While I enjoyed Aparna's segment at the beginning with Scott, I don't think she meshed all that well with the weirdo's walking in afterward. I wasn't a huge fan of her WhoCh, but got laughs from her NNF and CBB appearances. I think you have to be in the right mood for her style of delivery to really work, kind of like Tig I hope Ryan Gaul continues to bring the same blustery vagueness to his characters. This guy and his last appearance were some of my favorite in recent memory, so I'm fully on board for him to become more of a regular

He definitely included that in his live rendition in Boston, one of the funnier summah-related moments. Another great "You're out, I didn't say summah says" was something along the lines of "Start a racist political campaign"

anybody else's apple podcast app not showing the new ep?
-
Anybody else find it kind of strange that last weeks ep was recorded during that week and this one was pre-recorded? I thought Howie was back from the East Coast but then when he got a message from mom about his upcoming trip the ruse was revealed Side note: They should give the guest the option to hang around for TwoCh, rather than literally kicking them to the curb, especially when Stard isn't in house because most of the other engineers aren't so chatty

I'd like to hear both performers again, the powerwheels girl charac specifically? not so much, it was great in moments but most of the time it was incredibly grating, but I think she knew that

Please please please remind me what episode it was, I know the title will ring my bell because I literally had to search for that one day when I recalled how much it made me laugh. Even the weird little outburst at the end was great because they timed it out so right when Scott was ready to bail BOOM I haven't finished yet but had to come comment pre-cum-maturely because BQ was so damn funny, he better be a repeat guest Scottyboy

Pretty sure that was a bit, Scotty grew up in Southern Cal dressing up like Bre'r bear at Disney, while Zouks was over in Nahant, MA talkin' tang and porking butts

I wish they made a t-shirt of that, all patriotic like, I'd wear that on the weekend of the 4th of July

I saw Dan already replied above, but I thought I'd point out that this recent trend I think was sparked on the recent Ben Schwartz/Horatio episode, where they were singing Billy Joel songs and Horatio burst in with the line from "Under Pressure" instead of William Joel's "Pressure".

It's weird because I agree with most of your list, but I think Jason HeyNongMantzouks is a legend in the CBB game. He's a sidekick though, different vibe than with a character guest. I just like his rapport with Scott which is usually them bickering and belittling each other, but I get many laughs out of his nitpicking with Scott and his awful jokes.

Sounds right, there definitely was a period of NNF where ASMR was discussed frequently. Probably not as much as a 7-11 sign, but still!
-
Dammit, when they started doing shitty Billy Joel songs I was sure Horatio would bust into Keeping the FAIIIIIIIIIIITH yeah I'm only 25 minutes in so maybe it will still come out, but I need that Step Brothers callback whenever I can get it

Wow, we have very different tastes, sure Gilbert brought it down and I only re-listen to the section with Trump/Bernie, but the laughs per minute in that were off the charts compared to most other episodes. I liken it to the Leykus episode with Poehler and Mantzoukas or the George/Gil episode with Lizzy Caplan

On vacation in europe, hadn't listened to time Bobby ep yet when I saw this lineup pop up when I finally found some wifi.... and needless to say I would have ended the vacation immediately and been happy, let alone when I saw the next lineup was Benny and the Rog sooo much quality podcasting at my eardrumtips right now its sickening

Episode 1816 - Tom Bergeron
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Only halfway in but liking Bergeron a lot more than I expected. Good energy in the room -
Episode 1815 - Kira Soltanovich

I was on board with her criticism, I liked Faris in those scary movies early on, but to me that was more of a self deprecating kind of snark directed her way. I think she understood she was being kind of envious that Faris is somewhat of a household name, and should leave the podcasting to the less known funny people -
Seriously, did I miss it or did Scott never ask him if he watches Entourage or bait him into saying "oh yeah"? Those are the kind of dumb inside jokes that rrreally get me

Episode 285 - Don't Mix Alcohol and Wine
StanSitwell replied to Kevin Bartelt's topic in Who Charted?
Is there a reason that Ryan Gaul hasn't taken over the biz yet? He's very likable, a decent actor, hilarious, I'm a straight man but he seems like he'd be appealing to the women, what's the deal? Does he need to age up a bit to get his Don Draper role? -
Yeah Hines is almost too good at taking off on a tangent, he should probably not even come in with a character plan anymore really, just sit down and start talking
-
I think there is a bit in being overly angry about either the fact that most of scott's guests may be white men, or that they (white male comedians in general) come from wealthy upbringings. I think if you go back and find the thread about voting for the 2015 Best Ofs, you might get a nice crash course in internet insanity with a link in there if its still up

Sad there's no Howie but I like Jensen as a guest, so I'll allow it counselor. I like how Kulap didn't know what to say about RHCP because she couldn't gauge 'stard's opinion on them and acted like they're so pathetic they deserve laughter merely at being mentioned.

Episode 414 - Hollywood Handbook Comedy! (Hollywood Edition)
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I think Hayes is the funny one and Sean is the dead weight -
Episode 420 - Todd Is Too High with Rogue Wave
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Scotty, I love ya, I was there 3 years back when it was a very small ticket price. It felt like the addition of a second show after the first one sold out took a lot of value from that ticket price. Only speaking for myself of course, but I would have gladly had another 30 minutes of laughs over a meet and greet -
Episode 420 - Todd Is Too High with Rogue Wave
StanSitwell replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
How long do they tend to run? Wondering since the first show in Boston on saturday felt wayyyy too short. Will definitely make me reconsider my immediate ticket purchase for the next time they tour, felt like quite the cash grab -

He should have gone for more of a theme, give me Doug Benson, Uncle Stoney, and Bro as the guests and I'd be happier than a hippie rolling in piles of loose grass
