  1. Madonna strikes again! This time, she plays a yoga instructor who gets dumped by her boyfriend, she and her gay friend played by Rupert Everett sleep together, finds out she's pregnant, and they both raise their son together within the next six years. Then, Madonna starts hooking up with Benjamin Bratt and she wants to take the little boy away from Rupert Everett in order to move in with her new boy toy, and a nasty custody battle erupts. Then it's discovered at the hearing that the father wasn't Rupert Everett, but the ex-boyfriend who Madonna got dumped by! Not only does this film change tones throughout, it's also sadly the final project directed by Oscar-winner John Schlesinger of "Midnight Cowboy" and "Marathon Man" fame. And the soundtrack contains Madonna's cover of "American Pie" just to let you know. Let's blow "The Next Best Thing" down the dungeon!

    Village of the Damned (1995)

The remake also happened to come out one month before Christopher Reeve got paralyzed from that horse riding accident in case anyone wants to get their history checked.

    Chain Reaction

This was director Andrew Davis' followup to The Fugitive, and that pretty much marked the beginning of the end for the guy ("A Perfect Murder", "Collateral Damage", "The Guardian"). It's also notable for being Rachel Weisz's first Hollywood film before her breakthrough with The Mummy a few years later.

    EPISODE 119.5 - MINISODE 119.5

I was first introduced to this film when my mom recorded both that and The Neverending Story when it aired on TBS in around December 1993 as I was only a year old at that time. I know my cousin is a huge He-Man collector and up until rewatching this one again a few years ago, the only part I remembered specifically about the film is when Frank Langella pops out in the post-credits scene exclaiming that he will back for a sequel, which of course did not happen. Needless to say, I'm glad the gang is covering it next week so I can hear their thoughts on that.

    Cliffhanger (1993)

Gotta bring this up because although it's one of Sylvester Stallone's better movies, there's still an amount of weird stuff going on that the hosts really need to touch upon! Also, John Lithgow's iffy English accent.

    Basic Instinct 2

This film, along with Catwoman a few years earlier, helped derail Sharon Stone's career even further. Also, her co-star from Catwoman, Benjamin Bratt, was considered for the male lead, but was rejected because apparently Stone thought he wasn't a good enough actor for the role. Imagine a Catwoman reunion that would have been!

    On Deadly Ground (1994)

Please do it, this is the movie where Steven Seagal's ego went through the roof! And then marked the beginning of the end that eventually resulted in Half Past Dead being his last theatrical release, and is now a fat has-been.

    Look Who's Talking (1989)

The first was actually pretty entertaining. How about more on the sequels instead. There's Look Who's Talking Too featuring Roseanne Barr as the voice of the sister, and the final installment Look Who's Talking Now with Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton voicing the dogs.

    Windtalkers

This flick marked the beginning of the end of John Woo's American career as after this one bombed hard in theaters ($77 million against its $115 million budget) and the disappointment of Paycheck the following year, Woo has since gone back to Hong Kong and never did another Hollywood project again.

    The Experts (1989)

This film is perhaps best known as the film where John Travolta and Kelly Preston met and fell in love, and have stayed together ever since.

    The Beverly Hillbillies (1993)

This was director Penelope Spheeris' followup to "Wayne's World", and would make a quick downturn for her career as she later did "The Little Rascals", "Black Sheep" and "Senseless" before not doing a mainstream movie ever again.

    Stigmata

Stigmata sees Patricia Arquette getting possessed by the devil with Gabriel Byrne trying to help free her from the entity. This film came out the same year as End of Days, which oddly enough also starred Byrne, and was made by the guy who helmed the likes of Blank Check and the remake of The Fog. Gotta bring this up on the forum here.

As a plus, the music for the film was done by none other than Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins!
