It's the movie that helped caused the end of the disaster film genre for well over a decade. Paul Newman, William Holden and Jacqueline Bisset among others are caught up in an active volcano that threatens an island resort somewhere in the South Pacific. This bombed so badly that Irwin Allen stopped producing films for the rest of his life.

This marked the beginning of the end of Paul Mazursky's directorial career, which was later sealed shut by The Pickle (1993) and Faithful (1996).

Lily Tomlin and John Travolta make a very strange pairing in this forgettable romantic drama. Perhaps most notable is where Tomlin met her longtime companion, Jane Wagner, who wrote and directed this one.

Most notable for being the first film produced by Amblin Entertainment, but was also written by Lawrence Kasdan and directed by Michael Apted. This film ain't that bad as I thought John Belushi and Blair Brown shared some good chemistry together.

Let's give this one a bump

I actually have a bit of a weak spot for this one.

Bump in case anybody's familiar with that movie.

Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone star in this non-suspenseful thriller from 2003 about a family who moves over to a new house where they are being stalked by a man who previously lived there and seeks out to kill them. Also stars Stephen Dorff, Juliette Lewis, Christopher Plummer and a young Kristen Stewart as their daughter. This film is so silly and not that frightening, that I just didn't care about what was going on due to what motive Dorff's character has against Quaid and Stone living in his old home, and some of the acting was pretty awful. This was surprisingly helmed by Mike Figgis, who went from amazing stuff like "Internal Affairs" (Richard Gere/Andy Garcia) and "Leaving Las Vegas" (Nicolas Cage/Elisabeth Shue) to snooze-worthy titles like "One Night Stand" (Wesley Snipes) and eventually this, where after that he basically did pretty much nothing. Anybody heard about this?
