Full disclosure, I actually didn't really love August Lindt the first time on CBB. Holy crap, Werner Herzog (my favorite PFT character), Pope Benedict (my fav Besser), HR Giger? What an awesome show!!!! "New Papa gives us rock salt!"

Oh my god, I watched this on Netflix today. It's your classic Romanian-American "boy brings statue to life, and it transforms into a rubber suited Godzilla-like creature" story. He starts out looking like a mix between the baby from Dinosaurs! and a turd. When he eats metal, he grows bigger and stronger. Best part: Galgy transforms into a new, bigger rubber suit every few scenes. I cracked up every time, since the effects and suits were so bad. This movie is perfect for the gang. It's on both Netflix streaming and Youtube, so no whining about paying movie theater admission!

Oh man, 14 year old me LOVED that Punisher movie. I'm afraid to watch it now, though!!!

How about Sir Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz inventing calculus at the same time in different countries??? Instead, we get 20 minutes on wack-ass harry potter.

As a physics teacher, the non-bouncing basketball non-parachute invention really bothered me. All of the other physics portrayed were SPOT ON.

I used to love all of these John Woo/Tsui hark/Ringo Lam Hong Kong movies when I was in high school. All of this pro wrestling talk gave me a thought of how the two are similar: high flying action, bombastic, over the top characters, ham-fisted acting, and premises that make little, if any sense. And also apparently, Dennis Rodman!

Haha, I knew Scheer was going to come out swinging after all of the nerd tears last week about how the gang didn't know all of the subtleties, archetypes, etc of Mortal Kombat.

Tell me about it, I was all gungho to listen to it this morning! I am sadder than Zooks at an Omelet Buffet.

Seriously, the Mortal Kombat game is a button-masher with zero story. What difference does it make if the comedians makng fun of the movie have never played it? What subtleties could they have possibly missed out on? If we were talking Baldur's Gate 2 or Metal Gear Solid movies, I could see it... but Mortal Kombat? Come on.

I was thinking how great that title would look on the marquee at the MGM in Vegas.

Dude this is brilliant, thanks for the tip!! I was watching Mortal Kombat while I saw this... 1.5x will make the 102 min running time go a little faster. I really have trouble getting through bad movies (even if they're getting the HDTGM treatment) if they're not a tight 90.
