Tim Allen finds out from his ex-wife (JoBeth Williams) that they shared a son together and that she raised him in a jungle. He meets him for the first time and chaos hilariously ensues when Allen brings the jungle boy to New York. Also features Martin Short, Lolita Davidovich and a young Leelee Sobieski as Short's daughter. It's a remake of an obscure foreign film called "Little Indian, Big City" where it was panned by critics, most notably from Siskel and Ebert, where they named it one of the worst films they've seen.

So Kris Kristofferson and Chayanne playing father and son, I don't quite get the resemblance.

Randa Haines went from making a film that earned a bunch of awards attention ("Children of a Lesser God") to this in a span of a decade, which I can't help but feel was a step backwards for her.

Whatever happened to Chayanne? This was his one chance at movie stardom and pretty much disappeared shortly after.

Fire Birds has Nicolas Cage, Tommy Lee Jones and Sean Young in a "Top Gun" inspired movie where instead of jet fighter pilots, you get helicopter pilots attempting to dismantle a drug cartel in South America. The dialogue is so melancholy and the similarities to "Top Gun" is clearly obvious, that it was clear the studio was trying to replicate that movie's success. Emmanuelle Beart's English-language debut and she speaks like a bird for most of the film!

My next pick for this series is a film that I own on VHS but never got around into watching the whole thing! Now I'm righting that wrong as the movie will be: Dance with Me (1998) starring Vanessa Williams!

I will try and make my decision tomorrow.
