Episode 401 - LOVE Is Thicker Than Water
AndyTalarzyk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
God Dammit, Gillian Jacobs doesn't get enough credit. Her background jokes that no one noticed were amazing. "What a shocker!" -
Am I the only one who was super excited when Weird Al played Cheese Sandwich on My Little Pony? Or does no one else have a daughter obsessed with MLP? It was a great episode.

Seriously. This movie has to be done. Roger Ebert said it best. Or you can read the review here http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/north-1994

Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)

Can I just bump this, because you can watch the whole thing on youtube, and it qualifies on every level. The montage training scene alone is worth watching. -
Episode 86 β Ernest Goes To Jail
AndyTalarzyk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I have to say, even before listening to this I was upset. Ernest movies were a big part of my childhood and I saw most of them in the theaters. I've never had an issue with any other movie from my childhood being dissected, but this one hit home. I'll go home and watch all of these movies again tonight and enjoy them just as much as when I was a child. On another note, I understand what June was saying. Check out this mofo.- 100 replies

Episode 79 β Deck the Halls: LIVE!
AndyTalarzyk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Just a little thought for Corrections/Omissions. If Matty B's wife's job was to compile recipes into cookbooks, then the curry scene makes sense. She can't just throw recipes willy nilly into a book, she has to try them to see if they're any good. So she made the curry, it sucked, so she made a recipe she was comfortable with, pizza. I feel like that was probably explained at some point but was left on the cutting room floor, but it would have made this scene make way more sense. -
Seriously guys, how did you not mention that for a Primatologist, this guy Peter knows jack shit about primates. Did you forget the scene where they're in the jungle and both he and CIA gal are awoken by jungle noises and they are both freaked out like "what is that noise?" It was Monkeys. Monkeys. Even when confronted by the silverback he's told to be still and he goes "yeah, I've read the books." I think he got an honorary doctorate for his work with teaching a gorilla sign language. I feel like he was really just an ESL teacher for kids that one day started teaching a monkey.

June is pregnant. Thats my prediction.

I'm about 10 minutes in, and I've had to change my pants twice. Different fluids each time. By the way, Bamford's shirt is amazing.

Look guys, I hate to be picky, but can we possibly do longer episodes? I'm the kind of person that sits down and watches and entire series in 2 days, so a week between is killing me.

Forget jumping the shark, now we have riding the shark. From massive amounts of THO to horrible CGI and a bewildering plot, this movie has it all. Streaming on netflix people. Watch it, and go to FYI and vote for it.

No matter how untrue it may be, I take full credit for this episode getting made. -

I haven't listened to the entire episode yet, but who is that chick sitting on the couch in the pictures? Looks vaguely like Natalie Portman. -
Episode 66 β Demolition Man: LIVE!

I know someone mentioned it briefly, but that car really bugged me. Not the future care, the 1970 Oldsmobile 442. It wasn't only how they get it underground, and then to street level, my problem is that there is no way that car would be running. You are talking about a world where I'm pretty sure all of the cars are electric, so where do they get enough gas to fuel a car that gets maybe 8 miles a gallon? They can't store it, because gasoline isn't viable after it sits for 30 years. Also, who is maintaining that car? Where are they getting replacement parts? Who is changing fluids and finding tires that fucking fit the rims? You obviously can't be driving it around, so how is it possibly in good enough condition to just start er up and get to driving? On another note, if there was a massive earthquake in 2010 that killed a ton of people and I am assuming caused massive damage to buildings, wouldn't the cryo jail have been damaged, possibly resulting in the premature unfreezing, and subsequent death, of all of the prisoners? Are we to believe that the cryo prison came through completely unscathed?
