We need you minisode! -
I was talking about that she had two movies on the same weekend, not the tragedy itself.
-
Strangely enough, this movie and Hardball came out three days after 9/11 happened and Diane Lane was actually in both of these things!

Liberty Stands Still (2003)

Best known for being the final film that Linda Fiorentino starred in before she retired. -
From the director of Howard the Duck comes Eddie Murphy's first career mistake and one of many misses for Dudley Moore, 1984's Best Defense! Originally, the movie only had Moore as the lead, but due to poor test screenings, Paramount chose to add then-rising star Murphy into the mix and with that, both actors' plots are completely unrelated to the whole movie! It underperformed so badly, that Murphy would eventually poke fun at the movie when he hosted Saturday Night Live a few months after its release to promote Beverly Hills Cop. I wonder what the original version was like?

It's another unnecessary comedy sequel that tries to bring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli's acting careers back in full force after a string of flops following the original, but that film eventually brought them down even further! Keep an eye out for a pre-Misery Kathy Bates as a guidance counselor whom Arthur and Linda try to contact on adopting a child.

This film is officially the next episode instead of Dragonheart!

The Boy Next Door - 10%

Update from Dragonheart changed to The Boy Next Door. 4 appearances: Jennifer Lopez - The Back-Up Plan, Gigli, Anaconda, The Boy Next Door 2 appearances: Kristin Chenoweth - Deck the Halls, The Boy Next Door
-
Also directed by Rob Cohen just in case!
-
The original is still a classic. John Gielgud won an Oscar for goodness sake! You should focus on either the sequel Arthur 2: On the Rocks or the remake with Russell Brand, because those are equally bad.

This is clearly one of director Rob Cohen's better films next to Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and the original Fast and the Furious. It was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, making it one of the few Oscar-nominated films (Toys, Junior, Con Air, Face/Off) to ever be covered on this show!

This movie is next!

The man who directed this (Steve Rash) also made The Buddy Holly Story, Can't Buy Me Love and Son-in-Law! Talk about a weird filmography huh?

Jeremiah S. Chechik, the director of this film, also made National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Benny & Joon! To see him go from the promise of his first two features, to sliding down to this pretty much ended his feature film career. He does focus on TV work these days from shows like "Chuck", "Burn Notice", "Leverage" and "Gossip Girl", so it's not a complete loss, but what would've been if he continued helming movies if The Avengers was a success.

She had good early roles in Dangerous Liaisons, The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen and Mad Dog and Glory before Pulp Fiction. Plus before Kill Bill she even won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Movie for Hysterical Blindness. I'm guessing it had more to do with poor choices in projects rather than Thurman herself.

It did lose Worst Picture, but Psycho didn't win since it wasn't nominated. Worst Picture went to An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn. The film did however, won the Razzie for Worst Remake or Sequel in a three-way tie with Psycho and Roland Emmerich's Godzilla.

The Avengers are here! Get ready for weird stuff like teddy bear suits, a clone of Emma Peel, a mute Eddie Izzard who says only one line before his impending death, and how the whole thing got butchered before its release.

Next episode soon people!
