You inspired me, made me laugh, made me cry and you always entertained me. I never met you but I loved you like I loved a friend. You were always open and candid. You were funny as hell. Thank you for the countless hours of laughter you've given over the years. I'm mad at you because I'll never be able to hear the hilarious things you would have said in the future. I'm sad because all I have is the hilarious things you've said in the past. I'm happy because I still have all those hilarious things you've said. Rest easy. Wherever you are Harris, I hope it's at a Phish concert that never ends...even though that sounds like the worst thing anyone could ever wish for.

Just echoing what everyone else has said. I think it speaks volumes as to who Harris was as a person that he could make so many people feel grief over his death that has never met him. It felt like he was your best friend every time he showed up on a podcast and was making jokes just for you. He just had that kind of command and power. I can only imagine how hard it is for everyone who actually knew him. He affected so many people I think and this is just such a huge blow for so many people. It's made things easier being able to come to this forum and read how much everyone else has been affected by this and know that I'm not at all alone in how I feel. It's a really special thing to have and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate how open you all are. You're all a truly wonderful group of people that I'm lucky to call "vague internet associates/friends."

By the way, did anyone watch the 40th SNL Anniversary special last night? Overall I thought it was actually pretty good and rather enjoyable but I wish they did more sketches instead of just showing montages and jerking everyone else there off. Really would have liked to see Eddie Murphy come out in his Pluto Nash costume from his most celebrated movie, The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Missed opportunity.
