Since The Shadow was recently covered, I want to bring up another film directed by Russell Mulcahy which happens to star Alec Baldwin's then-wife at the time Kim Basinger, along with Val Kilmer and Terence Stamp in a forgettable heist film called The Real McCoy from 1993. Trailer is down below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At15r1-YUYQ

Since The Phantom was just covered, I want to bring up another film that director Simon Wincer made. Lightning Jack is your option.

It's out now, and it is just as bad you heard based on the reviews. In fact, one video review revealed a very dark twist at the end for what is supposed to be a kids film! Here's the sample just in case. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hiy7yUTeV0Y

The movie is next according to the new minisode!

This 1978 disaster film about killer bees clearly marked the end of Irwin Allen's heyday. Michael Caine admits that this is one of the worst films he has ever done!

My Stepmother is an Alien (1988)
SlidePocket replied to faye-raye's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
The title is actually called My Stepmother Is an Alien. Kim Basinger was the female lead in that one alongside Dan Aykroyd and a young Alyson Hannigan in her feature film debut. -
Episode 141 - The Shadow: LIVE! (w/ Pete Davidson)
SlidePocket replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Not to mention he helmed both "Highlander" and "Highlander II: The Quickening". -
Besides Marlon Brando, it also got both Charlie and Martin Sheen, Donald Sutherland, Mira Sorvino, David Arquette and Thomas Haden Church. This flick pretty much went straight-to-video despite the cast involved at the time.

The mother of all remakes that should never have been remade, Gus Van Sant's version takes a huge dump on the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock classic by going among others: making everything shot-for-shot, wooden performances from an otherwise talented cast, Norman masturbating while watching Marion taking her clothes off and the epic miscasting of Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates. Never brought up on this forum before so now, let's have it!

Bumping this up in honor of Garry Marshall's passing and ironically, I watched this on Netflix last night before I found out about his death.

Following one of the recent episodes when HDTGM covered The Avengers (1998), I need to bring up another bad film that Uma Thurman had made which came out around the same time as Pulp Fiction. It is Gus Van Sant's Even Cowgirls Get the Blues! The film shows Thurman born with huge thumbs which allows her to hitchhike across the country and strange things happen around her. This has got to be one of the most bad-weird films out there and this is Van Sant's worst film outside of the Psycho remake. Besides Thurman, it's got a huge ensemble cast (John Hurt, Keanu Reeves, Rain Phoenix, Lorraine Bracco, Pat Morita, Sean Young, Angie Dickinson, Crispin Glover, Roseanne Barr, Carol Kane, Buck Henry, Heather Graham, Ed Begley Jr.) with almost all of them appearing and disappearing very quickly. I think it's time I would bring this to the forefront in case anyone remembers it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imbA6Nkb8e8

This film was also notable for being the last film Gene Siskel ever reviewed before his death a few weeks after its February 5, 1999 release. He gave it a thumbs down. In comparison, the last film that Siskel gave a thumbs up was She's All That, which happened to star SMG's longtime love Freddie Prinze Jr.

This is one of three pretty bad films that Eddie Murphy starred in 2002 next to "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" and "Showtime" plus a poor adaptation of the TV show it was based on. Not to mention that Murphy and Owen Wilson share very little chemistry with each other.

This is the film that tried to break free of Meg Ryan's girl-next-door image, most notably that very strange sex scene, but when it flopped, it completely derailed her career. And that was only three years after she left Dennis Quaid for Russell Crowe.
