Probably, though I think one of the Fast and Furious sequels was also among them.

From "A Night in Heaven", here is the song that overshadowed the movie:

I remember another trailer for this movie was played under its original title "Stepkids" on the VHS of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II", but its release got pushed back a year shortly afterwards now with its current title.

This is the last decent film John Landis made before his career continued to sputter in the '90s. It didn't quite live up to the success of "An American Werewolf in London" a decade before, but it does have its moments.

At the video store where Stuart Pankin slaps his nephew in the back of the neck in which it was already injured, you can see posters of "Honeymoon in Vegas" and "It Could Happen to You" in the background. These films were also directed by Andrew Bergman, who made "Striptease".

There is one connection between "Striptease" and "Showgirls". Rena Riffel, who played Penny in Showgirls, shows up in Striptease as well as a fellow dancer!

John G. Avildsen, the director of "Rocky" and "The Karate Kid" helms this tale about a married college professor who endures a strain in her marriage as she has an affair with a strip dancer, who happens to be one of her students! Lesley Ann Warren and Christopher Atkins share very little chemistry with each other and the climax for this film is so bizarre that you even get a chuckle out of it.
Â
It's perhaps best known for having "Heaven" by Bryan Adams on its soundtrack, and the song later became a hit two years after the movie was a dud. You can watch it on YouTube before it gets pulled.
