This is the 3rd time I've seen Zardoz, and this is the first time that I was able to follow the plot. It's stupid and it doesn't really make sense in any conventional sort of way, True I was intoxicated in every viewing (how else could you sit through this movie). But I'm rather proud that I could decode all of the psycho babel of dialog into a "plot". The ending, I think is the fucking craziest, because they just flash forward until they're skeletons (with hair) standing up? Why not just say "We lived happily ever after" or something? Please Please Please let there be a HDTGM Showgirls! I disagree with most the people in this forum post. I think Showgirls is visually, amazing (Verhoeven, duh). I also think the script is GOOD. The acting however, is always turned to a 10 (or higher). I think you could recast and reshoot the movie with the same script and get a commercially successful film, but not have any of the magic. It's all about how over the top everyone is at all times. Absolute favorite "bad" movie.
