Man TofuPeople Bongo vs Bongos Kitchen Stand-Up then I had like 10 left on my list but only 2 spots left, went with Romantic Tommy D Wompler's REAL 17th Bday

yeah me too, and I hope there will be guests that will be there the whole time. For instance, if they have on a Scotty Too Hottie, a Mantzoukas, or really anyone that they are good friends with and have a rapport with, as long as the guest has the time, they should sit in. It only makes it more enjoyable for the majority of chartists I'd guess

No I meant the topic of "The Wiz", I believe in the early goings someone mentioned it and the other one was like "well we already talked about it", and then when Emily was on they talked about it briefly with her. I may be remembering it wrong but that was the topic that revealed it to me, not the ChiPli, I remember that talk from last week because it made me cringe like a motherfucker since I've had severe achilles tendinitis before

The beginning of this one felt like old WhoCh, Howie is saying weird stuff and Ku and Stard are enjoying the hell out of it, it was distracting hearing that proof that the show is aired out of order. Does it make a big difference? I feel like it would just make sense to play it in chronological order. I'm loving the fact that the Earwolf Xmas party is space themed, definitely thinking that its a big conspiracy. Like, they announce that its space themed to be absolutely sure Howard doesn't come, and then they have a surprise that the mmmmmuuusical guest is like the Boss, to really stick it to Howie

EPISODE 56 - Charitable Giving at the Holidays
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Question of the Day
Ugh this is the worst, my company does a huge yankee swap every holiday season and there's a guy who is notorious for bringing in one of these type of gifts To anyone reading, this is one of the worst situations to give a charity gift. You come in and you end up leaving with a big bottle of vodka, or a bluetooth speaker, or a starbucks giftcard, and you have the nerve to give someone in that room the joy of knowing that you got joy out of donating money to a cause. Why not just give the money you'd spend to the charity and not join Yankee Swap? As a side note, the company literally reminds us to donate to worthy causes throughout the year and matches our donations, has a food drive in Nov, a toy drive in Dec, and gives each employee 100$ to donate to the school of their choice once a year. Giving a charity donation as a workplace gift is soooo selfish while trying to be the opposite of selfish its not even funny. -
Episode 327 — Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth!
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yeah this is definitely going in my top 10, I think I have a top 14 now so I need to whittle it down -
Its on the right side of the page, theres just checkboxes and episode titles with guests listed you call yourself an architect and you cant even find the voting!?

Wow so I completely missed the Steve Rannazzissi (I'm sure I spelled that wrong but don't care) reference, and had no idea who 9/11 guy was, but after that, I was supremely pleased that George and Gil talked about hanging out with Bob Durst. Back when I first saw the Jinx I was begging for Kroll and Mulaney to have some material about Bobby D Thanks from a rabid tuna-head

Episode 1717 - The Phone
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
First time hearing a phone show, and man did I love it. Are these common but usually on the player's club feed? I would probably finally join the player's club if I was promised one of these a month. Everyone in the room got some laughs in by the end, even that going poorly was amazing -
So is anyone else thrown off by the fact that since they started the new format, with the new theme song mentioning 'stard (or not if he's not there), he's been there for one episode I can recall... maybe 2? Does he have a new reality show about pod-tech on Seeso taking up his time or something? I didn't think he was also going to be super busy now, but I just want to say that I miss Stard. He's a crucial part of the formula that makes WhoCh great
-
I think Jason Mantzoukas might have that beat or at least matched, it seems he's been on once a month or so lately (which is amazing) and we also learned this year that "Jason Mantzoukas" is a character played by the great actor Jeffrey Characterwheaties

Yeah I havent listened yet but mine showed up when I checked the apple podcast app

HDTGM BONUS: Introducing Bitch Sesh, A Real Housewives Breakdown Show
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
dang it, love casey wilson but I doubt I'll want to listen to this if I avoid shows like that like the plague -
Yeah? Off the top of my head I'd have to say Joe Bongo (not Jimmy Bongos) but I could be wrong

Episode 1715 - Al Jackson
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
God this was such a funny episode, and it wasn't even 7/11 bits that got me laughing. I literally cannot believe that racist thing that happened to Al, and the moment after Matt and Al left for 7/11 and Elliot started talking about his damn keys I realized that this was going to be a classic moment. Please tell me the new T-shirt has something to do with "dull and duller" with cartoons of Garon and Elliot (and Garon clearly has a thought bubble that says "which one am I?") -
EPISODE 387 — Most Multiple Personalities
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I don't so much care for his music either, but he's one hell of a patriot, just like Ted nugent... -
In their defense the reference in Joe Dirt is pretty amazing. I'm not a fan of that movie as a whole, but that scene has really stuck with me
-
Just brought it up to be honest about my opinion. I don't hate Howard's voice, I kind of hate Sean from HH's voice, because it sounds forced and fake, I also dislike Armen quite a bit when he's doing his annoying shtick. Howard's voice to me comes across as genuine, he's odd but doesn't try to speak even weirder. You guys are welcome to have the opinion that my dislike for this person's shtick makes me a sexist, but I'm really not, after all I have friends who are women!
-
Yeah, I love a good Mantzouks "ahhh boy"
-
Really? When did I say anything like this? I'm allowed to have my opinion but its completely unfair and foolish and moronic to just pretend people have points of view that you made up You seem to think that the only way she can try to be funny is by putting on a crazy voice and being so out there, and I think thats incredibly foolish and sexist. Women can be naturally funny and great storytellers just as well as men can be, so why don't you update your point of view. Everyone doesn't have to like everything, except on the earwolf forums, where negative opinons no matter how shared... are never welcome
-
So its sexist because I happen to be highly annoyed with a woman's voice and think that a man in the same room, containing 3 other people, has a weird voice but I don't find it annoying? side note, I think that this particular woman doesn't want to be taken 'seriously' because she seemed set on displaying what a "crazy chick" she is, she's a comedic actress, and what I found annoying about her voice was heightened at certain times and completely not present at others, which tells me its a bit of a character that she enjoys playing. Is it a problem that Howard's voice makes it hard to take him seriously? I guess not, he has a dick
