I think a more interesting question than "are women as funny as men" is "do men and women find their own gender funnier than the other?" I'm a guy and I tend to find the all male improv4humans episodes funnier than the half men/half women episodes. Do you think women find female comedians funnier/more relatable than male comedians? It seems likely, but I don't know.
Â
This episode wasn't one of my favs, but it may be because improv5humans is harder to do than improv4humans. Anyway, I didn't know about Wild Horses before this show. I think I'll check them out live.
Â
5 humans? I've only listened to the first 20 minutes of the episode but I was wondering why one of the guests was indiscernible - it was actually two people. Guess I missed something in the intro. Whoops.

this was something truly special. just magic.
-
good fucking episode Scott, Kroll, Slater. good work

Shelby Fero... I'll chalk up everything that made me cringe to her being a youngster. It seems like she's playing dumb some times but then again she never saw Jaws until Analyze Fish. Funny ep. Love that Awky Auky Fam dynamic.Â
I don't play Dungeons and Dragons. I don't care about Dungeons and Dragons. But when she was making fun of Brian's podcast DURING THE COMMERCIAL on Analyze Fish...welp. Not paying any attention to what she has to say. Just a dick thing to do. I don't even care how cool it makes you to pick on nerds!
Â
At least we got two all time best-ofs in three weeks. That's gotta be a record.

dream team. great fucking episode.

best episode of 2014 while voting for 2013 is still happening. I love this goddamn show.

I'll have to check out Put Your Hands Together. Before today I just knew it as the recipient of Doug Benson's constant apologies...
Â
What's this about?

Really incredible episode. Brendon Small is so fucking funny. And James Adomian. Fuck. One of the best improvisors ever.

My favorite scene is with Zach Woods, Charlie Sanders, and Colton Dunn, which ends with Matt as a policeman following Dunn into the woods and a bear demanding that Dunn be arrested ("Ima fuck you with this pole!"). In it, the music is introduced and slowly rises DURING the scene until it hits the end, at which point the vocals peak. The way it times out is just perfect.
Â
A big reason of why I love it (besides the fact that the scene is just fall-over hilarious) is because of the use of the building music underneat the dialogue. It happens rarely, but I really like when they do that; partly because the timing and usage of the songs are great, but also because it kind of prepares me that an awesome closing line or joke is coming up.
Â
For sure. The music fade-in is the best of both worlds.

Ecstasy is almost as much fun as I4H

Listened to every single episode. This was the best one. This one.
-
I'm sorry Scott =(. I genuinely appreciate all that you do.
-
The poster thing was weird. The milk thing was very dismissive. Rarely do you hear a guest do anything but awkwardly come up with ways to support Matt.
Â
EDIT: Matt, we've all heard how you talk to your call-in guests.
Â
The car radio bit, however, was a best of all time scene. Great episode.
-
Â
Are you talking about the episode that is coming up tomorrow? Caught you TimeBobby!
Â
But yeah I agree, Molly was amazing this episode. Dykeula is best developed character I have heard that isn't PFT, Adomian, Andy Daly related. How Dykeula killed a man (Explained at the end) destroyed me.
Â
Thursday's live show had her on it, so presumably that will be the show going up this week.
Â
EDIT: Welp, maybe next week!

Molly Bretthauer's Earwolf debut was great. I always love it when CBB and other shows bring people I didn't know about to my attention. Paul Rust continues to be hilariously demented. Seriously, most comedic performers usually remind me of other comic performers, but there's something unique about Paul Rust. I don't know what it is about that weirdo that makes him so hilarious to me.
Â
And big kudos to Steven Yeun for being totally game with whatever gets thrown at him.
Â
To all the bellyachers: This was a fine Fang Fang, fully worthy of the Fang Fangs that proceeded it.
Â
Check out this week's I4H. Molly is on it, and she's great!

So Scott showed up at Earwolf Studios this time?

so let's go over this one more time to make sure we're all on the same page

I want Andy Daly to be my dad.

Yes! Fucking inexcusable. I'm kind of baffled at how lousy people are at driving on the whole.
Â
It's really fucking infuriating sitting at an intersection waiting to turn and some dipshit doesn't turn his blinker on until it's too late.
-
whoops double post
-
Ohhhhh boy... Some light mockery at the milk drinking quirk is bullying now?
Â
Were you also offended by the Jonestown reference?
Â
Nah, Matt was straight up being a dick. A weird, weird dick.

Â
I thought their reaction to that guy was basically "if it's meant to be a joke I don't find the humor." So I'm not sure how they "fell for" it.
Â
I didn't get that at all from them. They spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where his confusion came from.
-
I just put two-and-two together and realized where I recognized that daddy long legs guy. That's Flula. His Youtube channel is a comedy channel. Y'alls fell for the joke. English is not his native language, and he makes light of that.
-
Matt is spot on with his assessment of how people at large see improv. I mean, I listened to CBB for fucking years and I still wasn't convinced I4H was going to be any good (until I checked out an episode out of curiosity and saw the light).
-
Scott has really incredible musicians on. I think I've become a fan of most of them after their appearances. No exception here.
Â
EDIT: What's up with the Wikipedia page claiming Neko thought Scott was confrontational? It all sounded like good fun to me.
Episode 136 — Hallelujah the Hills
in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Posted
I don't think I've seen Jeff Hiller on any best guests lists, but every single episode he's on he's the highlight (though he had a run for his money with Lauren this episode).
Â
I can't think of a single musical guest on an Earwolf show I flat out didn't like (but that doesn't mean there hasn't been one), and this was no different. I dug them.
Â
I love I4H though rarely have laugh out loud moments. Don't need them to enjoy comedy. This show was a gem, however. Nonstop laughter. This show is fucking free. Thanks Besser.
